But despite whatever façade, each person has their truly soft spot, that one pinpointed section that when even brushed, can send anyone reeling. And as cliché and nauseating as it was for the man who while never disrespected women, never felt any kind of romantic feeling towards the many that paraded in front of him, something that was meant to be a mere hook-up would be his weak spot.

How absolutely textbook, but there was a reason why it was a trope because as with most clichés, they had to occur enough for them to become so stereotypical.
