Here's The Thing. "ace People Can Still Have Sex" And "aro People Can Still Be In Relationships" Are

here's the thing. "ace people can still have sex" and "aro people can still be in relationships" are objectively true statements. this is because people can do whatever the fuck they want forever regardless of their label/orientation. however some of you have GOT to get your shit together and stop using those statements to undermine larger conversations about aspec identity. following up "ace people don't owe you sex in a relationship" with "ace people can still have sex in a relationship though!" is not fucking helpful! yes it's true. yes it's a reality for many people. however if we used our fucking brains for a second and thought about how following up "people don't have to conform to societal expectation" with "but people can still conform!! don't worry they can still conform!!!!" is counterproductive and very frustrating for a lot of people then we could get back to the actual point which is not "aspec people can still have sex/be in relationships" but "aspec people can do whatever they want with their relationships and their bodies". which they can, by the way. they can do whatever they want forever. and you should give them 200 dollars every time you see them for dealing with this shit

Oh my god

OH MY GOD

I hate my life

The sign for jupiter

The one named #21 in the tags???

Thats the one I saw carved in a stone fountain 10 years ago!

This has been my sign for ten years!!

(Although I redesigned it a few times, the main strokes are completly the same)

I put this on all my notebooks, art, scetches... w t f. Nobody told me thisssssss. Is there a meaning behind the design of the sign??? I need to know!

(And isn't Jupiter that one reeeeeeal unpleasant guy :/) (This isn't what I wanted)

I'd like to add a little thought:

Woman are also tought, more than in other places, that they are different from men, and that men are different from woman.

That they should hide and, especally becourse it's called 'safe space', it implies that a woman is never safe elsewhere.

(I personally think it sends a stronger sign to young girls, and that young boys don't even think about this segregation that much.

(Keyword: changing rooms f.e. in schools, elemantary schools)

All are thought that it's normal to be different, but only girls have the external influence that allows them to realise what this seggragation is for: to differenciate, and for them to be 'safe' and 'proper')

It directly supports the schoolground seggragation, and I really fucking hate it.

Children are not aware that boys and girls are 'different' from each other until they are put in a pink dress and boys must wear blue trousers.

(Children have preferences: ask them! from an early age on!)

(Most children are not even aware that the concept exists until people start to mention gender & sex and treat childen differently. Other children are just other children.)

Or the teachers behaviour!

Praising girls and boys for different things, telling boys ' oh your such a cute boy, you will be so handsome when you grow up.'

I'd go so far to say that every mention of gender and gendertypical behaviour assigned to a group slowly but surly impacts how children see themselves and others, and base these assumtions and views on gender. They will avoid and ridicule gender tipical or atipical behaviour until most have to a apply to a standard and can't discover more about themselves unless they want to die a social su!c!de.

I could go on and on about the topic, but the main message stands:

Gender seggregation is harmful, and it starts at the earliest stages of life, forcing children to adhere to societys gender standards and preventing the cistipical genders form forming connections or seeing each other as: the same.

(please note english is not my first language)

(:the same.' was very intentional though)

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

hey parents: there is literally no non-abusive reason a person would want the ability to read someone’s emails, track their location, and go through their calls and text messages without their knowledge or consent.
