i genuinely don’t understand how anyone that stans one direction doesn’t stan all five of the boys individually? like i understand if you stan one or a couple of the boys solo and don’t listen to one direction but i feel like if you listen to one direction you can’t actively dislike any of the boys?

Hi again! 😊 Yes, you're right actually, there are few actual ot5 blogs these days, I follow bakagamieru, goldenfive and a few smaller ones, then I follow some Ziam and Larrie-blogs. I was a Larrie-only since 2013, so to remove all would remove H/L and I don't want that either. In general I can follow as long as they 'stay in their lane', as in they blog about Larry and don't talk of Ziam if they do not believe, they don't talk shit on zayn etc. That will make me unfollow. Why say anything 1/2

I remember how shocked/confused/disappointed I'd felt after finding things out by myself by accident. All of a sudden, basically all the holy-fighting-for-their-love blogs I'd liked so much left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. But that was after only half a year of lurking in the shadows.

(OK, my sister had already laid some groundwork.. I had planned hooking her up on H&L as well 🙈 but "sadly" and as to be expected of her, she had rooted for ot5 and especially the underdog Liam/Ziam (but at that time, she hadn't believed in any of the couples). Soon, she had started trying my nerves with "oh but Ziam does this as well 🙃" on purpose to which my secret uncensored answer had been "stfu, you don't even know what you're talking about, this is entirely different, they are not real and do not need to know they are seen/supported/loved".) 🥴

Ziam is a way more delicate matter than e.g. Zarry or Niam.. like say with a surety that Niam isn't real, whatever. But anyone supporting Harry and Louis who just claims the possibility of Liam and Zayn is anything near zero can fuck off. Like, it obviously has to be OK to say "I'm barely informed and have honestly no idea" or "sorry I just don't care for Liam and Zayn as individuals as much" (in both of these cases, I will side-eye you though if you're praising your holy self for being a woke hero having it all figured out - or worse: talk unfounded shit about them, just like you said, stay in your lane). I like this stance: "I've looked at it and I'm just not sure, but I will treat the topic at least with some respect and show at least a tiny bit of support in case they should really need it". It's totally fine not to be completely sure! But 'not sure' does not equal 'nonsensical', should not lead to completely dismissing it (as I saw some blogs do that back in the days)?

If the blog seems unsure even in their stance on H&L, then I can almost understand how it's too much to ask of them to take L&Z even remotely seriously. But I'll stop commenting on that blog specifically since I know so very little and I don't feel too comfortable with it 😉 You're the only one who can decide what's too upsetting for you and why, but it sounded like you made a decision anyway.

One thing that I dislike in regard to some of the Ziam community is a growing hostility towards Harry. Sigh. It's not that easy getting the content and keeping your dash a joyful space. Some day I'll go look for some more blogs that feel right for me..

Zayn liked a post of singer Ingrid Michaelson wearing a Zayn shirt. How odd, I (and everyone else) thought, Zayn never publicly likes things what is going ON. Well SURE ENOUGH – Ingrid and Zayn collab OUT TONIGHT! WHAT! To Begin Again comes out Midnight EST tonight, omg, and not only that– there’s a Zinterview coming out!! GQ (using a very cool aesthetic gif with the tag line Everyone is Watching) announced an interview with Zayn coming out TODAY (on newstands in Spain :| available everywhere else sometime later)- they say Zayn “discusses his latest album, his relationship with fans.” ZOMG!! We don’t have the whole thing yet, not being able to pop to a newstand in Spain personally, but there’s a cute picture of Zayn looking young and fresh in one of those gucci disney stripey shirts and his blue hair (so from last Dec-ish), and we got one teaser quote– “I continually go against the grain when people tell me to do things a certain way, but my stubbornness and willingness to want to do things differently help me get through it.”

Niall is everywhere today in advance of his show tomorrow! He’s back on the golf (promoting) circuit, getting the word out about the Modest tournament- he says “I think some of the female golf professionals who currently play need to be celebrated more so these young girls have icons to look up to, and that was a part of the reason I was so passionate about making our event,” and that he wants to “educate these young girls and get rid of some of the pre-conceived ideas of golf being an old man’s sport.” He also mentioned the old Rio bread van story but with a twist, saying “often that was the only way of getting out of the hotel to see things or to get a bit of golf in” hmmm I feel like that was just your priority Neil but he does talk about how he used to play with Harry “out on tour for a bit of downtime” and says “Harry Styles was a pretty keen player at the time and the golf course was somewhere to chill out for us” (at least he doesn’t call him ‘grammy winner Harry Styles’ and I know it isn’t actually weird but the full name thing sounds so funny from him). There’s a sneak preview of him in the promo for Dermot O Leary’s new podcast series which looks awesome, and he congratulated Roman Kemp on his new documentary about the mental health/suicide crisis among young British men, calling it “eye opening and beautiful” and saying, “we must all look out for each other. The two ok rule, always ask twice.” And of course he’s promoting his SHOW, that’s TOMORROW– he says he’s put together an acoustic set and makes a cute lil face and tells us “don’t you worry” about not going out this year “cause this little Irishman has got you covered”! THANKS little Irishman! But hey– what about that Anne Marie collab from way back? Niall and Anne Marie both respond to a tweet asking just that to say… well literally nothing. They both just posted eyeball emojis. Hmph.

Grammy winner Harry Styles was spotted out to eat in Malibu in his favorite personal-time look, the bode ship jacket and floppy pants, and an official portrait with his grammy is up (but via gucci so… not THE official portrait I don’t think). It’s very cute, an excellent Mona Lisa smirk and boa. Alicia Silverstone (Cher from Clueless herself!) took to twitter to compliment Harry on the “Clueless vibes” of his grammys look- “Cher would be so honored (and totally approve!!) of this chic look,” but backing vocalist India Shawn shows some regret after braving the world of twitter harries all week– “some of y’all are annoying.” Very mildly put, I can only imagine, I hope Alicia doesn’t get any trouble. Oh and Brazilian artist Fiuk spilled that someone in 1D flirted with him back when they partied in 2014 and he now regrets not going for it (even though the reason he didn’t was that he’s straight). Pictures from that party of him being firmly gripped around the waist by a happy looking Harry circulated, but all five of the boys were there and drunk and of course there’s no reason to believe (knowing what we know about how they are, ie casually flirty) that whoever it was was actually prepared to follow through on any flirting, but who can’t relate to “I’m the wrong sexuality but is there really a WRONG sexuality to want to smooch a member of 1D?”

A couple of the guys from Only The Poets talk about Louis and how amazing Kill My Mind is (“that is a FUCKING CHUNE THOUGH”) and reveal that Louis agrees with me that Ceasefire is the OTP tune that matters. Twitter louies started Louniversity, an account that helps louies with school, so if you trust twitter stans to give accurate info that seems very sweet, and dusted off the Buy Defenseless push, which is always nice right, love that song- except when people are doing it to be dicks about Fine Line pushing back up in the itunes (and probably other) charts due to Harry’s grammy win, which is stupid. FFS if you’re not into someone just ignore them, not everything has to be so hostile all the time jeez.

No I don’t think so at all. Let me start from the beginning. A few Larries turned into houies and solo louies, because they think that Harry is trying to sabotage Louis’ career or that Louis is the one who is taking the bullet for Harry; therefore accepting the abuse while Harry has a good career. To me that is not true at all and I will explain why, in a bit. I just want to add that these are my thoughts and in no way do I want to bring anyone down.

1.Waltzing Harry

So, the first problem is that a few people think Harry is waltzing over the rest of One Direction, because he gets magnificent promo. This is not something I think people should base their Houie thoughts on, because of the following; Harry has ALWAYS been the front man of One Direction, from day 1. He has always been the one with the most fans or the one every interviewer would try to impress. That was not his choice, we all know that all of the boys were given certain images. From history we also know that ONE member of a boyband always goes solo and has the most succes and becomes a ‘break out star’ ; beyonce, Paul MCcartney, Justin Timberlake and Robbie Williams, for example. This is also not different from One Direction. What I am trying to say is that there is a patterns and it is not just a coincidence that these things happen to 99% of the boybands out there. It is a strategy. We all know Harry brought/brings up the most money out of 1D, because since day 1 he was the ‘popular’ one. Simon Cowell and the losers at Sony are hungry money wolf, so who will they invest most in? Exactly; Harry Styles. Before anyone says that 1D is not signed under Sony anymore, they are STILL signed to Sony as a band.

 2. Harry hates One Direction.

Loads of people tend to spread rumors that Harry hates One Direction, because he wanted to be free and all. I believe that is all to tarnish Harry’s boy band image and rise the solo Harry image. Harry himself called One Direction ‘’my wonderful friends’’ and he even said he loves them. I don’t understand why some then automatically start believing the written headlines. We know from experiences that those headlines want one thing: attention. The people Harry hangs out with are also anti-1D such as Roman Kemp (sometimes) and Bunny Kinney. James Cordon and other major shows such as the Late Late Show always aim for Harry first too, because they know he will bring a lot of viewers with him. HSHQ also want nothing to do with 1D. I don’t understand why those Houies don’t believe the headlines of Louis being a father, but they do believe it when 1000 articles say that Harry hates 1D, even though he stated differently. 

 3. Harry steals Louis’ thunder.

A few people are also mad that Harry, for example, tweeted about WS two days before WMI came out, but what they don’t see is Harry promoting Louis’ song Two Of Us by putting it at the end of his video Sweet Creature. They are also mad at Harry having a beer with Liam Gallagher, a person Louis loves, when Louis has been to Liam’s launch party recently. I hope you notice how horrible and toxic it sounds that people get mad at Harry because he met one of Louis’ biggest idols. What about the fact that Harry had a 10 year long pause when Louis’ solo came up? Was Harry mocking his voice? NO.

 4. Harry staying signed to Sony.

Long story short; a lot of Houies think Louis and Harry signed to Sony as solo artists, because Louis was there to enhance solo Harry. I do agree with the fact that Louis, compared to Harry, hardly gets any promo from Sony, but I don’t think their careers are linked or whatsoever. Let me begin by saying that all members of 1D were signed, as a band, to Sony and Syco. They STILL are signed to Sony as a band. So Sony still hasn’t lost its power over the boys, even solo wise their contract as a band STILL remains valid. You have to imagine Sony as a big tree, and Columbia, Syco, Epic and RCA etc, are its branches. This means that 1D is a part of Sony anyways. They are still tied to Sony by their 1D contract AND their solo contracts.  So when people say ‘’Harry and Louis signed to Sony because they wanted to’’ you know it is wrong. They had no actual choice. That is also why I don’t understand Houies. Compared to Harry, every solo artist of 1D is getting trashy promo, not Louis only. Zayn gets nothing and neither does Liam. From the beginning Harry has always been the CENTER of 1D, that was not his choice, it was his image, so why is this different from all those 1D years? If anything, it makes the most sense.

 5. harry thanking Rob and Jeff and Sony etc.

In multiple interviews, according to Houies, Harry has stated that he loves his label and that Rob is so good to him etc. now, there are lots of Houies jumping to conclusions and saying that Harry is okay with those people killing Louis’ career and rising Harry up instead. I believe there was a Houie who said that Louis has been sabotaged and that Harry bears some responsibility in that, all because Harry thanked his label. On how many occasions did Liam have to thank Simon Cowell, Modest Management and Sony? Exactly, every single time they had won an award. I don’t see how this is different at all. We know how ALL the 1D men hate Simon, Syco, Sony and Modest etc. yet Liam thanked them anyway? Does that mean Liam liked the abuse and closeting etc? Absolutely not. Those situations are the exact same thing.

You are absolutely allowed to draw your own conclusions, but this fandom is getting toxic by day. First we have Harries hating on Louis and saying Louis bullied Harry, and then we have Louies saying Harry is a fame hungry demon who smashed his heart. The same thing is happening again. First, in 2012, people were convinced Louis fell in love with Eleanor and broke Harry’s heart and now people believe Harry fell in love with his career and broke Louis’ heart.

Of course you should decide whatever you feel is right, and perhaps I am missing the point Houies are making, feel free to ask me about it. It is just so strange how this fandom is divided.

i want to know why people ( mostly twitter stans ) give so much energy to what deuxmoi posts ?? they basically never know what’s going on and get all their info from fans. why listen to anything they say?
