A/N: okay, I know I haven't continued my other stories but I'm just stuck with them. I want to continue them but I don't know where to go. I'm rewriting chapters but they aren't ready yet. I'm not happy with them but will post once I think they're good enough. This will probably just the series I update when I'm blocked on the others since it's from a novel idea that I've been messing around with for 4 years.

You know how in the movies, you see these big dramatic death scenes? Time pauses as the dying character gives some heart-wrenching monologue, their friends and loved ones gathered around and listening intently. The rain starts beating down like shattered glass, and the sky covers with a blanket of darkness, as if to personify the death and sadness lingering in the air even further. The people watch as the character slowly slips away, tears running down their perfectly made-up faces. 

In reality it's far different. 

Time won't stop. The sun won't cease to shine and the sky doesn't stop being beautiful. The heat will beat down on your skin, and the only cold will be from the hole in your heart where your best friend used to be. The only wetness you feel is the blood flooding from his body as you desperately try to stop what's already happened. Mascara runs down your face and your nose will run. 

This isn't a pretty moment like in the movies. Death isn't pretty. 

All you'll see is red. There are no last words, no final goodbyes… Nothing. No justifications or answers to your questions. 

Why him? 

When I'm the most useless person and he's the sunshine of my world, why take him away?

Why not me?

But you won't get them. You just get to look into his empty eyes as the world goes on around you. 

And no one stops to see what used to be Taehyung. No one stops to look at what remains of what was your best friend. 

No one cares. 

But the moment of death isn't the hard part. 

It's every moment after. 

Can we all just take a second to appreciate this man.... thank you.
