told my mom 911 is returning tomorrow and she said she had a vision for what might happen in the first episode and proceeded to describe a scenario that easily could be a buddietommy fanfic.

![a tweet from max gao saying "Tim Minear told me there’s a scene in episode 6 of the new season of #911onABC that he is very excited for people to watch. Full interview to come @TVGuide after the premiere on Thursday night!"](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d6f425593176b4ed612c5010c2e6d9e9/7d76947afe459651-da/s500x750/9a1b7f33900f28d647a57091edef99242b27a50b.jpg)
timothy [middle name] minear what do you mean? what do you mean?
fic update: what are your intentions? (ch 5-8)
pairings: buck/tommy, tommy/omc's, canon background pairings rating: E, word count: 45k (out of ~130k total) status: complete (posting schedule) tags: tommy pov, canon compliant, character study, queer themes/culture, angst, hurt/comfort, internalized homophobia, found family- THE WORKS. with a happy ending because i wouldn't do that to you.
Summary:
It's Tommy and Buck—the family they find and the family they make.
Excerpt:
About a week later, Tommy calls Eddie. "Hey, what's up? You're still coming, right?" "Yeah, I am, I was just wondering what someone wears to someone else's kid's adoption hearing? Like is there a dress code? I was looking online but it wasn't helpful. Socks are out again for some reason, and—are you gonna let me keep talking until I make an ass of myself?" "Absolutely," Eddie replies.
Regardless of whether the original muse comment was RPF related or not, everyone read it that way for a reason. People have gotten way too bold and open with that shit.
okay yeah I have gotten way too many asks on this topic, and clearly people aren’t just looking at OP’s account, so I’ve done the work for all of us since no one wants to provide anything beyond allegations themselves.
OP posted a whole thread apologizing for their behavior. They say they recognize the behavior crossed a line and won’t be doing it in the future, that they were trying to make a lighthearted joke (which, that’s always the fallback isn’t it?) and clearly it didn’t land as they wanted it to, and that they reached out to Oliver directly to apologize for making him uncomfortable.
Oliver did respond to the apology saying no apology was necessary and that he thought it was cool they reached out to apologize and to enjoy the premiere.
so what’d we learn here?
when you comment on a public platform, other people can indeed see your stupid ass remarks, so if you’re making a joke and it’s to someone you don’t fucking know, know it can land totally wrong and you end up being blasted by the fandom. (yes it’s funny that the complete opposite situation happened in vroom vroom rpf paradise fandom the very same day. that’s a whole other thing I don’t have time to get into.)
taking accountability is crucial here. if you fucked up, own up to it!
Oliver does indeed read those goddamn DMs so lord help anyone putting shit in there 🙃
Maybe, just maybe, you’ll get a lot further in life if you move with kindness instead of malice. OP reached out as directly as they could to apologize and it ended up being a positive interaction
Oliver is far nicer than me. I would have accepted the apology but made it clear where the problem lie. But he’s also a celeb, which means if he had done that, somehow he’d have been blasted for reinforcing that boundary. Stuck between a rock and a rock in that unequal power dynamic.
People are human. We fuck up. If we’re going to call out bad behavior in this fandom, we also need to recognize when people own up to their bad behavior and show they’re making strides to do better.
Thanks for coming to this Ted talk. I will not be answering any further questions on this topic or related topics, so.
You know how we can very easily tell Buddie ain't happening this season? The 9-1-1 instagram now wants nothing to do with Buddie canon and anti-BuckTommy comments. Why in the world would a social media manager remove comments about a specific ship, whether positive (Buddie) or negative (BuckTommy) unless they were attempting to send a direct message? Why would anyone care about the fandom baiting itself unless it's causing more harm than good?
Between the death threats and the fics and speculation about sexuality OUT IN THE OPEN WHERE PEOPLE CAN SEE YOU...Buddie fandom really stepped in this time, didn't they.
i lost the og file so i don't have the original quality :'') but here's that edit in higher res. if they ever give josh a proper boyfriend trust there'll be a round 2
