Akutagawa Leaves The Mafia Instead Of Dazai AU (akuatsu, Soukoku)

Akutagawa leaves the mafia instead of Dazai AU (akuatsu, soukoku)

Since people seems to like my previous headcanons, I’m posting my headanons for this AU because I find the setting really interesting. If someone wants to wright a fic about this AU feel free ‘cause i can’t do it at the moment. Ok here we go, enjoy:

- On chapter one, how would Atsushi meet Akutagawa instead of Dazai? I imagine Akutagawa having a severe coughing attack, resting on the riverbank were Atsushi is lamenting his life. Atsushi sees him and decides to rob him, but the guy is practically having an asthma attack so instead he tries to get help. Akutagawa is surprised later because this kid is in the same situation he was once, but decided to help instead of hurting others so he returns the favor and takes him under his wing. Mentor Akutagawa is now a thing!

- Akutagawa is partnered with Kunikida and they actually make a good team. Akutagawa always follows orders and gets things done (unlike somebody). They don’t get along though. Kunikida’s Ramblings get on Akutagawa’s nerves and he always disappears silently, so that leaves us with kunikida talking to himself and that infuriates him.

- Back to Akuatsu, Akutagawa is trying to change and be a better mentor than the one he had, so he tries to encourage and be kind to Atsushi, but he is really bad at this comforting stuff so it always gets awkward. Atsushi finds this odd form of affection kinda sweet, so it’s fine.

- Akutagawa PATTING ATSUSHI’S HEAD.(take me now)

- They have a lot in common so I can imagine that while Akutagawa is the mentor, he is still learning to adapt to the light and is quite lost, butwith Atsushi they learn from each other and they grow and mature together and form a strong bond.

- Akutagawa comforts Atsushi with his nightmares. Again, I’m weak for awkward comforting sweet Akutagawa. In return Atsushi helps him when he loses control and gets too violent, because old habits die hard.

- They also have big fights (this is akuatsu what do you expect?). Akutagawa is a difficult person to approach even in his best days, so he would get frustrated with Atsushi’s self-deprecating nature and Atsushi would get frustrated because he doesn’t know what Akutagawa wants from him (don’t worry they talk and get better)

- Akutagawa freaking out the first time Atsushi’s loses a limb because they don’t know about the healing factor and the kid just got his leg chopped off!!! When it’s all done and the leg is back, he yells at him while carrying him back to the agency.

- Gin is also at the agency. She gets along with Naomi, she doesn’t share the same opinions on sibling relationships, though they do have a “my big brother is better” sort of arguments sometimes. Also, I don’t know why, but I see Gin partnered with Kenji. Don’t ask, it’s just that Kenji has this habit of throwing things and Gin is fast and would be able to evade and control damage, plus she seems a responsible girl and the kids need supervision!!!

- Gin would get along with Atsushi too. Whoever makes his brother happy becomes her number 1 favorite person. I can see them just doing little mundane things like going shopping with Kyouka. (this makes me happy somehow ^v^)

Now let’s go with mafia! days and some souoku. I believe that if Dazai didn’t leave the mafia, he would deteriorate really fast, being much more cruel and manipulative *spoiler ahead!! Sanosuke’s death and last words would have left him bitter and cynic.

- I can think of a proper trigger for Akutagawa leaving the mafia, but the reasons would be that while he stills wants Dazai to acknowledge him he wants to do it by his own methods and strength. He wants to be and equal to him and he can’t do it while being his underling. He wants to prove his so far gone mentor that anybody could be in the light if they want. (too OOC? But I think I’m going In the right track for Akutagawa in this AU)

- Now him with Chuuya. Dazai strike me as a really mentally troubled person, hiding everything under fake cheerfulness and smiles, and mafia! Dazai is a much more fucked up version of our Dazai. His relationship with Chuuya is the only thing keeping him minimally stable. It’s the only steady and real relationship he has in the mafia (aside from Sanosuke and we know that didn’t end well).

- When hes has a bad day he would just snatch Chuuya away from whatever he is doing and make him pay attention only to him (and other things if you know what I mean TVT)

- Just imagine Dazai entering in a reunion, picking a blushing, angry, small Chuuya over his shoulder in front of the mafia rookies and leaving for his room (they all know what it’s going to happen)

- Chuuya is actually worried about Dazai. He can feel his partner growing distant and falling into a very deep dark state. While he is content with their intimate relationship, he feels Dazai is just using him (You are in love Chuuya but you won’t admit it, stupid tsundere)

- I find the idea of Dazai hunting Atsushi really terrifying. While we know that Dazai is always some steps ahead of everyone I think that Akuatagawa’s betrayal would have been a real surprise and a a blow to his pride. I really think mafia! Dazai to be really sadistic so he will try to destroy Atsushi to get to Akutagawa. To destroy his little project to make him understand how wrong and weak he is (my dazatsu shipper heart is yelling at me TTATT)

Be sure there’s gonna be more in the near future, but for now I only have this!!!

I was working on my Japanese Homework when I had a revelation about Law at the end of Dressrosa as well as about Corazon’s “I love you” and figured I might as well share:  When Bellemere died, she looked to Nami and Nojiko and said “I love you” And used the Japanese word “Daisuki (大好き)” When Corazon last looked at Law he said “I love you” but used “Aishiteruze(愛してるぜ).” Suki (好き), in Japanese, means “To like.” Making it Daisuki turns it into “really like” “am very fond of” or “I love you” depending on the context. It’s the most common form that the phrase “I love you” takes the shape of and is often the only form used between people. Aishiteru (愛してる), on the other hand, is a very heavy, strong, and rarely used word in Japanese. Many Japanese people go their whole lives without ever using it because in Japanese culture, verbally expressing Love is something they are hesitant to express openly (preferring to show love instead) and especially of the Aishiteru kind. To use Aishiteru is to, in effect, tell someone that “I love you so much that I can’t imagine my life without you in it.” It’s never something that you use casually (if you ever use it at all). The “ze” attached to the end of Aishiteru just makes it a more casual and “cool” or “manly” way of saying it. So when Cora-san looks at Law and says “Aishiteruze” he is, in effect, saying: “I love you and I literally can’t imagine you not being a part of my life anymore, and I am saying this in the most casual and manly way possible, okay?” That was the strength of Corazon’s love for Law. But Law didn’t know that at the time. He was young and had probably never once heard the word being used before and probably thought Cora-san was just being a dork. He wouldn’t really understand it until his talk with Sengoku among the rubble of Dressrosa. Sengoku had told him to stop sullying Rosinate’s love with imagined requirements and conditions and then Law remembered. With wide eyes, he remembered Corazon’s exact words to him: “Oi, Law. Aishiteruze.” I love you, and it finally hit him. He finally realized and understood just how strong and unconditional Corazon’s love for him had been and that he hadn’t had to do anything to validate it. Corazon loved him for him and not for what he was. And finally, finally, Law found the resolution he had been searching for. The relief that Doflamingo’s defeat hadn’t given him. The freedom from his past that he so desired… and it brought him to the brink of tears. (let’s admit he would have cried if Fujitora hadn’t ruined the moment) (All I wanted to do was write that I love cats, not punch myself in the face with feels about Law’s flashback again. Excuse me while I cry in the corner.) (It’s a shame these things don’t translate well into english)
