I Think That Liam Has An Undeserved Reputation Forchoosing The Tragic Option Or Doing Things Just For
I think that Liam has an undeserved reputation for ‘choosing the tragic option’ or doing things just for the angst. Or ‘not letting his characters be happy’. This is very unfair and I feel so sad to read these opinions. When I think of what he said about Vax ‘I desperately wanted Vax to have a happy ending’. The choice of ‘It’s Alright’ as a message to Caleb in his second playlist. I think more than tragedy what he wants is for each character to find the path to peace that is most honest for them. No magical cure. A footpath that they build, with their hands and that of others. Sometimes stumbling, sometimes falling backwards, but always a path that is theirs. I think he can be trusted to allow Caleb to build that path.
