This is such a good point I never realized, but for my first time playing I was dumb cuz I knew nothing but now I know a lot since I've played for a while now, this is such a great idea 😍
Unpopular Opinion: Ratha shouldn’t have gained the ability to fly
Hear me out:
Story-wise, Ratha is YOUR Monstie, your baby, the little ceature that you’d risk your life for. But Gameplay-wise? He doesn’t exactly bring much to the table, and aside from fancy wings and a slight variation in his kinship-animation, there’s nothing he can do that a normal Rathalos can’t do as well.
I don’t know about you, but for a Monstie that I was stuck with for 90% of the game, I cared surprisingly little for Ratha. The only battle that I was stubborn enough to ONLY use him was the final Oltura-battle, and even then I didn’t care all that much for the final cutscene.
Tbh, as soon as I finished the main campaign and could swap Ratha out of my team, I replaced him with an Azure Rathalos that I named Dash, and this absolute King stayed on my team until I reset the file.
Ratha just… doesn’t feel important, especially after the final battle where you can find Rathalos-eggs everywhere.
Personally, I feel like Ratha should have been the ONLY normal Rathalos obtainable in the game. And in addition to that, I think that he shouldn’t have learned to fly.
Why?
Story-wise, Oltura is the Monster with the Wings of Ruin. And Ratha’s Razewings? Well. Why exactly his wings are crippled when he hatches from the egg isn’t really explained. Personally, I would have LOVED for Ratha to keep his spooky Razewings and just be a ground-based Rathalos.
And in the cutscene where he gains his wings… what if his flight to save the MC would have looked like his chase after the Rage-Rayed Legiana, where he got all grey and his wings glowed in this creepy, purple light?
Just… imagine. MC gets thrown overboard, Ratha’s powers awaken for a short moment and his wing-membranes open just like in the Legiana-Cutscene and he flies after the MC, all while looking like he came straight out of Satan’s basement.
And instead of him, MC, Ena and Navirous flying off into sunset on Ratha’s newly awakened wings, he plunges down onto the ground after having caught the MC, his wing-membranes close up and he keeps his crippled wings. Because… he doesn’t have the Wings of Ruin.
It would have played nicely into this “Ratha’s power can be used for good”-talk: Ratha uses his ‘dangerous’ powers to save his Rider, without changing his appearance to look like a normal, “good” Rathalos.
(idk how the cutscene would have played out then, with Ratha not being able to escape the Hunters by flight, but idk… maybe his kinship-attack would have gotten stronger and he just shoots the ship out of the air with a big-ass fireball-)
Just…. I think that Razewing Ratha has TONS of wasted potential. I don’t think anyone plays the endgame with him on their team, just because he doesn’t bring anything unique to the table that no other Rathalos can also do.
On my first playthrough, I honestly hoped that Ratha would stay flightless, just because it would fit the whole “Wings of Ruin”-Narrative and throw in some confusion. Like-
“One beat of his wings could bring ruin to the world.”
“Okay, but… how can Ratha beat his wings if he can’t fly.”
“….well-”
And the Oltura rolls up with its six wings and the MC and Ratha just stare at everyone that gave them shit and are like “AH YES, RATHA HAS THE WINGS OF RUIN, NOT THIS MOTH-LOOKING-MOTHERFUCKER!”
(how the Riding-ability to fly would have been unlocked if Ratha couldn’t fly,,,, uuhhhhhh…. idk. Cheval, Avinia and Alwin all have Monsties that can fly, maybe there could have been a scene where Monsties and Riders get seperated and are forced to work together with the other person’s Monstie, so that MC then can fly around on Rathi, Shulk or Frostfang to search for their partners from above. Idk, just give me Razewing-Ratha back, his wings were cool)
Yes. 😍😍😍
Bumblebee Garchomp

Still a better shiny than the one we got. I used to have a couple other versions of Garchomp but they seem to have gone missing and I have no idea where they went.
This was made as a request from the original blog where I was posting these, but since I've deleted the blog, I have no idea who requested it.
Danny Phantom prompt!!
Okay, so, I feel like if Danny's first encounter with nocturne wasn't bad and Danny just encounter him when he got lost in the ghost zone after chasing a ghost through it that Danny would have loved nocturne.
THINK ABOUT IT!! Nocturne looks like space and in my head (and in fanfictions) I love it when Danny has a protection obsession and a space obsession so when he sees nocturne he's overjoyed and is just gushing over this ghost who looks like space!
And even better if nocturne is just like, "who's child is this? YOUR PARENTS ARE GHOST HUNTERS THAT WANT TO LITERALLY DISSECT YOU??!!!!! uh-huh not on my watch you are now my child."
Then there's Danny who just goes along with it because he's sick of hearing his parents rant about their hatred of Phantom and this space ghost is really nice to him and even put stars into the black parts of his suit!!
I'm begging for someone to write this!!!!!!
😭 it's so sweet omg!!! I'm gonna cry!! 🥺
Beginnings
Soulmate AU where you see visions of the life you might live with your soulmate when they first touch you.
Phantom didn’t see the danger.
Captivated by the newborn human baby he had been handed, he played with the tiny hand wrapped tightly around his index finger. The mother explained the story of her son’s birth as Phantom smiled down at him. Last week, Phantom had caught the wall that would have landed on her and her unborn child mere hours before she went into labor. Phantom had saved her and given the baby human he held in his arms a chance to breathe for the first time, and she wanted him to know. She had called him down from the skies to tell him. She called him a hero, and for once, as he held that small life she trusted him—a ghost—to hold, he actually felt like one.
The other humans sitting outside the coffee shop’s veranda listened as well. Some hid their smiles behind their cups, but Phantom didn’t need to see their expressions to know how they felt. An atmosphere of gratitude, fondness, happiness surrounded him, emanating from the humans as if they were welcoming him to stay. He tried to fight them back, but tears gathered in his eyes. The mother, the woman he had saved purely out of instinct, touched his arm.
It was that feeling of safety and acceptance that lulled him into dropping his guard. He never would have done such a thing in the Ghost Zone.
He had just handed the baby back to the mother when he heard the shouting, the cries of alarm, the blaring horns, and the screech of tires.
A voice shouted, “Get down!”
Phantom spun to see what was happening. It only took a glance to recognize Danny Fenton, the youngest child of the local ghost hunters, the one who had opened the portal to the Ghost Zone. It took longer to understand what the bright green flash behind Fenton meant.
Danger. An attack.
Phantom widened his eyes. Caught his breath.
And then Danny’s body collided into his. Arms looped around his neck and heat slid into his core. Danny’s momentum pitched Phantom backward. They fell together as the humans around them screamed. The sound became muffled and then silent. Phantom’s vision dimmed as if he was passing out, falling unconscious.

“Do you see Jupiter?” Danny’s voice asked, excitement lifting it higher. “The clouds? The shadows?”
Phantom managed only a weak sound in confirmation. His left eye was closed, but his right eye saw into deep space and witnessed the fifth planet, the one humans had nicknamed The Red Giant through Danny’s telescope. There were layers of clouds swirling slowly around Jupiter’s atmosphere, greater than any ectoplasmic cloud. He had never seen anything like it. The Ghost Zone had many wonders, but nothing like this.
