I was rewatching the Sick Hack episode of Bocchi the Rock and then just kept on going to the end of the series. I thought i was just procrastinating but i think i was trying to supplement live music for myself. Like i spent the whole day listening to 88kasyo junrei (jap psychedelic rock band that inspired Sick Hack) and then i was just in awe of the bottle scene in the last episode all over again. And trying to get that rock n roll feeling in me.

And then a friend of mine posted on her story that she was at a show about 5 minutes away from me and I replied. And then she was like, "the last set is about to come on."

I got that message at 11:29. I was inside the venue at 11:40 watching this awesome band set up. And then we moshed, and i met a ton of cool people including a musician from another band that plays at that venue frequently. She said, "Buildings are like organisms." They're living and breathing things and they grow and change over time. This one just happened to get a ton of musicians in it like a welcome infestation.

All the music-people in my area talk about the slow and steady revival of our local music scene. It used to thrive but then all the clubs and venues gradually went away and we were left with nothing. But here i was, 5 minutes away from my house, moshing with a friend of mine. Not 20 minutes after finishing bocchi the rock and wishing to have that kind of experience with my friends.

Basically i manifested that shit today 👍👍
