Thanks for the tag! I love thinking about what tropes apply to my ships, it’s super fun hehe…Anyway, here we go with my ship dynamics!

1.) Two black cats. Everyone’s heard of the black cat and golden retriever dynamic by now, but a certain ship of mine involves two black cats…

2.) Rescue romance. Ok, it isn’t a case of instalove, like in a lot of examples of this trope, but it does get the ball rolling

3.) Friends to lovers. This applies for both of my ships

4.) Bonding over trauma. Again, this applies for both of my ships

5.) Whatever the fuck Ladybug and Chat Noir have going on. They’re in love and don’t know it because they don’t know each other’s true identities

Rules: post five overly specific ship dynamics for characters in your story

I like this spin, because the last time I did this was almost like a vague guessing. Now that more of you know my OCs you’ll probably be able to figure out the ships pretty quickly 😂

1. An abductor takes an abductee on a forced adventure. This happens with THREE of my ships ⛵️⛵️⛵️. One on the high seas, one in high fantasy, and one in the high vacuums of space.

2. “And they were roommates”—ships where the main cast, in some capacity, live together in a somewhat normal slice-of-life setting. This happens with 2 (eventually 3) of my ships ⛵️⛵️⛵️

3. An overprotective OC nearly martyrs themself for their love interest. This happens with ALL SIX of my known ships ⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️

4. Someone close to either of the main OCs dies within the story itself. This happens with 4 of my ships ⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️

5. Enemies to Lovers. Pairs where the main love interests start with actively hindering and hating each other before developing a relationship. This happens with 3 of my ships, 4 if you count Rivals-to-Lovers ⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️

Okay motherfuckers I have a new ship category idea (at least I’m pretty sure it doesn’t already exist?)

We all know the black cat/golden retriever dynamic (ex starchaser)

The “Golden Retriever” character is a happy, optimistic, loving character, who wears their heart on their sleeve and reads like an open book

And the “Black Cat” character is sly and calculated, the character that hides their emotions in layers of deception, but does so in a way that others can’t see

BUT I think there should be a third type of character, the German Shepherd

The “German Shepherd” character is guarded as well, except in the opposite way. They make it clear that their feelings and emotions are not available for public viewing, they are blunt with their aggression, and harsh with their fences

The three would be interchangeable, each having a unique dynamic

Golden Retriever/German Shepherd is for ships like Wolfstar or Rosekiller with a blunt, angry, emotionaly hurt character and a more bright, vibrant character (who is sometimes equally hurt, but shows it in different ways)

Black Cat/German Shepherd is for ships like Bartylus where they are both closed off a protective, but one tries to hide it while the other does not

So yeah add a third option to the possibilities

Thanks for the tag! This is quite a unique one, but I like it! Anyway, here we go!

Kunio: It would take a lot to convince him to even go. He’s kind of a goth stereotype in that he hates the sun, and he’s pretty pale, so he gets sunburned really easily. He’ll probably attempt to build a sandcastle, and then check out the best ice cream shop in the area

Nathaniel: He’d likely spend most of the episode reading under a parasol, or in an ice cream shop with Kunio. He can’t swim, and he refuses to touch the sand because he doesn’t wanna track any of it into his car on the way home

Ariel: She’s a very good swimmer, so she’ll likely be spending a lot of time in the water, and maybe collecting shells to use as inspiration for something in her next game. She spent a lot of her summers on the beaches of Lesbos as a kid, and though she’s not fond of the heat, she knows how to have a good time on the beach

Solana: She’ll absolutely spend the episode tanning. She wears a lot of fake tan, but if you take her to the beach, she’ll hose it all off for the chance to get a real tan

It's gonna take a long, long time but I just realized with horror and glee that I will eventually have the opportunity to write a 'beach episode' in my WIP 🌐7 Circles🌐 😂

Kazimier 💋

Can't swim, never learned. Hates the sand. Doesn't like bright sun. Would spend her time under an umbrella drinking and judging people. Would shapeshift into a feminine body for the sole purpose of wearing a racy sexy swimsuit.

Klaus 🌻

He grew up in a desert and has probably never seen the ocean. His fae side would take over and he would be playing in the water, watching sea critters with wonder, and having (literal) magic moments with local plants while soaking up the sun.

Valian 🐁

He can doggy paddle, his thin little tail acting as a clumsy rudder. He can eat a surprising amount of watermelon and happily monches on slices- seeds, rind, and all- while watching the waves. Might pick a fight with a crab (he'd win though).

Seeker 🌠

Can swim, but struggles with cold seawater. Seeker spends time with each of the three others; laying out towels to lounge with Kaz, squealing as seaweed moves like snakes to Klaus' magic, and slicing watermelon to hand to Val. I think Seeker would be into building sandcastles and the other three would help in one way or another.

Dinner. It’s the one time of day that I have time to cook a proper meal, and Nathaniel has time to sit down and eat it with me.

2.) What drives you to succeed?

Spite. I could go on a long tangent about my love of art and how I want Granddad to look down at me and be proud, which I’m not gonna lie, is partly what drives me, but mostly I’m driven by the desire to spite my mum. I’m going to be happy and successful, and live out my life with my husband, meanwhile that bitch is going to die of alcohol poisoning alone in her shitty apartment. And before any of you say, ‘How can you say that about your mum? You monster!’ She’s the reason why I have C-PTSD. She’s also the reason why I only have one functioning eye.

With money, or with my life? Can it be both? Because I’ve done both.
