One of my most vivid memories is a moment from my childhood when I was sick and my dad stayed with me and we played chess all day.

Sometimes I really miss him.

It seems to me that giving a bad grade for a broken egg in elementary school is not very reasonable. For example, we had stickers instead of grades until grade 3 or 2. I think it would be easier for the child to deal with the disappointment if they just didn't get a sticker instead of a bad grade. It's just my assumption, it's pretty subjective because I think back to little me. As a kid I was very absent-minded, so I could have left an egg in my bag or whatever, left it at school. I would have been more comfortable not getting a sticker than getting a bad grade that my parents would scold me for.

Totally agree about the ideas, sometimes I think I need more family content with these birds, even if they are literally raising an egg. A thought occurred to me: what if they were raising a parrot egg together? Edward would then hand-feed the chick and Oswald would worry about the "nest" for the baby 🥺
