It’s been a year since the finest album debut happened.

JD, it’s officially FACE Anniversary in Korea. And I am here to say that I am so immensely proud of Jimin and his debut album. What a vulnerable, beautiful, phenomenal piece of expression that was. I am so grateful he considered us worthy to tell us his stories - the good bad and the ugly.

I am so glad he got to do the album he wanted to. Where he got to write, compose, produce. Because I have trained in music and dance for over a decade and if I ever pursue this professionally I would be enthralled if I can produce a cohesive album which captures my journey, my stories, and my emotions. The billboard no 1, and everything else is just brownie points. Despite the sabotages, negativity or whatever else, Jimin did the impossible. And that’s why today random cafés, journalists and magazines are celebrating him. So my Jiminettes, tight tight hugs to you all and congrats, we stan a once in a lifetime artist.

I will always, always, always applaud him for the direction he took. When I think about how he chose FACE, in all the loneliness and sadness and anger and the human, to be his first step into the world as a soloist, I am so…relieved? All I wanted was to see him choose his artistry and his own path and that’s exactly what he showed me from the very first hint, aka SMF pt.2.

It really embodies one of the things I cherish about Jimin deeply. From telling his father that he’ll succeed elsewhere even if he doesn’t make it here, to being so deeply nervous about his debut but still going for an extremely personal, diary-esque debut album instead of what everyone expected of him — he doesn’t shy away from two things in his life; ambition and realness.

I have always talked about how I do care about commercial success and how I absolutely want it for Jimin and I do believe he cares about it as well. But it’s as you said, the rest is all brownie points. I would never want it without something that isn’t Jimin at its core. It’s why LC/FACE’s achievements feel so special to me. Especially SMF pt.2. I just loved seeing his reaction to it’s success, he was so caught off guard and it was so lovely to witness that because the song is a true embodiment of Jimin’s artistic authenticity and to be rewarded that must’ve meant a lot.

Something is wrong, I have not been getting notifications on new posts from this account only. I'm signed up to get notifications, so not sure why it is happening. Anybody else having this problem? Perhaps a setting on the account? I manually search to be sure I don't miss anything, but getting the notifications would be nice😉

Hello- thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. We’ve looked into it and appears we’ve been shadow banned, likely because someone or someone(s) have been reporting this blog. Perhaps they don’t enjoy reading about Jimin’s accomplishments but we know many people do!
