I Havent Watched Requiem Of The Rose King But I Have Have Read Shakespeares Richard III - Are People

I haven’t watched Requiem of the Rose King but I have have read Shakespeares Richard III - are people in the fandom generally aware Richard (Duke of Gloucester/III), Edward (VII?) and George (Duke of Clarence), are all brothers? Is this just accepted? Or is it changed in the anime? Does Anne Neville (Richard’s wife) exist? Does he kill literally everyone like in the play??? Every new thing I learn about this makes me more confused

Prince Edward aimed to become the King in hope that his dream would come true and tell his feelings to Richard. Before, he cursed both George and Edward of York for bearing the filthy rebel blood.

But when he was near death, he truly wanted to be loved by Richard and also die by his hand. He admitted that he never wanted to be the King and wanted to be always by Richard's side.

Happy barricade day to George Blagden’s “?” and George Blagden’s “?” only.

I know it’s not historically accurate but it’s a banger of a play ngl!!!! Like it slaps!!!! I’m a big Richard III fan ngl - every line is just so catchy 💕💕💕😔✌️and the characters! Not accurate but vvvv fun.

I feel really terrible for saying this, because Alice will murderise me and I don’t believe the real Richard III was evil, but I really like some of the lines in the play Richard III.

I mean look:

Now is the winter of our discontent

Made glorious summer by this sun of York

DO YOU SEE WHAT THEY DID THERE?

You all know how much I love puns.

Also this:

And therefore, since I cannot prove a lover,

To entertain these fair well-spoken days,

I am determined to prove a villain,

And hate the idle pleasures of these days

I just love the way that sounds, and the way it’s just like WELL FUCK YOU GUYS THEN, IMMA BE EVUL~

AND

The phrase ‘bottled spider’ is a really good way to describe someone creepy. It’s funny, but at the same time it’s skittery and demented.

It’s just a shame it wasn’t used to describe someone else, really.

I was thinking this morning and I realized that I have never combined my two favorite things in the world to talk about, Deep Space 9 and William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Imagine the potential! Matchmaking Jadzia! Pining Garak/Bashir! Misunderstandings!

This morning I had a 15 min obsession with the idea of a Garashir fic in which the characters put on a production of Much Ado About Nothing and Garak designs the costumes, as Garak bitches about the stupid Shakespeareian story line and the fussy 'actors', Garak and Julian are tricked into admitting their love in a reflection of the story of Much Ado.... they don't realise the parallel until the end of the story (opening night) ....
