Hey, Here Are Some Maybe Not So Popular Fictional Podcasts Y'all Should Look Into
Hey, here are some maybe not so popular fictional podcasts y'all should look into
Heroics - Just came out this year. It's the same guy who did EOS 10 and has a few of the same voice actors. It's a superhero comedy and really that about it but it is very funny.
Brimstone Valley Mall - started late last year and is also super new. Demons working in a mall who are also in a band. It's hilarious. And also the 90's.
Dreamboy - first off, this is a pretty hardcore 18+ podcast. Listen guys, all podcasts are horny. I'm pretty sure it's a requirement. This podcast has explicit sex. That's new. Anyway, it's trippy and weird and has gorgeous narration. Think Glass Animals in podcast form.
Caravan - also 18+, (and total shade when I say...) at least this one gives you a warning. Dude falls into a canyon that is actually the entrance to Hell. It's very good, but even if you don't like it you should stay for the accents. I would let Dakota's voice do things to me.
Time Bombs - it's only 3 episode long and you can knock it out in an hour. The folks from Wolf 359 did challenge and created this thing which I love very, very much. It's about a bomb disposal team on New year's Eve in New York. This time Noah Masur's character is doing the exact opposite of blowing shit up.

IF I AM NOT GIVEN AGENT OF ASGARD OR GODESS OF STORIES MOON QUEEN LOKI NEXT EPISODE THEN I WILL GENUINELY CRY THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK
you ever catch a glimpse of a cloud passing in front of a full moon and you’re suddenly a highwayman in an 18th century ghost story who just left a tavern on a chilly october night to ride horseback through the woods till you reach the next town over
Just saving these for my Michael Sheen binge watch- where I’m going through films and tv shows Michael Sheen has been in and rating them all in multiple categories and compiling it into a PowerPoint at some point, I’ll get back to you on that one- 😌
Michael Sheen’s queer characters
Gallowglass (1993) - Joe who has an unhealthy obsessive relationship with his savior

Wilde (1997) - Robbie Ross, Oscar Wilde’s lover

Bright Young Things (2003) - Miles Maitland, a perfect example of a gay man in the 30s

Kenneth Williams: Fantabulosa! (2006) - Kenneth Williams, a real person and a comedy actor with “barely consummated homosexual dalliances”

Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of an Empire (2006) - emperor Nero, this is ancient Rome and that says it all

7 Days in Hell (2015) - Caspian Wint, a talk show host who thirsted a young tennis player

Nocturnal Animals (2016) - Carlos, a gay man who married a woman

Good Omens (2019) - Aziraphale, an angel who is (mutually) in love with the demon Crowley

P.S. I’m also not quite sure about Castor from Tron: Legacy (2010), but he was a computer program, so… who knows.
All these gifs were created by me, please don’t steal/repost them.
I feel like I need to tell everyone how brilliantly the Globe incorporated a deaf Gildenstern into the 2018 Hamlet and then force all of you to watch it
ok, so Gildenstern is played by a deaf actor, Nadia Nadarajah. he* signs all his lines, and either Rosencratz interprets for him, or the person he’s talking to says something that makes it obvious what he just said, depending. how each character reacts to Gildenstern is completely in-character and often hilarious
Claudius and Gertrude are intensely awkward around Gildenstern. they obviously don’t know BSL so they just gesture emphatically but aimlessly when they talk.
Hamlet, who of course is friends with R&G, *does* know BSL. he starts off by signing fluently whenever he’s talking to them but, as his distrust of them grows, he signs less and less until he’s only signing the equivalent of “fuck off” whenever he talks
Polonius just shouts really loud whenever he tries to talk to Gildenstern
it’s all brilliant and adds another layer of humor and pathos and you should all watch it
*casting at the Globe right now is gender neutral so I’m just going to use the character’s pronouns
i can accept fjor being evil but i draw the line at capitalist
