it's funny because over the years, i keep struggling with the level of rendering i want in my art style. i go through phases where i barely render on top of the lineart, then suddenly decide i need to render the shit out of em and almost completely cover the lineart, then a moment of realisation when i go "huh. i don't like overrendering, it takes too long and i don't like how it looks". then we're back in square 1. which is where i'm right now also, if anyone was wondering.

though i think this might be the last time, bc i've finally come to the realisation (through myself and also others) that i love doing lineart, and i like my art more (and also i think it objectively looks better) when it is visible and not obscured by the detail in coloring. instead, i only prefer not doing lineart for more "experimental" pieces, like drawings of my horror characters etc.

but we'll see.

I feel like My art has been very stiff lately. Might be beacuse I've been trying to get "consistent" with my artstyle that leading to me drawing characters just standing around or plain headshots. Even now, this doesnt feel like my own artstyle, I'll try to be more free handed and experiment with shapes and lines
