DO NOT CALL YOURSELF TRANSGENDER UNLESS YOU ARE A BINARY TRANSWOMAN. YOU ARE A FEMBOY PRETENDING TO BELONG IN OUR COMMUNITY

I hate people like you so much

Being trans is a subversion of what gender is expected of you by cisnormative society.

That's it.

Gender is made up. This shit is made up. 'Men' and 'Women' are arbitrary categories we literally just made up. It's a social construct.

I feel like a lot of y'all don't actually believe gender is a social construct.

I don't mind being a girl but sometimes I look at other girls and I think about how we are not the same gender

thinking about all the “small” art that’s ever existed. songs that were only ever sung in one village. stories written by children that got lost in the shuffle. personal paintings that didn’t survive the test of time. how they affected the lives of just a few, but still existed, still mattered to someone.

appalachia is devastated. towns i loved, towns i visited all the time, are gone. not damaged, GONE. they are leveled to the ground. there is nothing left but rubble and ruin. people are dead. appalachia is poor to begin with and relies on tourism for a lot of its income, and multiple of those tourist locations are just...gone.

my town is okay, but it's flooded and wrecked. trees are blocking all but one way out of our neighborhood. power lines are hanging limp in the roads. we've been without power for over 24 hours and will continue to be without power for likely another 24+. disabled people and poor people are GOING to die from this. gods save appalachia.

Why you can’t use stud if you white: A TED Talk

Differences in black masculinity and white masculinity. So like in ye olden days, lots of butches presented as men because it was safer for them to pass, yet that wasn’t really true for studs who were targeted regardless of gender, because racism. Homophobia and shit has always been so rampant within the black community because of respectability politics. Being Queer was seen as white. Black people, but more specifically black women, really didn’t get rights at the same rate as whites. Any sort of deviance was punished even more aggressively.

Studs deal with over sexualization, except with added fetishization. We are seen as naturally more aggressive than our white counterparts, because black masculinity is seen as more aggressive, even in queer spaces. One of the other terms for Studs is AG, which stands for Aggressive, a reclamation of what we have always been called, now used for confidence .

I’ve linked a good doc to the stud experience.

Comparing the privilege of marginalized men vs similarly marginalized women doesn't work the same for trans people as it does for cis people. Cis men and cis women who are marginalized in the same way will both suffer from their shared oppression(s), but cis women will be suffer from that shared oppression and misogyny, while cis men largely won't be (at least not as systemic targets of misogyny), giving them relative privilege over the aforementioned cis women.

But trans men and trans women are both targets of systemic misogyny. The claim that trans men and trans women both suffer from transphobia, but only trans women suffer from transphobia and misogyny, would be false. Similarly, it would be false to claim that only trans men suffer from both transphobia and misogyny, while trans women suffer from transphobia but not misogyny.

Trans men suffer from transphobia and misogyny, and trans women suffer from transphobia and misogyny, and neither group of trans people has the relative privilege of not being systemic targets of misogyny.

It's really telling to me when a perisex trans person grips onto 'TME/TMA' for dear life. Just say you don't care about intersex people in the least, and downright hate us at the most. Your thinly veiled attempts at being most oppressed in the oppression olympics aren't cute and harm those of us who are erased and/or harmed by this god awful millionth binary you fuckers created.

Every time I think about what the New York Times did to Susan Doku, I get a bit enraged inside

A version of Hatsune Miku with tanned skin and gradient black-and-teal hair, adorned with braids, gilded gold accessories and large pinstriped hair bows.

Her dress is a modified two-piece Filipiniana/Maria Clara dress with a black collar; as well as sheer overskirt, bolero and sleeves, all lined at the edges with LED displays.

Filipiniana Miku!
