"Y/N, breakfast is ready," vernon calls out, but there's no response from you. He waits a moment, listening for any sign that you heard him, but the house remains silent. He wonders if you're still asleep or perhaps didn't hear him.

After that, he made his way upstairs and walked over to your room.

He raps his knuckles lightly on the door and calls out, "Y/N, are you still asleep in there?"

Y/N groggily replied, "I don't want to wake up, it's too early." Vernon had to resist the urge to laugh at your sleepy state.

Vernon said calmly, "It's already 11:37." Y/N's eyes widen in shock, processing the late hour.

Y/N exclaims, "What?! I have to make breakfast now! Why didn't you wake me up earlier? Hmmph!"

vernon begins to say, "I tried to wake you up earlier, but-" but is interrupted by Y/N cutting him off before he can finish.

Y/N protests, "Wait, I want to get ready."vernon chuckles to himself, finding it endearing how Y/N wants to prepare. He takes a seat on the sofa outside Y/N's door and waits patiently.

A few minutes later...Y/N calls out, "vernonn !!! I'm done now!"vernon responds, "Alright, let's head downstairs then."

Y/N dashes straight to the kitchen without waiting for vernon, despite the fact that he had already prepared breakfast.

Suddenly, Y/N exclaims, "Wooooow!!! Vernon!" Vernon is startled by Y/N's voice, and he immediately rushes to the kitchen to see what's happening.

Y/N asks with a pout, "vernonnn~, when are you going to make this again? Why don't you tell me to do it instead?~"vernon just grins, feeling happy seeing Y/N's reaction.

With a smile, Y/N says, "Thank you, sweetie~!"She blows a playful flying kiss towards vernon.vernon can't help but find Y/N adorable and laughs heartily in response.

You were startled to hear a voice reciting the final line of the poem in perfect time with your own mental reading, creating an electrifying feeling that was shocking you, and in sync, a pair of hands closed your eyes, mimicking the actions of the last sentence of the poem, causing your heart to skip a beat. 

As you tend to turn around, the hands slowly withdrew, revealing the face of a man who appeared almost otherworldly, as if he had walked straight out of a novel or fantasy.

His dark, wavy hair framed his face, which was graced with precision, accentuating his beauty. The sight before you was mesmerizing, and you found yourself utterly transfixed, unable to look away. As you struggled to find your voice, the guy in question smiled softly, his expression one of amusement at your bewildered reaction.

It was none other than,

"Park sunghoon."

You managed to utter his name as your gaze fixed on the ethereal sight before you. Bringing you back to reality, a soft chuckle escaped his lips as his eyes darted over your face, taking in your beet-red cheeks, adding to the overall adorableness of the situation.

Your cheeks flamed with embarrassment as you spun around, clutching the letter tightly in your hand, trying to hide your obvious blush.  Sunghoon took a seat beside you, his gaze fixed on your flustered face. 

"y/n, pfft," he muttered, his laughter just barely contained as he caught sight of your embarrassment. "W-why are you laughing?" you exclaimed, half-shouting in annoyance as you lightly hit his head. 

"What do you mean, why am I laughing?" he responded, his hand moving to the spot where you had hit him, still feeling the sting from the impact.

"What's this thing anyway?" He asked, his eyes now fixed on the letter, still clutched tightly in your grasp. Before you could react, he snatched it away, a cheeky smile plastered across his face. He squinted his eyes, pretending to carefully examine the letter. "A secret admirer, huh?" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows at you. 

"I think it's stupid," he chuckled. His words stung, and hearing him say that only fueled your anger, which was building quickly. Before you could lash out, you snatched the letter back from him and took a few moments to calm yourself. "It's not stupid," you muttered softly.

This was actually the ninth time you had received this type of letter from someone they called your "secret admirer." At first, you thought it was just a prank or a joke and didn't pay much attention to it. However, you continued to receive these sweet letters, filled with beautiful poems, and the more you received them, the more you began to look forward to them. 

You even started to feel some excitement whenever you'd go to school and open your locker, eagerly anticipating the next letter from your secret admirer. You would happily place them in your bag, then read them again once you got home, lovingly placing each one in a special box. 

You didn't know why you were so drawn to these letters, but there was something about them that made you feel precious and safe each time you received one.

He waved his hand in front of your face, trying to snap you back to reality. "Hey, earth to y/n!" he exclaimed, his tone laced with mockery. "What did you say earlier?" he continued, even though he had clearly heard you.

Your temper flared at his behavior as you shut your eyes closed in frustration. You quickly turned to face him, closing the distance between you two by bringing your face just inches away from his. Your eyes locked, creating an intense moment between the two of you.

Your voice carried a hint of determination as you firmly stated, "Park sunghoon." You felt a sense of conviction as you looked into his eyes. 

"He's. not. stupid!" you insisted.

His eyes widened in surprise at the rare side of you, but almost immediately, his features transformed as he wore a cocky smirk that seemed both annoying and actually a bit attractive.

"Is that so?" he murmured, leaning toward you, his gaze fixed on your lips. 

"baby?" He smirks, his voice lowered as his eyes fixate on your plump lips, licking his own bottom lip in smooth synchrony. The sudden sight before you only made your face turn even redder, and you felt your face heating up. 

You suddenly stood up, jolting your chair back and creating a jarring scraping sound that echoed through the formerly peaceful library, making every head within earshot immediately snapped in your direction, hushing you with a collective "Shh!" as they bring their fingers to their mouths, gesturing the universal sign for quiet.

He apologized on your behalf, addressing the others with a soothing voice. "She's just tired; please don't mind her," he explained as he held your hand. He then quickly pulled your chair back to its rightful place and turned his attention back to you.

"Hey, are you okay?" he murmured, his hand sliding soothingly up and down your back as he leaned closer to you, trying to get a glimpse of your lowered face.

He leaned in more closer, showering you with his reassuring words. "Hey, it's okay, Don't worry. I know it's not stupid," he murmured softly. He looked deep into your eyes and continued.

"Not when I see the way your face lights up and smiles every time you read my letters." He emphasized the word 'my', revealing that he was your secret admirer all this time.

You immediately looked up at him as a look of surprise and shock sweeping across your face. Your eyes widened as you stuttered, struggling to find the right words.

"W-what...d-do you..." you repeated, your voice trailing off as you tried to comprehend what he had just said.

But seconds before you could speak any further, he abruptly silenced you by pressing his open palm delicately to your lips as he kissed the back of it, still firmly planted over your lips. 

He held up a book in front of them, its pages open and facing them, acting as a shield. You freeze at the sudden action wanting to push him off and slaps him hard at the face but you just can't bring yourself to, because,

In that brief, magical moment, both of you chose to savor the feeling, ignoring everything else around you.

For one sweet, stolen moment, everything else faded away, and you were the central figure in this captivating scene. You were the main character in this little world you shared.

𝓼ynopsis. spending the fourth of july with your boyfriend at the beach

you walk beside your boyfriend from the parking lot to the beach.

clad in his one of his hoodies due to the breeze and coolness being near the ocean gives off. your hair blowing in the wind slightly at riki grabs your hand.

the soft sand touching your feet as you maneuver through the crowds of families in the sand. sprawled out on mats, picnic blankets, towels, and beach chairs.

“i don’t think we’ll find a spot here,” riki squeezed your hand, “we can watch from the car.”

“no! i have a spot for us,” you dismissed him, “just follow me!”

you drag riki along amongst the crowd for a bit when you finally step feet off the sand and onto a grassier area. he quickly hands you your sandals and slides on his before continuing on your path.

walking uphill until you get to the top of the hill where there’s a couple of beach chairs and benches. the only two people there being you and riki as everyone else opted to watch the show from the sand.

you tug on your boyfriend’s hand a little harder as you climb to sit on the ledge of the stone wall looking down on the ocean and the beach. not to high up but enough to make you feel like you and riki were the only people on earth.

“look,” you tap riki’s shoulder, “they’re staring!”

as the noises register in his brain, he looks up at the sky over the ocean. sparking shots of red, white, blue, and other colors illuminating the sky.

though his vision quickly shifts to the girl next to him. the colors from the fireworks shining against your face that is grinning softly mixed with subtle light from the moonlight.

riki thinks he’s never seen anyone prettier.

your eyes brightening not just from the sky but the pure joy your body emits from sharing such an intimate moment with your boyfriend.

your lips curled into a soft smile as you gaze into the chilly summer night.

riki thinks how could there have ever been a time where he wasn’t in love with you.

in love with you.

riki finally feels that it’s the right time to utter the three words he has spent weeks stuck on.

was it too early in your relationship? did your other partners wait or say it immediately? did you love him back?

“ki, you’re not looking at the fireworks,” you interrupt his whirlwind of thoughts, your head tilted to the side in confusion.

“i love you,” riki returns your stare with an expression full of love.

you take a minute before responding, “i love you too,” flustered face turning to look back at the sky, hoping it masks the growing heat on your cheeks.

he smiles to himself at your cute actions and scoots closer. to when your legs are lightly pressed against the other’s and wraps an arm around your shoulders. bringing you closer to him and guiding your head to rest on his shoulder.

“i love you,” riki repeats again with a proud grin on his face as a fireworks goes off simultaneously.
