Lucifer strives for perfection.

For himself, for his family, and for you, especially since your arrival in the Devildom. You could call it worry, if you want to, a natural concern for a creature so much more vulnerable than any of the angels he'd served or the demons he presides over. You could say he's concerned, for his reputation, at first, and then for a connection more personal than any he'd care to admit. You could tell yourself he cares about you, even if both of you know he'll never say as much out loud.

The might be why he finds it so... disagreeable, when you brush off his attempts to help you. He's never been very patient, but he tries to be, with you, and when that isn't possible, he tries to understand your anger, your frustration, the way you sulk and pout and whine when puts his foot down and refuses to let you get away with behavior you should know better than to ask him to tolerate, by now. You can call it unfair, try to say that he's hurting you, claim that what he wants isn't something you can provide, but you're only human. You're prone to trying to exaggerate, to lying to yourself, to trying to lie to him, just as he's prone to maintaining a firm hand. It's only natural you'd attempt to talk your way out of something so necessary. He'd expected this. He expected this process to be difficut.

He just hadn't expected you to be so stubborn.

Yelling, screaming, putting up such a fight when he's only trying to help you. He can disregard the nasty looks, the awful names, the way you react so poorly to any hint of affection, you have his brothers to thank for that, but he want it more with you, he needs your obedience as well as your adoration. He's willing to work to get it, too, as much as you might not admire his dedication. Even if he has to leave bruises. Even if he has to draw blood. Even if he has to listen to you go on and on about how much you hate him, he'll find a way to live with it. He'll find a way to bear the guilt.

Because he's worried about you. Because he's concerned. Because, even if you might not love him, he loves you.

Because Lucifer strives for perfection, and he'll be damned if something as trivial as your comfort get in his way.

BIG Mood

I'm NOT FRUSTRATED at all. I REALLY am not. Not because I didn't get that LUKE and ASMO UR+! Also not because wasting 50 Demon Vouchers to that DIAVOLO UR+ THAT DIDN'T FREAKING COME HOME!! AND CERTAINLY NOT BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ANY DVS TO PULL FOR THE EGG NIGHTMARE THAT APPEARS EARLIER THAN THE USUAL SCHEDULE!!! (WHICH ALSO HAVE A DIAVOLO SSR WITH OUTFIT?!!)
