Monster Mayhem: Donkeys & Dragons

Monster Mayhem: Donkeys & Dragons

Gender Neutral Reader x Malleus Draconia Word Count: 3.0k

Summary: In which your friends are idiots who think gallivanting around a haunted castle surrounded by lava is a great idea. And then there's a dragon.

ie. Or, I watched Shrek this afternoon and could not stop thinking about the memes of the Prefect being Donkey and Malleus as the Dragon.

Monster Mayhem: Donkeys & Dragons

‘Treasure beyond your wildest dreams!’ Ace said.

‘Knowledge long since lost to time!’ Deuce corrected.

‘Yeah, okay, but what is it,’ you asked.

And neither of them had an answer.

Abandoned castles suspended over a sea of bubbling lava were not your preferred holiday destination. You’d told Ace this several times. You’d begged, pleaded, to please just be normal for once. But noooo. Both the snarky, ginger, bastard and the other half of his singular brain cell had apparently decided that suicide ala boiling rocks sounded like a perfectly lovely plan for your Saturday evening.

“I’m just saying,” you huffed as the rope bridge swung worryingly beneath your feet, “taverns are a thing. Faires. Market runs. Casual side quests that won’t wind up with us being flambeed alive.”

“But there’s treasure!” Ace complained, the muddled light off the lava below illuminating his pout in a way that made it look especially punchable. “I heard there’s this really awesome magical sword! Or maybe it was a shield or something—”

“Or something,” you grit out. “What if it’s a book, huh? You can’t even read.”

“We can try!” Deuce returned, a spark of that familiar determination zipping through his blue eyes.

“Or we can sell it,” Ace said, which was certainly the more likely option of the two.

One of the rickety, wooden, slats cracked beneath the low heel of your boot and tumbled down into the lava below. Maybe it hit the gurgling pool of death with a hiss, or a whump, or some other cool sound. But all you could hear was the ringing in your ears.

“Oh my god. I’m going to die.”

“I mean, maybe,” Ace shrugged. “But at least you’ll have a cool new sword propped up at your grave or something.”

You managed to make it all the way to the other side of the horrible death bridge without plummeting to your doom. Except now you were standing at the foot an equally horrifying castle. It was massive—grand on a scale that seemed entirely impossible for something constructed in the heart of a volcano. Its dozens of ebony spires clawed at the sky. The walls crawled with grey ivy and thickets of thorns so dense that you couldn’t see even the barest hint of brick beneath. It looked evil in the way that cursed tombs felt evil—eternal, and still, and oppressive. Like a creature in its own right rather than just an agglomeration of black stone.

Ace drew his sword and Deuce readied his axe. You sighed and plucked at the strings of your stupid fucking lute, and wished once more that you’d had the foresight all those moons ago to take the cushy internship position Lord Crewel had tried to offer you. But, no. You’d wanted to be an adventurer.

The massive double doors of the entrance swung open with an eerie groan. A pair of stern looking gargoyles stood guard as the three of you cautiously made your way into the castle. You swore you could feel their eyes following you—that you’d seen them flex jagged claws into their stone perches in an aborted attempt to dive after you.

The inside of the looming fortress was no more welcoming than out. Dark, emerald, stained glass windows lined the walls—smothering any of the warmer light from the volcano and tinting the entire hall a sickly green-grey. The stone floors and walls were elaborately carved with the faded stories of dynasties long since passed, but what had once surely been immaculate craftsmanship had shifted and cracked with age—crushing floors into tight slopes and littering already narrow walkways with heavy debris.

“We just have to find the tallest tower,” Ace hummed, swiping at a few dangling trails of thorns with the blunted edge of his blade. “And then the highest room in that.”

“The treasure is never in the highest room in the tallest tower,” you complained. “You just heard that in a drinking song once.”

“Is that true?” Deuce frowned, looking terribly betrayed.

“No way!” Ace snipped. “I told you! An old crone read my fortune in her bone dice, and she said to always check the highest room in the tallest tower! Because that’s where I’d find my greatest treasure!”

“Maybe the greatest treasure is the friends we’ve made along the way?” Deuce suggested helpfully.

“No.”

So you split off from a grouchy Ace and dejected Deuce to try and find some stairs. Every room in this stupid castle was swimming in so many shadows that you could hardly tell right from left, let alone if there were any kinds of secret doors or passageways that may lead to an equally secret tower. The chamber you’d found yourself in now was gigantic, and each tentative step you took echoed discordantly through the ashy gloom. You kicked miserably at a loose rock and it skittered off into the darkness with a dull thunk. And then something… odd, began to happen. That darkness began to move—to rise and unfurl like a great set of wings on a beast. And—oh. Oh no.

“Would you look at that,” Ace whistled under his breath, neck craned all the way back as he squinted at what was most definitely the tallest of all the towers this creepy castle had to offer. “Guess what, nonbelievers. I found the—”

“DRAGON!”

Whoosh went the great swathe of emerald fire as it exploded down the barren hallway and nipped at your heels. You dove out into the open courtyard just in time to avoid being roasted alive, and the gargantuan monster behind you let out a roar fit to shake the earth. A quick tuck-and-roll left you crouched behind a fallen pillar, and the dragon’s bright, green, glower turned on you and your garbage hiding spot with a rumbling snarl. Its rows of sharp, white, teeth closing just above your head—missing its mark by barely a hair’s width.

“Gotcha!” Deuce snarled, his armored fists dragging the dragon away by its tail. Or, well, tried to. Because the dragon was a hundred feet long at least, and your blue haired friend probably looked like nothing more than a pesky rat darting between its feet. It turned and snapped at him irritably, taking a great, big, step forward in a bid to get a firmer stance to attack. You threw yourself in the other direction to avoid being trampled.

“Go!” Ace called, charging in from the other side. “Quick!”

Because at the end of the day, they were still both your brave, tanky, warrior, friends. And you were just a very, very, squishy bard who really would not fare well against a particularly motivated goose, let alone a dragon. So you skidded through the rubble and onto your feet, and started to sprint back into the castle’s halls—hoping maybe you’d be able to find a bit more cover.

There was a great clatter, and both Ace and Deuce yelped. You looked back hurriedly to see the pair of them clutching onto the dragon’s tail for dear life as it whipped them back and forth through the ash and debris cluttering the ground. With one, final, great, sweep, the dragon pitched them into the air and sent them careening through the roof of that ‘tallest tower.’ You muttered a hasty incantation and the sparkling outlines of soft feathers danced along your fingers. You hoped you weren’t too far. You were probably too goddamn far. But you hummed frantically under your breath nonetheless and entreated your middling magic to give them a soft landing.

And then there was another wave of green hellfire raining down over your head and you turned and ran.

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck—

Even if you’d been a champion sprinter, there was little good it would have done you against a beast whose stride was longer than you were tall. You made it back into some hall or other, and into another cavernous room, and then you were pinned into a corner—the dragon looming over you like a vengeful wraith come to take its due.

It was gigantic. Probably the biggest creature you’d ever seen. And it was sleek—all lithe muscle and glossy rows of black scales that glittered oddly in the dull, grey, light. Its wings spread wide behind it, spanning the entirety of the vast chamber. They looked like the sort of wings that could stir up a hurricane. The curling horns atop its head seemed sharp enough to gore a man or twenty, and the purple crests lining its skull were tapered down flat in a way that reminded you a bit deliriously of a pissy cat pinning its ears back before it swatted at you.

Its lips curled back over pointed canines as it snarled at you, and you were showered in a swathe of hot sparks.

“Oh, what large teeth you have,” you squeaked, and when the dragon dipped closer to bellow into your face, your reeled back with a splutter. “I—I mean white, sparkling, teeth!” you rattled, nearly incoherent. The dragon’s snout twitched away, almost like you’d startled it. “I mean, I’m sure you hear this all the time from your food, but—wow! Just! Very lovely! Definitely the prettiest smile I’ll ever be eaten by!”

Slowly it lowered its great head, and you could see the neon glare from its narrowed eyes.

“Not that you have to eat me,” you added hurriedly, hoping to whatever Gods could hear you that your smart mouth could finally be useful for more than just talking circles around assholes in bars or weaseling your friends out of shitty contracts. “I’d very much like not to be eaten. But all the same, we did intrude in your home—and it’s definitely a very nice home—so I’d totally get it. And I guess if I did have to die today, knowing that my life would be in the hands of something so magnificent is certainly reassuring.”

The dragon seemed to preen a bit at that. You could see the sharp crests beneath its horns soften as tension bled from the beast’s posture. It ducked in close again, and this time you felt a sharp pull of air rush past your cheeks as it sniffed you. Its nostrils were the size your head—bigger even, maybe. You didn’t want to think about it, but the dry heat of its breath puffing into your face made the entire thing a bit hard to ignore.

“Did I mention what a charming home you have?” you rambled on. “Very aesthetic. The gargoyles at the gate were a lovely touch.”

The dragon made a low, warbling, noise in its throat that wasn’t quite a growl, but wasn’t particularly… reassuring, either. It made the hair on the back of your neck stand on end.

It ducked away—not far, just enough to reach one of the large, carved, walls at the outskirts of the room. Its long neck slithered out before pausing pointedly over an archway. It took you a long moment to realize it was gesturing to something. Another gargoyle from the looks of things—this one almost entirely crumbled away under the strains of time. You could just barely make out the shape of its square jaw and taloned fingers.

You nodded so hard you nearly gave yourself whiplash.

“Yes! I see! Very beautiful! Such fine craftsmanship!”

The dragon cooed at you. Swear on your life and all the money in your back packet. An actual, honest to God, coo. Fuck, maybe you’d managed to charm your way out of imminent dismemberment and death after all.

It ambled closer once again, a curiosity lighting its eyes and warming those neon irises into something that was less poisonous-hell-fire and more mellow-evening-in-the-forest.

Amidst all the rippling waves of ebony scales, your eyes caught on the smallest smear of crimson. Just a touch of red—right along the spikes of its tail. Carefully, cautiously, slower than molasses, you stepped forward with your hands raised. You whispered a handful of familiar words under your breath and your palms glowed fuzzy and blue. Dragons were supposed to be inherently magical, right? So this one would certainly understand that the string of syllables you’d babbled out were good, and helpful, and not at all a provocation. The dragon was looking down at you with lidded eyes, its gaze a bit unfocused. You gulped.

“I’m sorry my friends messed with your tail,” you apologized, gingerly holding your fingers out to hover over the abrasions without actually touching. “They were just trying to protect me. If—if that makes it any better.” The minuscule wound began to knit itself back together neatly beneath the pulses of your magic. “I do tend to need a lot of protecting—I’m not much a warrior, if that wasn’t completely obvious by the everything about me—so I can’t really blame them for being a bit gung-ho about it.”

After a moment or two, the scratches had faded back into solid, matte, black and you drew back with a content hum.

“There! All fixed!” You gave your most winning smile. Please don’t eat me, your brain chanted on endless repeat. Please don’t eat me please don’t eat me please don’t eat me—

The dragon reared back and settled on its haunches with another heavy puff of sweltering breath. You could feel the heat of it prickling all the way up your arms. After a long, long, moment of silent consideration, the dragon leaned forward again and rumbled deep in its chest. When you only stood there, properly petrified, it huffed again and bumped its nose against your sternum, nearly toppling you over.

“I don’t—” you started, nervous. “I’m sorry. I don’t really get what you’re trying to say.”

With another sigh that sounded entirely too put upon, the dragon lowered its great head. The air itself seemed to grow heavy against your shoulders, and you could taste the cloying bitterness of strong magics on the back of your tongue. Black miasma oozed from beneath the dragon’s talons and melted along its scales. The caustic scent of ash and petrichor burned along your nostrils, and you had to pinch your eyes shut and cover your nose to keep from coughing. You managed to sneak a peek past your fingers just in time to watch the shadowed outline of the beast collapse. And out of that puddle of black goo emerged a man. He was tall and lithe, just as the dragon had been, with glowing green eyes that were terribly familiar. They were framed with thick, dark, lashes and sat perfectly on a face that was nearly too handsome to be human (well, it really wasn’t human you supposed, so that little tidbit probably accounted for said inhuman beauty well enough). Recognizable eyes and stature or no, the curling horns atop his head would have sealed the deal plenty well enough on their own.

He shook off the shadows twining around his ankles with a lazy twist of the hand and then turned to you with a curious little hum.

And holy fuck Mister Dragon apparently had no sense of shame, or maybe just no qualms about social niceties and practicalities, because his human self was wearing about just as many clothes as his lizard form had been.

You squeezed your eyes shut with a squeak, and then double covered them with your hands for good measure.

A chuckle rolled through the air—as dark and pleasantly rich as the finest of chocolates. And then there was a clawed finger beneath your chin, tilting your head back, and back, and back until you were at least half-way sure it would probably be safe to open your eyes again without infringing on his decency.

“You are fascinating, Child of Man,” it—he—hummed, low in his throat. His thumb dragged down to hook beneath the curve of your jaw and support the finger tucked up under your chin. “And it’s been so, very, long since I’ve been fascinated by anything.”

“Uh,” you replied, like a perfectly functional human being.

The dragon’s lips curled up over his pointed teeth—still just as sharp and white as they had been when he’d been so much bigger and scalier.

“I think I’d like to keep you,” he said with a nod to himself, as casually as one may talk about picking up extra groceries from the market.

“Uh,” you said again.

“You did mention that you needed protecting,” he continued, tapping a clawed finger against his own chin. The small smile quirking his lips twisted into something smug. “And that is certainly something at which I would excel.”

Your head was swimming.

“I—I mean. I’m honored that you—that… you—” You couldn’t even think the words, let alone get them past your brain and out of your mouth. You cleared your throat and fought to keep your eyes level with his clavicle and nowhere else. “D-Don’t you think you’re moving a bit fast?” you laughed nervously. “I mean, I’m sure my friends will probably be on their way back down soon—and—I mean, we haven’t even introduced ourselves yet. I don’t even know your name.”

He blinked, slow and serpentine.

“Oh. I suppose you wouldn’t.” He canted his head to the side, long strands of that inky black hair of his spilling across his shoulder. An amused sort of grin worked its way along his mouth. “Dragons are not keen to give out our true names so readily, but you seem like a clever one. Tell me—what do you think I’m called then, hmm?”

You glanced up quickly at the horns atop his head and couldn’t help yourself.

“Tsunotarou?”

He let out a bark of laughter that seemed to shake the walls.

“Oh,” he trilled, looking positively delighted. The hand not curled beneath your chin reached down to snag your own, and he brought your wrist up to his lips. You could feel the imprints of his canines against the soft skin there. “I’ll definitely be keeping you.”

I have a funny idea in the Monster au, baby teeth. Mini! Yuu either injured themselves causing one or two teeth to fall, or through eating. Like baby teeth fell, and then goes, "look look my teeth fell out!! :D". While their mouth is bleeding a bit. Plus, I'd imagine MC would have the myth of the tooth fairy, and then goes "I'm gonna put my teeth under the pillow for the tooth fairy!! :D"

Twisted Wonderland Monster AU: A Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Warning: Slight blood mention! Won’t go too into details on it, but please let me know if I should tag it another way!

TA-DA!!!!! I finally finished the mini!Yuu tooth fairy fic~!!!

Ah, the age old tradition of the tooth fairy visiting to leave a quarter or a dollar under a child’s pillow in exchange for their fallen teeth (or in one funny post, $100 from the “drunk tooth fairy” 😂). I vaguely remember I once had a heart shaped pillow my mom gave me that had a little pouch on the front to put the tooth, and I’d have it set to the side and wake up to a $1-$5 bill in the pouch instead. Each tradition is different for each family, but still, innocent fun in the end!

Monsters in this AU are no stranger to losing baby teeth. It’s all part of growing up and getting their adult teeth or fangs! But while they do have fairies in Twisted Wonderland, it’s hard to say lore wise if they do have tooth fairies or have that story for kids too. For the purposes of this ask though (and cuteness), let’s say that they don’t have a tooth fairy and now these boys have to figure out how to keep the “magic” alive.

By the way…this turned out much longer than I intended, so now it’s a fic. 😅 Enjoy the older brother shenanigans!

Under a read more due to length!

///------///

“Hey, Yuu! Guess what I just picked up from the Mystery Shop? Iiiiit’s…candy~!”

“Candy! Candy, candy, candy!!”

“Hold on, Yuu. Don’t go eating too many pieces this time, or you’ll spoil your appetite for lunch again!”

“Aww, come on, Deuce, let the kid have a lil’ fun,” Ace said, plopping the small bag of treats into the toddler’s waiting palms as they grinned happily, skipping away to enjoy their spoils. “Besides, they know the rule: if their tummy is full, they don’t get any of Trey’s desserts!”

Jack frowned as he said, “You did that on purpose so you could get their slice of cake or pie, didn’t you?”

“What? Psh, no! I’m just being a good big brother to the lil’ tyke,” Ace said with a scoff. “Where’d you get an idea like that? Besides, Grim swiped their tart last time, not me!”

“Hey! It’s not my fault they weren’t allowed to eat it before their nap time!” Grim protested. “And you swiped one of their cookies when they weren’t lookin’ last week, pal!”

“Why you little-!”

“Here we go again,” Epel said with a sigh.

“Disgraceful,” Sebek said. He glanced down when Yuu came back over with their stuffed rabbit Mr. Flopsy, the basilisk sitting still as the toddler climbed up to sit on his lap. “Absconding with the food of a weak and defenseless human child…have you two no shame?”

Before the two could react, Yuu looked up at Sebek and asked, “What does ab…abd…scion…ab…”

“Abscond?” Epel supplied.

Pointing at Epel, Yuu nodded and asked, “What does that word mean, Sebby?”

“It’s what happens when Ace swipes a cherry pie from Trey’s kitchen without permission and runs away,” Jack answered instead with a slight smirk.

“Hey!”

“The point is, little human, that you should never steal what doesn’t belong to you,” Sebek said with a huff.

“Oh. Okay, big brother!” Yuu said, turning back around and starting to dig into their treats. While the first years continued to talk (or rather bicker) around them, the toddler was quietly humming a tune as they played with Mr. Flopsy’s rabbit paws, occasionally reaching into the bag to pull out a new piece of candy or two. Some were soft like marshmallows or gummies, others were hard with a crunch. As they were chewing, they noticed the strange sensation in one of their front teeth. They’d felt it before when they visited the nice dentist man with the pretty assistant lady that looked like Sebek, but they forgot what he’d said about that tooth. Another quiet crunch distracted them from the thought, a new flavor bursting in their mouth that made them smile and giggle.

Reaching into the bag for another, their hand grabbed what felt like a bumpy gumball, their hand barely able to wrap around it as they pulled it out of the bag. It was white with rainbow flecks sprinkled across the surface, Yuu contemplating only for a split second how they were going to eat it before bringing it up to their mouth and—

Crack!

“Owww!” Yuu yelped, dropping the candy and wailing in pain as their hands reached up to cover their mouth.

“Yuu! What’s wrong?!” Deuce asked.

“Ah! Don’t cry, human, you’re safe!” Sebek said, trying to figure out how to console the crying child as tears began to form in their eyes.

“What happened?!” Jack asked, immediately kneeling in front of them. “Shh…it’s okay, Yuu. Are you hurt?” Somehow, Yuu managed to give him a nod, still muffling their whimpers behind their hands. “Did you bite your tongue? Are your teeth hurting?”

Epel caught sight of the candy that had fallen and picked it up. “Hol’ on…izzat a jawbreaker?!” he gasped.

“Say what?! How did that get in there!?” Ace said, swiping the bag and beginning to dig through the contents. “I’m not seeing any others…I swear I checked the bag before I bought it! Grim, did you slip that in when I wasn’t looking?!”

“I thought it was a big gumball!” Grim yelped, looking distressed now. “It looked just like one—I didn’t know it was a jawbreaker thing!” Now near tears, he whimpered, “Now I’ve gone and hurt the human…Professor Crewel’s gonna kill me!”

“Fergit Professor Crewel—the researchers ‘re gonna tan our hides if we don’t git Yuu t’ the nurse’s office!” Epel said, his accent slipping in thicker than normal in his panic.

“Let’s go!!”

/---------/

“Don’t worry, they’re fine.”

It had been a confusing and panic-inducing five-minute sprint to the nurse’s office from the dorms, students getting bowled over or jumping out of the way of the charging first years. Even Riddle could barely yell at them to not run in the halls before Ace and Deuce shouted “Yuu’s hurt! Nurse’s office!!” in unison. Their panic was only increased tenfold when the nurse wasn’t in the infirmary, instead rushing over to the closest researcher and begging for help after explaining the situation.

So, to hear them say that the human was okay, the first years were relieved yet bewildered as they all but collapsed to the floor in exhaustion.

“What even happened? I thought we broke Yuu’s jaw on accident with that jawbreaker!” Grim asked.

The researcher gave a gentle smile as she turned off the little flashlight and said, “Well, while it was unwise to give something that hard or large to a toddler to begin with, I understand it was an accident and that you meant no harm. Besides…you may have helped loosen one of their baby teeth.”

“B…baby teeth?” Deuce repeated.

“Yes, though they’re also known as primary teeth or milk teeth. From the records we’ve gathered, Yuu has already lost at least one small tooth before they arrived and has already gotten one of their adult teeth in.” Turning to the toddler, whose hands were now in their lap, the researcher said, “Sweetie, would you open your mouth and show us your pretty teeth, please?”

Looking at the first years for a moment, Yuu cooperated and opened their mouth wide.

“See this front tooth here, next to the canine?” the researcher said, using a gloved hand to reach out and gently nudge one. What should have been solid now gave way, the tooth wiggling with each nudge. “During Dr. Zigvolt’s dental exam, it was noted that the adult tooth buried in the gums beneath this tooth was beginning to push down. It likely was already starting to become loose, the candy simply sped up the process…if a little painfully, but it happens.”

“So…Yuu’s just going to lose a tooth naturally and get a new one?” Ace asked.

“That’s right. Children in monster species start losing teeth in the same order that they came in, so by our calculations, since this is the second tooth to fall out, Yuu’s front teeth came in first. It’s not so different from some of the more common monster species in Twisted Wonderland. We just need to keep an eye on it, and make sure the process goes smoothly within the next few days or so.”

“Phew…that’s a relief,” Grim said. “Ya hear that, Yuu? You’re gonna grow up big and strong like us when you get all your big human teeth!”

Yuu’s expression grew bright and cheerful as they said, “Yay! I want pretty teeth like JackJack and Sebby!”

“If you get those kind of chompers, don’t start teething on us!”

/Several Days Later/

Word spread quickly what transpired, and while most of the students had relaxed knowing that nothing was wrong, it was hard to ignore the exciting news. Sure, it was always exciting knowing that a monster child was one step closer to getting their full adult teeth, but knowing that Yuu—the only known human child in existence—was getting their own adult teeth? It was a “#riteofpassage #baby’sgrowingup #don’tknowhowtodeal” as Cater had posted on his Magicam channel.

So when the tooth finally fell out after Yuu accidentally got hit in the face by a swinging door (and lots of reassurances and boo-boo kisses were given)…

“It came out! It came out!”

“It sure did, Yuu,” Trey said, patting the small human on the head as they triumphantly held up the tooth. “That’s a pretty big one you got there!” He gave them a look and asked, “Have you been flossing your teeth like I showed you?”

“Mm…yes!” Yuu said, giving a decisive nod and grinning widely.

“Well that’s good, otherwise I’d have to cut back on the goodies I give you!” Nudging them towards the others, he said, “Why don’t you go show everyone else?”

With an excited squeak, Yuu ran over and all but launched themselves into Cater’s lap as the hippogryph laughed. “Look, look! I lost my tooth!”

“Hooray! Baby’s second tooth is gone~!” Cater said with a cheer, giving Yuu a boop on the nose before snapping a pic. “Aww…soon you’ll be too big to sit in our laps. #wheredidthetimego?”

“What are you gonna do with the tooth, Yuu?” Deuce asked.

That was when Yuu’s expression grew even more excited than before, revealing the gap in their teeth as they loudly proclaimed, “I’mma leave it for the tooth fairy!”

“Tooth…fairy?” Riddle asked in confusion.

“Tooth fairy!” Yuu repeated, oblivious to the baffled and confused looks around them as they looked at their baby tooth. “When you lose a tooth, you’re s’posed to put it under your pillow for the tooth fairy, and when you wake up—she leaves you a quarter!”

Exchanging a look, Ace asked, “And this…tooth fairy…just comes in at night and steals human teeth…for money?”

“She doesn’t steal! She trades for them,” Yuu told him. “I’mma leave mine under my pillow, and when the tooth fairy comes, you’ll see!”

“Uh…is there even such a thing as a tooth fairy?” Deuce uttered, looking thoroughly confused. He didn’t remember his mother telling him anything about a tooth fairy before…

“She’s real! She’s really real!” Yuu insisted. “She’ll come tonight!”

“Okay, okay, we believe you,” Trey said. “In the meantime, though, it’s time for breakfast. Do you want waffles or pancakes?”

“Pancakes!!” Yuu cheered.

“Alright then, let’s go. You can help me mix the batter."

“Yaaaay!!”

As the two disappeared into the kitchen, Ace couldn’t help but look at the others and ask, “So…who’s going to tell them there’s no such thing as a tooth fairy?”

“Well, maybe not here in Twisted Wonderland, anyway,” Cater said with a shrug. “But who knows? Maybe she does exist wherever the humans are now. Besides, what’s wrong with letting little kids believe in something innocent like this tooth fairy or those tooth stealing clowns?”

“Please don’t remind me of those,” Deuce uttered with a shudder.

/The Next Morning/

The gentle sunlight was streaming in through the window, landing on the slumbering toddler tucked in tight. Slowly blinking in the bright light, Yuu mumbled as they rubbed at their eyes…before sitting up with a gasp. “Tooth fairy!!” they said, giggling happily as they lifted the pillow up-

Only to find the tooth still there.

“Huh…?” they uttered in confusion, shaking the pillow to see if the coin was inside to no avail.

“Good morning, pup,” came Crewel’s voice as he entered the room. “I thought I heard you up earlier than usual. It’s time to get dressed…what are you doing?”

Yuu turned to look at him with confused eyes as they pointed at the small tooth, saying, “The tooth fairy didn’t come for my tooth!”

“Ah, I see.” He’d heard about this ‘tooth fairy’ from one of his students when they dropped the toddler off with the staff, but he didn’t quite understand the logic behind it. “You didn’t stay awake all night trying to catch this ‘tooth fairy’ now, did you?”

With that, Yuu’s head sheepishly ducked close to their shoulders. “Yes…but I had to get proof for my big brothers!” they said, reaching over to pull the Ghost Camera into their lap. “I’ll prove she’s real!”

“I’m sure you will, pup,” he told them reassuringly, giving them a pat on the head before lifting them into his arms. “Now come along. It’s time to get ready for school.”

Despite this turn of events, Yuu still held hope that the tooth fairy would come. They chattered with each of their adoptive big brothers, telling anyone who would listen about the pretty tooth fairy who traded teeth for money (a concept that Azul couldn’t quite see the merit of). Even the researchers were not immune to the child’s enthusiastic ramblings during one of their tests. By the end of the day, when they settled down for bed, they swore that tonight would be the night that she would arrive!

Yet once again, the tooth was still there when they awoke.

“She’ll come,” they said, though there was a slight hint of doubt in their voice. “She has to come…”

And still the next day, they were greeted by the same sight, the tooth seeming to mock them as they sat there staring at it. Why was it still here? Why hadn’t she come? They didn’t care about the money anymore…they just wanted to know that she was real.

It came as quite the shock when Yuu was brought to school that day, the students and staff alike worried at the unusually quiet behavior from the toddler. They hardly even played “potion-master” as enthusiastically as they usually did. So, when it came time for lunch, Yuu sat there looking glum, pushing their food around on their plate with their fork while their big brothers watched in concern.

“Hey, cheer up, chickadee!” Cater said with a smile. “The cafeteria made your favorite today. You don’t want it to get cold, do ya?”

Yuu gave a slight shrug, but otherwise didn’t seem to react much as they continued staring at their uneaten food.

“Do you want me to do the magic carpet thing again?” Kalim asked, picking up a spoon and scooping up one of the sides. “Ready? Nyeeeooom~! Brrrrr, here it comes~!”

The spoon came close to their mouth, yet Yuu didn’t accept the bite. Instead, they heaved a heavy sigh.

“Aww…that usually works,” Kalim uttered, large ears lowering sadly. “Are you not hungry? Did you have too much to eat at breakfast?”

“No. They didn’t even take the cookie I swiped from the kitchen for them this morning,” Ace said. “They always take the cookie even when they’re full.”

“Come now, little one. What’s wrong?” Lilia asked, leaning in close to try and see their face. “We can’t help if you don’t tell us.”

For a moment, Yuu glanced up at him before lowering their gaze again. Then, in a quiet voice, they uttered, “She didn’t come…”

“Who didn’t come?”

“…the tooth fairy…” Eyes growing shiny with unshed tears, Yuu mumbled, “She was supposed to come…she always comes when you lose a tooth, but…but she didn’t.” Tears began to fall now as they sniffled, their voice cracking as they said, “She’s…she’s not real…”

In that moment, the toddler began to cry, Lilia immediately scooping them into his arms and wrapping his wings around them for comfort. Yet even this didn’t seem to help as it normally did, Yuu’s heartbreaking wails causing other students to turn in concern. No one knew what to do. But before anyone could ask what they could do to soothe the child—

“Well of course she’s real, Yuu!”

“Ace? What are you doing?” Deuce hissed at him under his breath. “Now’s not the time!”

Pretending that he didn’t hear him, Ace slid over to look Yuu in the eye and said, “You said yourself that she’s real, right? So, it must be true!”

“B…but…she never came,” Yuu whimpered. “She…she doesn’t exist…”

“Well…when the sun and moon are covered by the clouds and you can’t see them, does that mean they don’t exist?” Ace asked, raising an eyebrow at them.

Sniffling, Yuu shook their head and said, “No…”

“Then why wouldn’t the tooth fairy exist too?” he continued, holding his arms out as though to indicate the whole school. “Just look at us! Did you ever think that we could exist?”

“…no?”

“And yet: here we are. We also never believed we’d ever see a human like you, and yet, here you are. To us, you are like the tooth fairy: you exist, which means so does she.” They still didn’t look too convinced, and so he asked, “Do you remember that package you were really excited to get two weeks ago? The one that Idia ordered for you online?”

“Yeah…it got lost,” Yuu replied.

“Yup. And yet it arrived a few days later than it should have, and you still got your present in the end. So, you know what? Maybe that’s what happened with the tooth fairy!”

“Huh?”

“Think about it: you’re not where you were last time when you lost your first baby tooth, right?” At Yuu’s nod, he smiled and said, “So that means she knows you lost a tooth: she just hasn’t figured out how to get to you yet. And if she’s as amazing and great as you say she is, then I’m sure she’ll be here any day now. And you know what? I’ll bet she’ll have a big stash of coins or goodies waiting for you as an apology for making you wait so long. And when she does…I want you to show me your treasure. That will prove to me that she’s real. What do you say? Will you give her more time to pull through for you?”

By now, the tears had stopped, a small, hesitant smile on their face as Yuu nodded. “Okay,” they said. “I’ll wait.”

“Great. Now…are you going to eat your lunch, or are you going to let Grim eat it all before you?” he asked, pointing at the chimera sneaking the roll off their plate.

“Nooo!” Yuu called out with a giggle, their hands reaching out to try and snatch the roll back. “Grim, that’s mine!"

“Hey, you weren’t eating it!” Grim replied, though he had a smile on his muzzle.

While the two play-fought over the food, Cater leaned in and said, “Nice one, Ace. But…what are we going to do if she doesn’t show up?”

“Don’t worry, we’ll make sure she does,” Ace said with a sly smile.

/Later that night at Heartslabyul/

“Here you are, Yuu,” Trey said as he tucked the toddler in, fluffing their pillow before sitting next to the small bed. “Nice and comfy?”

“Uh-huh,” Yuu said with a nod, though they looked nervous. “Thank you for letting me spend the night.”

“You’re welcome, Yuu,” Riddle said with a small smile. “I was surprised that Professor Crewel agreed to let you stay in our dorm for tonight.” He held up a smaller star shaped pillow, the stitching on the fabric spelling Yuu’s name and having what looked like a small pouch on the front. “Here. Vil wanted me to give you this for your tooth.”

“Why?”

“He thought that it would be easier to present the tooth to the tooth fairy if it were in a pillow of its own. He even placed a good luck charm on it as well, just for you,” came the response as Riddle placed it close to their head. “I’ve taken the liberty of placing the tooth safely inside the little pouch here, so it should stay safe and secure until her arrival.”

“Hold up! Can’t forget Mr. Flopsy,” Ace said as he held up the stuffed yellow rabbit, tucking the toy in next to Yuu as he patted the sheets. “There we go.”

“Thank you!” Yuu said, hugging their plush friend close as Grim curled up next to them. Their smile faltered a little, and they looked nervous once more. Then, in a quiet voice, they asked, “Do…do you really think she’ll come tonight, Ace?”

“I think she will,” came the cheeky response as Ace gave them a warm smile. “After all, she is magic, and you do believe in magic, right?” When they nodded, he said, “Good. Then so long as you keep believing in her, she’ll come through for you. Okay?”

“Okay. Good night!” Yuu said, nestling in tighter under the covers with a renewed smile on their face.

“Good night, Yuu!”

When the lights shut off and Trey had settled down in his own bed, Yuu lay there staring up at the ceiling. Then, in a quiet whisper, they said, “Please be real…”

As they finally drifted off to sleep, they were unaware of the faint glow of silver-blue light beneath the doorframe…

/The Next Morning/

“Yuu! Yuu, wake up! She came! She came!”

The toddler was woken from their sleep by Grim’s excited calls, blinking blearily at the chimera before their eyes landed on the star-shaped pillow. A sharp gasp escaped at the sight before them before they called out, “Trey!! She came, she came, she came!!” The two scrambled up onto Trey’s bed and began jumping up and down, chanting, “She came! She came! She came!!!”

Grunting, Trey sat up in bed and patted around the side table for his glasses before putting them on. “Huh? Wha-? What’s going…on?” His eyes grew wide as he stared, uttering a quiet, “What…the…?”

The star shaped pillow was sitting atop a large pile stacked neatly next to their bed, filled with a myriad of plushies and sweets and treats. There were even several satchels of coins and madol scattered about the piles, including several large softball-sized crystals of various hues and colors.

“Whoa,” he uttered in disbelief. “Where did all this come from?”

“The tooth fairy! She came, just like Ace said she would!” Yuu said excitedly, hopping from his bed to theirs as they reached over to dig into their new treasure stash. They pulled out what looked like a large black and purple dragon plushie, hugging it tightly to their chest before happily saying, “She’s real! She’s really real!”

“Nyahaha~! Lookit all this loot!” Grim cheered, cackling as he started digging into the pile too. “This tooth fairy lady is awesome!”

At that, Trey couldn’t help but smile and laugh. “So she did. Why don’t you go get Ace and show him your new treasures?”

Yuu’s smile was so bright even with the gap, and they hopped off and bolted out of his room, shouting, “Ace! Deuce! Cay-Cay! Riddle! She came! She came! The tooth fairy came! Come look!”

Shaking his head, Trey uttered, “I can’t believe he managed to pull it off. Was this all from the other dorms?”

“Yeah! The Ramshackle ghosts were happy to help out. Who knew that being a ghost would be perfect for sneaking in like this?” Grim commented, tiny wings fluttering as he happily swayed with the cash in front of him. “I wonder if I can convince Yuu to buy me some tuna cans with this loot…hm?” He noticed something and reached out to pull down the star pillow. “What’s this?”

“Hm…?” There was a small piece of paper sticking out of the pouch, and when Trey pulled it out…a small silver disk fell out onto the bed. It looked like a coin, but not one that he’d ever seen before. Unfolding the small note, he blinked as the glowing letters faded, arranging themselves into a message as he read, “Thank you for your patience, little one. I am sorry I could not arrive as soon as I could. Please accept my gifts as an apology for making you wait so long.”

Both chimera and satyr exchanged a look before Yuu came bursting in again, closely followed by the others as the toddler began showing them all their new treasures. Ace—though he was smiling—had an odd look in his eyes, and Trey could see a small piece of paper hidden in his fist. When asked about it later when Yuu wasn’t around, he showed the paper that he said he’d found hiding under his pillow…along with a stack of similar looking silver coins like Yuu had gotten.

“To the ones who helped the little one believe: thank you.”

Hello!! Im not sure if requests are open but if they are here is my request :

Fright

Where the Prefect give the entire group a test of courage, or in their case, worry

Heartslabyul | Savanaclaw | Octavinelle | Scarabia | Pomefiore | Ignihyde | Diasomnia

Hello!! Im Not Sure If Requests Are Open But If They Are Here Is My Request :

The two of them were busy with each other, joking like any other day. It's rare for Y/n to be able to enjoy the freedom of a full day like this, without them realizing it, they already feel a bit of stiffness and aches in their necks.

Following Ace closely from behind, Y/n reached out to the back of their neck. Massaging the nape, trying their best to reduce the ridiculous amount of ache. If only school hours were over, they would've gone back to the dorm, laying down on the bed and enjoying resting their entire body from the fatigue. It would've seemed all of those long — forgotten troubles had finally caught on physically, tiring them out.

"Oh, that's right! N/n~ Don't be lazy, okay? After all, you should really keep an eye on Grim—"

CRACK—

Y/n felt their joints shift slightly back in the right direction. Hearing such a beautiful voice in their ears, they felt a relief that cannot be expressed in separate words. They smiled slightly, shook their heads left and right, feeling the joints return to the right direction completely.

They raised their heads to face Ace once more, but what they found was a pair of hands holding their cheeks roughly, their interlocutor's eyes filled with concern. The warmth of his gloved palm radiating out of the black leather glove. For once, Ace was far more easy to read. And to decipher what he's currently feeling. What they cannot tell; is the exact reason for this sudden switch of a personality.

The type to show his worry but in another kind of way. Trying to remain cool and compose, cracking up another story of an excuse. Ace won’t fully admit it whenever he feels worried per se, even if he did, he still tries to cover up with different excuses.

"I'm joking~! Come on, don't take my words seriously! You can be lazy but don't do it again!!" Y/n blinked incessantly, questioning her friend's sudden 360 degree behavior.

"What do you mean...?"

"Ehhhh...? What do you mean, what do I mean?"

Ace won’t fully admit it, however, he himself has a certain soft spot to his first friend by this school. Despite the roller-coaster disaster they must overcome, he keeps an eye out for Y/n more specifically. He is indeed a jerk and a tease, but behind that facade, lies a figure that would keep an eye out for his friend's well-being.

"Listen..." He started talking once more, so Y/n had no choice but to hear what he had to say. "I totally understand. Like really!"

"There are times when you want to just give up, but as far as I know that's simply not your style!!" Y/n who listened to Ace felt dizzy for a moment, knowing that there was a misunderstanding that occurred in such a short time.

“And what you just did was completely lame!! Can't you tell I'm joking?? Or Prefect, are you really sensitive?? Where is the lost and presumptuous magicless student who fought such a terrifying student?! ”

“No, wait—”

"Just because you can't handle one harmless joke doesn't mean you can break your bones like that."

"Ace—"

"Fortunately, you didn't completely break your bones—"

"Because I didn't break it, you idiot. I crack ‘em. To be specific, I'm aiming for the joints rather than bones." Ace for once looked taken aback, he looked at the flat Prefect of Ramshackle House, confirming the truth of where they had spilled. He casually put his hands behind his head, turned and walked ahead in front of them.

“Oh, of course I know that! I was just trying to see the stupid look on your face.”

At the end of the day, Ace is quick to dismiss that embarrassing misunderstanding, but bringing it up would certainly make the tip of his ear brightened up.

Hello!! Im Not Sure If Requests Are Open But If They Are Here Is My Request :

It was a normal evening, the warm light that seeped through the window, falling down onto their figure. Two students are currently reviewing their notes, until one of them finds it tiring to keep on taking pre-notes.

Deuce mutters under his breath, reading the same words over and over again. Test will soon come and he cannot slack off during that time. He need to get a high score, he need to maintain a well-built report, he need to—

CRACK—

The end of his writing turned into a messy scribble. He bopped his head up, pupils shrinking by the sound. Deuce heard something, something that resembled the sound of a breaking bone. And who would've thought, it is precisely coming from the person on the other side of his table. His mouth was agape, taken aback by what they've done to themselves, carefully watching their next movement.

Apparently, while he isn't looking at all, Y/n managed to crack the bone around the wrist area, popping through those bubbles that become the reason for their stiffness. However, showing displeasure, it seems like it wasn't enough to get rid of it entirely. They violently shake their hand around, trying to ease it down. Planning to do a round 2 of cracking down until the negative pressure disappears.

But alas, a hand prevented them from doing so as they were seen to do it again. A gloved hand that held her other wrist, gently, carefully, as if it was afraid to harm it any further. Raising their heads up, Y/n lifted one of their eyebrows, taking notes of the worry by Deuce expression.

"Don't do that."

"Don't do what?"

First of all, you’re, I mean they’re cruel if they did it out of purpose. If not, congratulations, they have made the baby of the group worry over their action. The type to worry and show it evidently, even frowning while looking at their direction.

Overwhelmed by his concern, Y/n cannot prevent the cold sweat that dribbles down their forehead. What is his problem? He suddenly holds their wrist, preventing them from moving any further. At times like this, they would’ve come up with a snarky comment. But, they cannot bring themselves to do that when he stares at them intently.

“You’re going to break your bones.”

“I— Pardon me, what—?”

Unlike Ace, who takes an entire detour around Twisted Wonderland to get to the point. Deuce immediately says the reason behind it all. In his mind, he assumed that Y/n was aware of the consequences behind their action. Thus, he didn’t appreciate the way they made him worry.

“You’re trying to break your bones.”

“...Pft—”

They snorted, finding it adorable how his worry switched to a confused expression. How can they hold back a laughter when Deuce takes the wrong kind of deduction. Y/n lower their head, trying their very best to refrain from laughing. It’s too much for them, too funny in their opinion. Especially when he thought they were trying to break their bones. What kind of fool would willingly break bones like that? Not them.

“Pft— Deuce, I'm sorry.”

“Huh?”

After a moment of explanation, Deuce cannot help himself but feel embarrassed. Face overheating from the small mistake. The entire study session, he cannot bring himself to look at them, knowing the smug expression that awaits him.

Hello!! Im Not Sure If Requests Are Open But If They Are Here Is My Request :

It was probably enough for their normal activities, talking rumors, taking quick photos and even walking peacefully down the halls of the NRC. Cater and Y/n chatted cheerfully, exchanging information about how the day had passed and whatnot. Unfortunately for them, their last subject is PE class.

“Ne, ne~ Have you heard? The Adeuce duo is at it again!”

“What did they do this time… Hm—?” Y/n reached out to massage their shoulders, frowning slightly. They could swear it was painful to move it. Meanwhile, they tried to listen carefully to what he was talking about. However, one thing that caught their attention overall was the stiffness in their shoulders. It must be because of Vargas's completely relentless workout.

"Which also reminds me, we haven't taken a picture together yet! So, how about we…"

CRACK—

Y/n groaned in satisfaction, twisting their shoulders back a little forcefully to get that wondrous feeling. Well, that's when the light of the shutter binds right in their eyes. A swift and unstoppable light had blocked their vision. To that, they reacted by blinking rapidly, reducing the hazy light that appeared in their vision, slowly returning to their sense of sight.

Cater was looking at them. Pupils blown wide, mouth parted open and phone in hand. The reason behind that light was the camera being accidentally pressed. As a result he took pictures that could be said to be somewhat traumatic from his point of view.

He would be surprised rather than worried. It would happen after a moment of stunned silence, before expressing his concern still with a bewildered expression.

". . ."

". . ."

The two of them stood in awkward silence, trying to figure out what each other was thinking, especially Y/n who wondered what was up with that flabbergasted impression. They stared at him, brows furrowed, lips parted, until Cater smacked them on the head.

"Hey! What was that just now?!"

"What are you talking about?!"

Cater will initially think it's some kind of joke that's trending these days. Ignoring their inquiries, he immediately searches for the hashtag that is relatable to this situation. Much to his dismay, he did not find it and grew even more confused. There's no way they would've done it by accident, right? Or is it?

"Let's get you to the infirmary."

"Huh? Wha— Hey! Cater-senpai!!"

Y/n felt odd, the way Cater wrapped their hand against their wrist and gently, forcing them to come along is quite uncharacteristic of him. And furthermore, the way his cheerful and bright demeanor switched to a stoic one, made them feel uneasy. They never did anything, other than fixing their one and only lament which lies by their shoulder. Why does this – or rather nothing – have anything to do with the infirmary?

“I’ll make sure you get a checkup.” If possible, Y/n wished they’re the one who smacked Cater by the head.

He practically dragged them to the infirmary, making sure nothing bad happened to them after the checkup. It's a senior's job to keep an eye on his juniors, right? And he just did what he was supposed to do. It took some time to explain it thoroughly to him. When he finally got the point, he laughed it off. Probably planning to do this kind of trick in the future.

Hello!! Im Not Sure If Requests Are Open But If They Are Here Is My Request :

What are other ways to bond over other than a baking class? Of course, it had become a common schedule between the two. Where Trey specifically taught them a new dessert recipe and they continued to jot it down in their notepads, ignoring how their fingers were screaming the word, tired.

"Make sure to only use a teaspoon and a half." Y/n wasted no time, they jotted them down, scribbling pen on a piece of paper, eyes trained by the notes slowly filled with the different kinds of recipes they had learned over the last few days.

Trey looked at them, smiling very sweetly. Act like any other proud chef looking to his future successor or beyond. He reached out and patted them on the head, telling them silently how they were doing pretty well in today's lesson too. He returned to his explanation, doing so through action as well. Baking something for Riddle and teaching someone while doing it? He might have killed two birds with one stone.

However, this has been going on for quite some time. Even Y/n had realized such a fact, releasing and clenching their fists countless times. Focusing on the current Baker, they contemplated what to do to release the amount of pressure with their fingers. Y/n looked back at Trey, nodding along with his explanation.

CRACK—

Trey suddenly stopped what he was doing, facing completely at Y/n who was trying their best to write with their other hand, the hand they rarely used to write. While their dominant hand is currently being cracked one by one, with the help of the thumb pressing the area around the bottom of the finger.

Sensing the silence, Y/n looked up from their notes, noticing the worry that was showing on Trey's face. "Hmm?"

I do not understand the purpose behind this, but if they ever wished to see their disappointed mother's expression all over again, there you have it. Arm crosses, brow furrowed and the way he looked down on them, it yelled out the most unacceptable word, disappointment.

"Y/n, what did you just do?"

"Uhm… I… I cracked my fingers…? You know… Like… How some cracked their knuckles but I'm doing it one after another…"

Y/n forced herself to be quiet. The way Trey deep creases – if possible – makes him look like an ordinary mom who disapproves of every action they take no matter what the outcome. Whether it's good or bad, it doesn't matter in this case. Disappointment will always be disappointment. The kind of feeling that was currently choking them alive.

He's not the type to ask why, he's the type to look at them, asking by the way his alluring gaze was present. At the same time, it shows the privilege he has been having this entire time. The same kind of instinct of an older brother, that's ready to scold his younger siblings for their wrongdoing.

"Don't do that. Scratch that, you cannot do that."

"I—"

"Do you understand?"

That one word, that one word is enough to hold authority over many people. Quickly, they nodded their heads, completely shutting their mouths, obeying his orders. It brought satisfaction to Trey, patting them on the head once more, returning to his own bakery.

"Good. I'm just keeping an eye out for you, you know? Sorry if I sound harsh."

Trey is possibly used to multitasking at once. Hence, he's finishing up the dessert he's currently making, before looking for a way to help out with their dilemma and problem. Taking care of his junior is what a dutiful senior would've done.

"Here, if you ever feel your fingers constrict, avoid doing so. Instead, dip your fingers in warm water."

Trey motioned for them to put their fingers in the bowl he had prepared, waiting for the cake to finish baking. Reluctantly, Y/n slowly dipped their fingers in the water, feeling the warmth coursing through their skin and bones, a soft sigh of pleasure leaving their lips, smiling contentedly.

"...This is nice."

"It is, isn't it?"

Of course, he did not forget to reward them at the same time, giving a slice of a fresh baked cake to them after their hard work in keeping up with his own personal baking session. Patting their head for the umpteenth time this day.

Hello!! Im Not Sure If Requests Are Open But If They Are Here Is My Request :

How fun isn't it? They are friendly, very sweet and not forced or anything, to help Heartslabyul once again. With what? Ah, it's time to paint the roses red. Offering another hand to help Heartslabyul who was short on hands, they had been doing this job for an entire hour.

Red paint drenches the pale white Rose. The smudge of the smudged color fell to the ground while the brush gently dipped into the paint can. Y/n yawned, showing signs of exhaustion as they carefully brushed the white flowers of the same color. How did they end up in this situation again? They couldn't be sure.

Finishing the top area of the rose bush, they carefully descended the ladder, keeping an eye on the ladder. The least they wanted was to misstep and fall to their own deaths. Y/n dropping the brush on the inside could hurt. Felt really tired from the job. They've been painting for what seems like forever and their break is aching from all the careful positioning they've been in.

They raised their arms up, bodies arched forward, ignoring the presence of someone trying to check their condition.

"Y/n, how's your side—"

CRACK-

The voice was magical, dispelling all feelings of tightness behind them. They hum in satisfaction, lowering their hands. But, out of the corner of their eyes, they could see a familiar scarlet color. Which reminds them of a bright and dazzling rose. Behold, Riddle Rosehearts in all… Glory… ? Or worried?

Needless to say, he was horrified. He stood there, unsure how to react. Riddle wondered how they could look at him so innocently. It was as if they had never tried anything like splitting their spines in half. In the first line, he would stutter, trying to get out of his daze and accept the answer.

“I… You…”

“You? Me?”

Staring at each other head on, two students, one a dorm leader and one an invited prefect. Opening their lips, they tried to ask once more, however that soon turned into a dreadful expression, seeing the familiar beet red by Riddle's face.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THAT?!"

"HUH?!"

Riddle cannot express his concern, albeit the misunderstanding. He assumes it was all an intentional action, as if they would've done that to begin with. But, he's consumed by rage, in an adorable kind. Ahoge tensed up, comical white eyes, face flared up in the sea of red – due to anger, I might add – last but not least, the angry pout by his lips. He even tried to remember whether they unintentionally break the rules.

"Why did you do that?!"

"Did what??? I'm just painting the roses red!! Is it not enough for you?!" The two yelled back at each other, having their argument and objection. Apparently, their little roundup of aggressive yelling caught the group's attention. It was at first Ace and Deuce, who's seeking out for their dorm leader before Trey and Cater come along, watching the two bicker together.

The other watched in amusement, watching how Riddle did not say his famous line yet. Even with the look of anger in his face, it was obvious for the others it wasn't simply over anything unrelated to Y/n conditions.

"...Ne, senpai, are we really just going to watch them?"

"Don't worry, the two are all bark and no bite."

"This is totally them~!"

"Hold on, is it just me or did they keep on surviving dorm leader wrath?"

It took an entire argument to come into a adjournment. However, it is worth the fight. Became at the end, you'll receive a blushing mess Riddle due to embarrassment. For the entire week or more.

An Additional Sully Fam Member, Perhaps A Healer Thats Loaks Age?

Etëyna and Lo'ak were twins. Other than sharing their father's five-fingered hands and valiant heart, they couldn't be any more different.

Growing up, Lo'ak was a fireball, running around and causing mayhem.

He was a whirlwind, the devil in disguise. Immature and free-spirited and pain in everyone's ass.

Etëyna, on the other hand, Etëyna was a breath of life.

She a gentle wind to her brother's deadly storm

Neytiri always called Etëyna her little forest child because she carried Pandora in her soul and spirit

She was a balance of strength and beauty, silly and serious. She was a dreamer with her feet still on the ground, the kind of child who could find sunshine in a rainstorm.

Jake would always be chasing after her, not like how he did with Lo'ak as he fled from trouble, but because Etëyna was always running straight into the forest, answering the voices that called to her.

Jake would scoop her up, carrying her back to the village over his shoulder.

"No Daddy, please!" she'd beg, beating her small fists against his back.

Jake would always cave, making her promise to not tell Neytiri before letting her run off. He'd gaze after Etëyna, still astonished at how this child, this little girl full of so much wonder, was really his daughter.

Etëyna's soul was made of wildflowers and laughter. She was boundless and unapologetically free. She found home in the forest of Pandora, so attuned to the songs of birds and animals that roamed.

Lo'ak and her were inseparable. One was not found without the other. They'd go on midnight swims in the bioluminescent pond and have races on who could climb trees the fastest.

When Etëyna got hurt, Lo'ak was always there. He always came. There was a special bond linking them, like a string tethering them together. It was truly fascinating how their spirits moved as one, a connection so strong not even Mo'at--the great spiritual leader--could define it.

As they grew older, entering their teens, Lo'ak become more reckless. Etëyna became more curious. She began learning from the healers, fascinated by their elixirs and remedies.

Mo'at would send her off to the forest to collect special plants and herbs. When Etëyna returned with them all, Mo'at could hardly believe it. Each mission she sent her on was a secret test. The flowers and leaves Etëyna easily found were the rarest of Pandora, mere myths. They remained undiscovered, hidden under the moss and vines, until Etëyna was born.

The forest guided her, tugging at her chest.

She was proof that Eywa existed, that the Great Mother could bestow a piece of herself onto the land.

Etëyna was the most protected girl in the village. Not only was she the daughter of Toruk Makto, but she was also the daughter of Tsahìk, the sister of the heir, the twin to the troublemaker.

Her brothers were always at her side.

Jake made Neteyam promise that he'd always keep a watchful eye on Etëyna, since Lo'ak could be oblivious at times, and he did.

Neytiri taught Etëyna how to shoot her first arrow.

"Stay steady, chin up," Neytiri would direct, guiding Etëyna's hands.

She was always better at healing than archery.

Being raised by Tsahìk, the dauntless archeress respected by all, Neytiri taught Etëyna how to be an angel standing in hellfire. She taught her eldest daughter how to make men drop to their knees.

Etëyna might appear to be an elegant flower, but she was lethal when provoked. She took after Neytiri in that sense.

When Lo'ak had the genius idea of visiting the old battlefield and a group of Avatars kidnapped them, taking Lo'ak, Spider, Kiri, and Tuk hostage, Etëyna escaped undetected.

She hid out in the obscuring trees, observing from above, calculating her plan of attack.

But it was when her siblings were held at gunpoint, knives pressed against their throats, that she became feral.

She killed the stray Avatars keeping lookout first, silent and swift with the knife Jake always made her carry.

Etëyna prowled around the others, blending with the forest as darkness fell. Only her yellow eyes glowed through the leaves.

Foolishly, Quaritch dispatched more of his men to scope the forest, each one sent to their deaths.

By the time Jake, Neytiri, and Neteyam arrived, the trail of lifeless bodies she left turned their blood cold. The children must have put up a fair fight, they thought. The children, the children...

But soon Jake caught sight of Etëyna in the shadows, her back pressed against the trunk of a tree. He knew instantly.

Jake and Neytiri finished the others off. Bullets fired. Arrows flew. Neteyam grabbed his sister's arm and the two of them fled upon Jake's orders. But Etëyna kept on looking back, making sure her other siblings were safe. Neytiri was dragging Kiri by her bound wrists. Lo'ak was carrying Tuk, ducking from flying bullets.

"DON'T LOOK BACK!" Neteyam yelled at her, squeezing her blood-stained hand. "THEY'RE SAFE. KEEP RUNNING."

Etëyna didn't realize the crimes she's committed, hadn't had a moment to think straight, until her family stopped running, hiding in the forest as a helicopter took Quaritch away with Spider.

Jake was hugging his sons, relieved that they were alive and unharmed. But then his eyes found his daughter's, and he watched as the realization dawned on her. As she lifted her palms and saw the blood that covered them.

It was her first kill.

She'd killed six men.

Her hands began to tremble, face transfixed in shock.

"Etëyna," Jake whispered, releasing his sons.

She was repulsed by herself, by the rage that overcame her. "What have I done?" she mumbled, mouth drying, stomach churning. Tears welled in her eyes. "What have I done?"

Jake caught her before Etëyna could collapse, holding her trembling body as she sobbed.

"You acted on instincts," Jake tried to reassure, stroking her braids. "You were protecting your siblings."

Etëyna's voice broke. "I'm a monster..."

Etëyna's greatest weakness was her empathy. Her heart, however valiant it might be, was too big for her chest. She carried kindness in her eyes, generosity at her fingertips, and love in her words. It was both a blessing and a curse, to feel so deeply.

But when she was angry, that kindness turned cold, that generosity turned hostile, that love turned bitter. Etëyna might be sunlight but she was also thunder. She was a walking nightmare with her mother's eyes and her father's heart.

She could wear a smile like a loaded gun.

btw if you ever feel like the tweels wouldn't like you because of their whole "we only like people for entertainment" thing don't worry. you like them. who else does? you want to spend quality time with them. you listen to what they have to say. you take care of them. you don't run away at the sight of them, you run towards them. you tell them all the little details about your day and laugh with them. you make them laugh. you want to hold their hands and give them kisses. you want to dance with floyd. you want to listen to jade. you look them straight in the eye and smile so sweetly at them. you actively seek them out. you give floyd space when he needs it and come to him with hugs when he's ready to talk. you let jade rest on your shoulder after a long day at the mostro lounge. you trust them completely.

you place your pretty little heart in their hands.

you see them as someone worth loving. nothing is more fascinating than that.
