Combined Beings (viii)

Jimin had stayed up.

He couldn’t go to sleep. He didn’t have the chance to do so when you were softly snoring here and there on the other line, making him realize some things.

He caught himself smiling when he heard you mumble incoherent things, letting him know you do talk in your sleep. But, he felt scared once he felt comfort at the fact you were there and he felt scared once his heart sped up at the sound of your breathing.

He couldn’t stop thinking about you. Not when his stomach hurt at the feeling of you ignoring him. It didn’t last very long since you had just ignored him for a few hours, but they felt like years to him. He definitely knew what this meant and it scared him.

“I don’t know what to wear. It’s so scary.”

“Flower, you’ll be fine,” Jimin chuckled on the other side of the phone, finding your ranting adorable since you were obviously nervous about going to lunch with the other men you haven’t properly met. “Trust me. After all, Yoongi is going to be there, too, so you’ll be familiar with another person.”

“I’ve never talked to Mr. Jung and Mr. Kim,” you breathed out, becoming insecure when you saw the way your stomach looked in a tight shirt you swore fit you not so long ago. “Mr. Kim looks scary. He scares me the most.”

“Namjoon said to call both of them by their names, flower,” Jimin softly reminded you, walking towards the car awaiting for him in front of his shared house with the others, phone held against his ear. “He basically threatened to make you feel bad by buying you more stuff.”

“Oh, God,” you sighed, shaking your head. “Is he always like that?”

“He spoils all of us so, just expect him to also do that to you since you have become a bit closer to me,” Jimin smiled as he heard your small groan, clearly not satisfied with hearing about being spoiled. “Just let him. It’s his love language.”

“Are we going somewhere fancy by the way?” You asked, remembering that you hadn’t asked. You eyed the clothes in front of you and he stayed quiet before humming.

“It’s a bit fancy,” he responded and you heard the door closing behind him. “You are going to be introduced to my own restaurant.”

“You have a restaurant, too?”

He chuckled at your surprised tone, grabbing his phone with one hand while the other was placed on top of his thigh, twirling a ring of his between his fingers.

“Yes, I do,” he answered, hearing you huff on the other end, clearly dealing with something while listening to him. “Taehyung and I both decided to do so. It seemed the easiest for us to handle. But, I’m on my way, okay? I’ll be there in a few.”

“Do I wait for you outside or are you gonna come up here?” You asked, rushing to put on another pair of pants.

“I’ll call you, okay?” Jimin hummed, smiling at the way he could hear you murmuring to yourself before you gave him a breathless ‘okay.’ “I don’t want you to be outside for too long. Crimes are going up near your neighborhood so I’d rather you be safe… inside.”

“Really?” You questioned, eyebrows furrowing. “I didn’t know that. Huh… That’s why I heard someone trying to open my door.”

“I-” Jimin’s mind immediately ran with intense thoughts, even at hearing your nonchalant response. “Y/n-”

“You know, there’s been a bit of gunshots lately, too, it’s crazy,” you continued, clearly not as phased as he was and not knowing how your words were worrying him even more about your safety. “But, I can defend myself.”

“We’ll talk more about this when I get there, okay?” Jimin heard you hum now and he let out a sigh. “I’ll get there quickly. I’ll see you, flower.”

He waited for you to say bye and hung up. He dropped his phone next to him and sighed, fidgeting with his bottom lip with his fingers. He really needed you to be safe. What if he offered to buy you a new place? Get you security? What if he put more security in your home? He couldn’t hide the fact it bothered him that you acted nonchalant about someone possibly breaking into your house. Has it happened more than once? It probably has.

Something bad could’ve happened to you and he had to do something about it even if you argued.

Before he could think any further, the car stopped right in front of your house. He noticed the area and got out, buttoning his blazer while walking towards your door. He knocked.

“I thought you were going to call me,” you chuckled as soon as you saw his figure looming over yours. He slightly smiled and looked over his shoulder, making sure his guards were guarding his back. He eyed a man on the house next to yours who was watering his plants, glaring at him almost immediately that caused the man to look away.

“I was but,” he turned to look back at you, smiling, “I couldn’t help but want to see you fast.” You smiled at his words and grabbed your things before closing the door behind you. You eyed the doorknob.

“I need to get a new one again,” you breathed out, shaking your head as you locked your door. Jimin eyed it and saw the object wobbling out of its place and he held in his sigh, tightly smiling when you turned to look at him. “I am starving.”

“Be careful,” Jimin mumbled, placing a hand on the middle of your back, making sure you didn’t stumble over a crack on the floor. He continued to glare at the man watering his garden until the man became uncomfortable and walked away. “You look beautiful, flower.”

“Thank you, Jimin,” you ignored the way your heart hammered against your chest at hearing the compliment escape his lips. You hoped your face wasn’t betraying you by showing him what you were feeling. Thankfully, he didn’t notice when he opened the door for you.

You went in and he continued to look around the neighborhood, eyeing people and making a mental note in his head to have his security do background checks on everyone to make sure you were safe.

“The restaurant isn’t that far from here,” Jimin broke out of his thoughts as he spoke, turning to look at you as you looked out the window. “From now on, one of my guards is taking you home.”

“I-” You immediately shook your head. “No, no, no. I’m okay. There’s no need for that.”

“There is if your doorknob is broken because someone tried getting in,” Jimin pointed out, arching an eyebrow. You sighed and turned your face to look out the window, knowing that if you agreed, you’d feel like complete shit for wasting his and his guards time for something not even important. You felt his hand on your cheek and felt him turn it around so you could see him. You did. He later moved on to grab onto your hands. “Listen, I don’t mind and neither do my guards because they’re getting paid regardless. I want you to be safe in your home.”

“I don’t like this,” you mumbled, a frown on your face. He chuckled and continued to hold your hands against his.

“I know you don’t but I do,” Jimin smiled at you. “It’s for your safety. I don’t want you to be in danger. What if they manage to get inside? Would you be able to hear? Would you be able to reach for a weapon?”

“I have a taser,” you smiled proudly and he snorted softly. “I don’t want you to worry, Jimin. I’m okay.”

“At least let me set up a security system in your home,” he said and you thought about it, knowing that he won’t back down. He seems pretty persistent to get you to be safe and sound in the depths of your home so, you nodded. “Okay, then. I thought I was going to have to get on my knees and beg.”

“Shut up,” you slapped his shoulder and he laughed before settling on grabbing your hand. You tried to pretend like you were going to get rid of a strand of hair with the hand he held, but he held it by his thigh, your entire hand engulfed in both hands. The way his hands felt against yours, the way they felt so cold and soft, it had more of an effect on you than he knew.

“We’re here, sir,” the driver spoke after a few and Jimin hummed, thanking him once he opened the door for him. The driver stepped back once Jimin did so, holding the door for you. He grabbed your hand and guided you towards his restaurant, making you eye the designs once you went inside.

Still holding your hand, he guided you towards the back, ignoring the way people looked at you two as you walked past their tables. It was obvious he was in charge with the fact that he was the only one dressed up in a black suit and was surrounded with bodyguards. You could only try to ignore the looks you received, too.

“There you are,” Namjoon stood up, smiling as he saw you two. He eyed your hands intertwined together and you pulled away. Though, he didn’t seem to mind as he hugged you. “It’s nice to see you again, y/n.”

“It’s nice to see you, too, Mr.-” He backed away and arched an eyebrow, causing you to sigh and smile at him. “It’s nice to see you, too, Namjoon.”

“Much better,” he lowly chuckled before he let Hoseok and Yoongi greet you, turning to look at Jimin as the other two hugged you very tightly. “What was that?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jimin waved him off and Namjoon shook his head, small laughter escaping his lips. “What?”

“You like her,” Namjoon admitted. Jimin gave him a perplexed look. As he opened his mouth, Namjoon raised his hand, stopping him. “Yeah, yeah, she’s your friend. But… you’re lying to yourself.”

“Shut up…” Jimin mumbled, eyeing your figure as you spoke to Yoongi, who, surprisingly, is talking to you much more than Hoseok.

“How did you found out?” Namjoon spoke in a whisper, eyes meeting his. Jimin pursed his lips.

“I found out last night,” he replied. “When we were on call. I couldn’t sleep so I called her, she stayed on call with me the entire night. I thought about her the entire time as I heard her snores, which are adorable by the way, and I just… I couldn’t ignore them. Not anymore. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apologize,” Namjoon placed a hand on his shoulder. “Just know, if she does like you, she will not let you know since you have all 6 of us. But, I’m willing for all of us to get to know her well and get to know her like you do. There’s obviously something special about her.”

“There is,” Jimin nodded, smiling as he saw you bond so well with Yoongi and Hoseok. “It’s just… the way she makes me feel… I don’t know how to explain it. She feels comfortable, in a way. Like she’s been part of my life for so long just like you guys.”

Namjoon continued to chuckle at his words. “You are down bad, Jimin.”

He walked away and Jimin was left with his mouth agape at his boyfriend’s words, clearly not expecting him to say that. You looked at him confused and headed towards him, softly touching his arm.

“Are you okay?” You frowned at him, eyeing his expression. He shook his head, snapping himself out of his shock and smiled at you.

“I’m okay, flower,” he said before standing aside to let you slide into the booth. You did so, grabbing onto the menu in front of you that Yoongi had told you he had placed there since he and the others know what food to get.

As you ordered, you noticed the waiter fidgeting, clearly as nervous as the other waiter you had met in Taehyung’s restaurant. You wondered why but, you hadn’t noticed the glares the boys were giving him, making sure that you were heard.

“And that’ll be all, thank you,” you smiled at the shaking man, though, you hoped that by being even more kind you’ll be able to calm down his very anxious emotions. “Are you okay, by the way?”

“I’ll get to your orders straight away,” the waiter ignored your question and you slumped against your chair, expecting him to ignore you but choosing to believe he won’t. Jimin eyed your figure and he turned to look at his worker.

“Grab him,” he told his guards without looking at them. Yoongi distracted you by making you taste a drink of his, which later had him chuckling when you made a face at tasting the strong alcoholic drink. The waiter appeared again, shaking just as much as before. “Flower asked you a question.”

“Sorry,” the waiter bowed down. You shook your head rapidly.

“No, no, no, it’s okay,” you reassured him. You glanced at Jimin who looked at the man with a straightforward expression, not feeling sympathy. “I was just making sure you were okay.”

“I’m okay,” the waiter answered and he made eye contact with you, a small smile widening on his lips. “Just getting used to talking to more people since I’m not very… social.”

“Oh, I totally understand,” you smiled at the shaken man and waved off his attitude from before. “You’re doing great! Do not worry.”

“Thank you!” The man enthusiastically let out because although he was anxious by the way Jimin and the others glared at him, he was also anxious since it was his first week and he was getting used to socializing. “I’ll bring you your order in a few. Thank you for your patience.”

He walked and when he was out of ear-shot, you turned to look at Jimin with a serious expression. “What was that?”

“What was what?” Jimin shrugged, pretending not to know what you were referring to. You squinted your eyes at him before turning to look at the others, too.

“Stop scaring waiters away,” you scolded them, earning abused looks from them all. “You are scaring them so much they’re shaking.”

“Flower, they need to listen—”

“Nope,” you shook your head and Jimin smiled, resting the side of his face on his propped up hand. “All of you need to stop scaring the poor waiters. I do not care if they listen or not. Let them do their work. Got it?” They all nodded. “Good.”

“That was the cutest thing ever,” Hoseok chuckled, eyeing your face. You simply gave him a look. “You are so adorable. I need to give you a nickname, too.”

“Jimin picked a good name,” Namjoon sighed, feigning a sad expression. “Flower is so pretty.”

“I call dibs on angel,” Hoseok called out, making your face feel warm at the name. Jimin smiled as he sipped his drink, watching your reactions.

Yoongi hummed. “That’s a good one. I’ll call her that, too.”

They all turned to look at Namjoon and you strayed your sight away from them all, not used to so many compliments from such beautiful men. You felt yourself such a lucky person and you wondered what you had done in your previous life to deserve them.

“You’re beautiful, y/n,” Namjoon admitted after a moment of silence. You looked at him and he was already staring at you. “It’s not something new to any of us, we see your beauty. Jimin sees it.” You turned to look at said man and he was hiding his smirk behind the cup he was drinking from. “I’d like to call you either beauty or beautiful.”

“You guys are too much,” you mumbled, placing a hand on your cheek, trying your hardest to get rid of the warmth. Jimin chuckled from beside you.

“Use my hands,” he offered, passing you his ring cladded hand that was indeed cold. You slapped it away softly, receiving another sound of laughter from him.

It didn’t take long before you all spoke and you learned a lot.

Namjoon owned a bookstore in a café shop and he showed you pictures of it. You had to do a double take when you saw the garden that he had created, allowing the customers to enjoy their beverage and book(s) surrounded with nature. He seemed more than just your boss and you wished you had known him since he enjoyed nature and museums very much. He had such a calm soul.

Yoongi had talked about his music shop. Allowing kids, teenagers, and young adults to have a safe space to create their own piece of work. He had told you a story about his past and the hardships he had gone through to get where he was, and you made sure he was comfortable enough to share. He really had a successful business which allowed him to form bonds with some teens he saw himself in. He looked very touched when he told you some stories.

Hoseok had a dance studio. It was open to those who couldn’t afford dance lessons and it allowed him to be able to also form friendships with dancers he danced with on an occasion. He seemed very enthusiastic to share about his life, talking to you about his past insecurities that he had overcome by slowly allowing himself to be loved and letting himself know he is worthy of the love he gets. He also inspired you when he let you know it’s not an easy path to loving yourself, but it’s easy to know and understand the walls you are building around yourself that prevents you from doing so.

Jimin stayed quiet the entire time. He just watched you. He watched you and the way your lips moved as you talked. His eyes traveled to your lips to your eyes, to the way your lashes fluttered against your cheek, to the way you smiled, to the way you placed a strand of hair behind your ear here and there. He couldn’t stop staring at you.

Jimin wasn’t one to fall first. The others fell for him and he fell after, allowing himself to be loved. But here he was, falling harder than ever. He knew they didn’t have an issue when one fell for another person, they were all secure. They would try their hardest to bond with that person, too, but if they couldn’t do so, then the feelings went away as quick as they came, and Jimin saw the way the talked to you was them successfully bonding with you.

“Mind if we join you?”

You all looked at the person who spoke and eyed Jin, Taehyung, and Jungkook standing by your table. You gulped and turned to look at Jimin once you felt Jin’s stare on you.

“Hey,” you whispered to him. Jimin looked at you. “If you want, I’ll go home so you can spend time with them.”

Jimin saw the way Jin looked at you and sighed before shaking his head, placing a hand on your thigh. “Stay. You’re not bothering anyone.”

“I don’t want to make Mr. Kim uncomfortable,” you mumbled, fidgeting on your seat, smiling when Taehyung enthusiastically moved to sit next to you, receiving an annoyed nudge by Jungkook who had wanted to be with you.

“It’s okay, flower. If he talks bad, I’ll take you home.”

“No, I’ll order a ride,” you shook your head, dismissing his gesture and he softly glared at you, not liking how you dismissed your safety.

“I’ll take you.”

Now, Jimin had been avoiding Jin since he had gotten home after the whole situation with you in his office. He wasn’t too happy about the way Jin treated you and made you and him look like liars in front of the guys. He also wasn’t happy at all when Jin made it seem like you were after their money.

“I didn’t expect to see you here,” Jin spoke, catching your attention as he stared at you, receiving drinks quickly along with Jungkook and Taehyung. Everyone quieted down and Taehyung stood straighter beside you. “I’m surprised to see you’d show your face.”

“I’m not a liar like you made me seem so I have no reason to hide,” you shrugged, not daring to look at him as you eyed the way they all looked between you. Jimin had thankfully kept his hand on your thigh, allowing you to play with some fidget rings he had on.

“Hmm,” Jin simply hummed, watching you.

“Stop it,” Namjoon nudged him, raising his eyebrows. “What did we talk about?”

Jin inhaled through his nose. “I’ll try to get to know her but don’t think I’ll like it a bit.”

“Yeah, right.”

Everyone continued to converse, but you stayed quiet along with Jin. You two would speak once in a while when the others would ask questions, but it didn’t take long before both of you went back to staying quiet.

Jimin was tired of it and the way you and Jin immediately quieted down around each other’s presence. He didn’t blame you but, he felt bad when he saw how you were now so quiet when you were just conversing not so long ago.

“I was talking to y/n earlier,” he started, clearing his throat, and everyone turned to look at him, even you, “because someone here could’ve been in danger.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you looked away, taking a sip of your drink. Jimin playfully rolled his eyes.

“Y/n heard someone trying to break in,” everyone now looked at you, “again. I saw the doorknob was broken and out of place. Crimes are rising in her neighborhood.”

“Have you tried moving out?” Namjoon raised an eyebrow at you and you glanced at him.

“I just moved into that new place recently,” you answered. “And I told Jimin not to worry about it. I can defend myself.”

“I don’t doubt it,” Yoongi spoke, “but sometimes things like that can come unexpected and you won’t be able to react in time. Maybe we’ll give you security?”

“I’m okay,” you waved it off before Jimin stared at you with an intense look on his face. You sighed as you remembered your conversation. “Jimin wants to set up a security system.”

“I agree with that,” Taehyung spoke from beside you. Everyone else agreed and they all turned to eye Jin who hadn’t spoken, yet. You didn’t care, though, and played with the ice in your cup.

“It seems better to do that,” Jin shrugged and your head snapped to stare at him. He didn’t meet your eye. “It’s very dangerous that you live by yourself and were almost broken into. The worst thing that can happen is you can get killed.”

“One of us is dropping you off after work,” Jungkook said, making you pinch the bridge of your nose, not liking the way they were wasting time making sure you were safe. You could handle it. Maybe… “I’m being serious, y/n. It’s not safe to go home safe and letting bad people see you live by yourself. Got it?”

“Alright, alright, I got it.”

It didn’t take long before the conversation changed. You and Jin weren’t talking but, you both kept looking up once in a while and made eye contact that had you two immediately look away. It was happening every time you looked up as if he could sense when you would do so.

Before you knew it, it was night and Jimin and Jungkook offered to take you home. It wasn’t long before Taehyung piped in and begged to be taken with you three. You quickly said yes once you saw a pout on his lips.

“I’ll talk to Jin,” Jimin told you, sighing, hand holding onto yours. You hadn’t processed the fact that Taehyung was holding the other tightly against his large hands, playing with your fingers. “And you better call me if anything, I mean if anything, happens, okay?”

You nodded. “I got it.”

Jimin dropped you off at home and left, advising a guard of his to stay behind to watch your house a little longer so you could feel and be safe. You didn’t need to know that information.

“You have to get to know her,” Jimin immediately said as soon as he entered Jin’s office. “You have to get to know her. We all know her.”

“And you all like her,” Jin pointed out. Jimin groaned and sat in front of him. “I don’t mind but, she’s just… it’s just… it’s annoying!”

“It’s fine to find her attractive,” Jimin noted out. “She is attractive and gorgeous. You can’t lie about that to yourself.”

“Listen, I’m sorry for how I reacted,” Jin ignored his comments, withholding eye contact. “It wasn’t right of me to react the way I did.”

“You don’t need to apologize to me,” Jimin said. “You need to apologize to y/n for making it seem like she wanted someone to hurt her for money. I had been watching everything and Iseul was at fault. We can’t excuse her actions simply because her father is our our business partner.”

Jin thought about it and slumped against his chair. “How about this?” Jimin hummed. “I’ll eat alone with her, tomorrow or whenever she’s free, okay? I’ll apologize to her, but I feel like she’ll be more comfortable if you’re there.”

“I was going to be there whether you liked it or not,” Jimin grinned before giving Jin a kiss. “Thank you. You’ll love her once you get to know her. I promise you.”

“We’ll see. I’ll make it up to you tomorrow by bringing you breakfast in bed, deal?”

“Breakfast in bed for two weeks. Then it’s a deal.”

“Fine, deal. Tell Y/n we’ll pick her up after work.”

So he calls you flower? I call that him being in love with you.”

You sighed at Ari’s words and shook your head. “Yeah, right.” You stuck the fork of food in your mouth, thinking about Jimin’s words. “Hey, did you know that he and the other bosses are dating?”

Ari and Eunji glanced at one another before turning to look at you with raised eyebrows. You gulped your food and mouthed a small ‘what?’, intimidated by their expressions.

“Y/n, it’s well known,” Ari answered, chuckling under her breath. “They are seen holding hands, together in every event, kissing, whatever. Their relationship is not so… hidden. It’s no secret.”

“I feel like I should keep up since all of you, except me, knew about that,” you breathed out, thanking the waiter for the quick refill they brought you. “I don’t know, it’s so… questionable why out of everyone, Mr. Park chose to talk to me.”

“You’re kind, y/n,” Eunji started. “You have a kind heart, it’s no surprise to me or to Ari. I think him forming a friendship with you and feeling so comfortable is nice. He and the others tend to… self-isolate themselves and aren’t as kind as they were to you.”

“I agree,” Ari nodded her head rapidly. “My cousin met them once and they just watched as she fell on her own. They literally walked past her. She was made fun of.”

“Poor her,” you winced at feeling the second-hand embarrassment, visualizing the situation. “Is she doing okay now?”

“Yeah, she’s fine now,” Ari replied, “after deleting all her social media. She was ridiculed.”

“There was a rumor, well, not exactly a rumor but,” Eunji immediately let out, remembering the situation that had happened. You and Ari stared at her as she continued, “supposedly, they got into a relationship with an older worker, but the worker left them for another person. She was fired from our division.”

“She was a worker in our division?” You gaped at your supervisor, shocked at the revelation. “I didn’t know that.”

“Me neither,” Ari said.

“It’s just within the supervisors,” Eunji explained, just as interested in the rumor as if she’s just hearing about it. “But, that’s why the bosses stopped interacting with us all and why supervisors are the only ones allowed to take up the documents.”

“How did that rumor even come to existence?”

“Well, Hana, the supervisor of the first division,” you three leaned in closer, “she noted that one of my workers was always seen in Mr. Jeon’s office. I got worried because I have never sent her up there but, I figured she had a complaint or just… something. I tried justifying her actions. I started noticing her slacking on work, getting to work late, and I told her she needed to stop getting her personal life get in the way of her work. Well, I got a complaint and I went to Mr. Kim, the eldest one, and he just told me not to get into their workers life.”

“What a jerk,” Ari scoffed, “and she’s such a bitch! You didn’t even do anything.”

“I thought so, too!” Eunji exclaimed, her head shaking side to side. “But, Mr. Kim thought I was getting into the employee’s lives. I was simply telling her to separate her personal and professional issues from one another because she wasn’t doing any work. At all.”

“It seems like this wasn’t even a rumor,” Ari frowned, processing the news just like you were. “What happened next?”

“I almost got fired but, Mr. Park came in and said they needed to talk so, I had to leave,” Eunji continued. “After that day, she was fired and in an hour, her desk was gone and no trace of her.”

“Do you think she had a thing with them?” You asked, your chin resting on your propped up arms.

“Definitely,” Eunji nodded, taking a sip of her beverage. “It wasn’t unusual and she and I were the only ones who knew what I had said. I never told any other worker what I told her or butt into their lives because they all did their work.”

“Was she there when we first joined?”

“No,” Eunji responded, “she was there a couple months prior to you two. As soon as I hired you, she was already gone.” She turned to look at you. “If anything is to happen between you and them all, don’t lose yourself like she did. I’m your friend, yes, but don’t start giving up on everything else because of your relationship.”

You chuckled at your friend’s words. “I will never, Eunji. But don’t worry, nothing will happen.”

“Mhm, sure, flower,” you playfully rolled your eyes at hearing Ari’s teasing tone. “I still find that name cute. But, hey, how were the other bosses?”

“Oh, God,” you breathed out, exhaling from your mouth. “They’re all so… ethereal. Literally.” Your friends laughed at you. “I’m not even kidding. I met all of them, Namjoon, Taehyung, Jungkook, Hoseok, Jimin, and Yoongi. I haven’t meet the other one.”

“Ah, Jin,” Eunji commented. “Yeah, he doesn’t show his face a lot. He’s the scariest out of all of them in my opinion. Probably has to do with him being the eldest.”

“Well, I met him and such but he wasn’t… entirely too happy to see me with Jimin,” you explained, recounting what had happened. “I didn’t exactly think much of it. I thought maybe he was just trying to be professional or something.”

“Yeah, or something,” Eunji gulped down the rest of the food before leaning back against her chai, thinking. “Does Mr. Park know about Iseul?”

“He wants to catch her in the act,” you answered. “I told him about Ari and we took pictures of her wound but, we didn’t catch her doing it.”

“And whoever saw is afraid of her so, no witnesses,” Ari shook her head out of annoyance, pinching the bridge of her nose. “I don’t believe in violence—”

“Yes you do.”

“—but, I want to punch her.”

“I think half of us want to do that,” Eunji agreed, letting a sigh escape her lips. “But, in the meantime, let’s hope that she doesn’t bother us as much. Her mom already called me saying she’ll have me fired, I can’t do much.”

“Her mom needs to mind her own business,” Ari huffed, clearly just as irritated as you at hearing the news. “At her old age and she’s staring drama because her daughter is rude.”

“Let’s just hope she gets caught.”

After dinner with your friends, you headed home, not too excited to go to work tomorrow. You also thought about getting a pet, it was getting lonely coming back to your apartment with no one eager to greet you.

But as you wandered to sleep after a long shower, you could only think about Jimin’s face and the way he would get close to you.

Heading to work, you immediately sat on your chair by your desk, avoiding Iseul as best as you could. You ignored the other group of men and women whispering amongst themselves, glancing at you while they laughed.

Now, you looked down at your clothes and judged yourself even more.

“Y/n,” Eunji headed towards. “Mr. Park called me. He said you didn’t go up like you usually do.”

“I’m going, I’m going.”

You did your usual routine going up and the elevators opened to reveal a young woman by Binna’s desk, saddening you that your new friend has now gone on maternity leave.

“Yes?” The woman asked you, looking you up and down and you wondered if the outfit you wore (a black blouse, with black high waisted trousers, heels, and a belt) was a bad decision.

“I’m here to see Mr. Park,” you told her, watching as she typed away on the computer before glancing at you and looking at the screen.

“I don’t see him having something planned right now,” she said. “I’m sorry but if there’s nothing that indicates Mr. Park has an appointment with you then I can’t see you let him.”

You nodded out of understanding. “Can’t you call him and ask him?” She made a very fake pity expression, her eyebrows furrowing as she shook her head.

“I’m sorry, but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind you making another appointment,” she smiled at you and you sighed, nodding. You can deal with not seeing him for a day.

“Okay then, just let him—”

“Y/n.”

You looked to the side and saw Jungkook coming out of Jimin’s office, putting on his blazer over the black button up he had on.

“Mr. Jeon,” you bowed to him and he did the same, his eyes raking themselves over your body figure and the way you looked so beautiful. “Uh, can you let Jimin know I’ll see him when he writes me down?”

“You don’t need an appointment,” Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows before glaring at the new worker. “Y/n is allowed to walk in.”

“Sorry, sir.”

“Um, thank you, though,” you thanked her as Jungkook turned around, the glare the new assistant had thrown at you only seen by you. You shook your head. People really didn’t like you.

“There you are.”

You looked up to see Jimin sighing in relief at the sight of you, thanking Jungkook who had opened the door for you.

“Sorry, I forgot that I needed to come here,” you softly defended yourself. “But, I’m here now.”

“Let your assistant know that she doesn’t need an appointment to see you,” Jungkook said with his usual deadpanned expression. “If I wouldn’t have come out, you wouldn’t have seen her in days.”

“I’ll let her know,” Jimin nodded before he watched Jungkook make way to the couch, even though he had been told by the man that he was to leave because of a meeting. He sighed and turned to look at you, his fingers finding their usual place to your arms.

He raised your sleeves, the cool feeling of his rings against your skin sending shivers down your arms, raising goosebumps. He chuckled at seeing the effect.

“Has Iseul been bothering you?” Jungkook spoke from his space, not glancing at you in any way. Jimin stared at you, clearly just as interested.

“Well, it’s only the beginning of the day,” you shrugged, flinching a little when Jimin peeled off the new bandaid you had put on. You had accidentally scabbed at the wound and it started to bleed when you had been brushing your teeth.

“Did you pick at it?” He asked, scoffing under his breath as he looked back at you. You puffed your cheeks and shook your head, clearly lying. “Flower, I don’t tolerate lying.”

“Flower?” Jungkook’s head perked up at the nickname. Jimin rolled his eyes. “Hmm, that name suits you.”

“I know, I came up with it,” Jimin said, not looking at the youngest and you looked back and forth between them, watching Jimin place a new bandaid on top of the wound.

“Not you, Jimin,” you looked at Jungkook as he stared at you before looking away, clearing his throat. You watched as he took off his blazer, raising up the sleeves of his button up and then did you realize you were matching with him. Well, with he and Jimin.

“Oh, by the way,” Jimin started, taking a step back to sit on the edge of his desk, “Yoongi and Taehyung invited you to have lunch with them.”

You looked down at your bandaid, believing that Jimin had been talking to Jungkook. But Jungkook calling out for you made you make eye-contact with Jimin, who had an eyebrow raised.

“With me?” You frowned, pointing to yourself. Jimin chuckled.

“They both want to get to know you,” he explained, a smile spreading on his lips. “They told me so yesterday.”

They, in fact, did tell him yesterday.

It was late at night, around 3:33 AM. Taehyung, Yoongi, and Jimin were in the metallic basement of theirs, two men sitting in front of them, beaten down.

“Hey,” Taehyung punched a man on the face, “do you think you can tell Y/n if it’s okay that she has lunch with me? I want to get to know her.”

“If she wants,” Jimin nodded. “I have to ask her but she’s very shy so, I might come with you.”

“I want to go, too,” Yoongi piped in after beating up the other man to a pulp, his face unrecognizable after he got punched and kicked repeatedly. “Free food and all.”

Jimin and Taehyung glanced at one another before Jimin squinted his eyes at the older man, nodding slowly. “Uhuh… whatever you say.”

So after that talk, Jimin knew that you would either say no or yes because you felt like you had to. He knew how nervous you get.

“Um, I don’t know them that well,” your brows furrowed together. “I feel nervous.”

“I’ll be there, don’t worry,” Jimin reassured you, his hand grabbing yours. Jungkook watched you. “If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. But expect Taehyung to bother you about it during work.”

“Uh, never mind, I’ll go if you’re there,” you smiled a bit awkwardly before turning to look at Jungkook. “Will you join as well?”

The way your eyes looked at him made his stomach flutter and his fingers itched to squish your cheeks. He blamed it on Jimin for always talking about you.

“If it’s tomorrow, I can’t,” Jungkook replied, staring at his watch. “I have a meeting soon and then tomorrow… I’m packed until the afternoon.”

“That sucks,” you mumbled, trying hard to look away from his tattooed arm. You did so after a while, ignoring Jimin’s smirk while Jungkook tried to hide the smile threatening to spread on his lips. “I’m sure the guys will save you food.”

“We’ll just change it to dinner,” Jimin spoke up. “It will be better for you,” he stared right at you, “to not worry about coming back from work late. Eunji will have my ass if I have one of her workers come back late.”

You thought back about what Eunji had mentioned yesterday. The woman that had been seeing them.

“If it’s for dinner, I’m down to go,” Jungkook shrugged. “I’m done by the time everyone leaves.”

“Then it’s set, tomorrow, when you come up here, we’ll leave from then. Is that okay?” Jimin now made sure his attention was on you, thinking that if he hadn’t, you would’ve believed the question wasn’t aimed at you. You nodded. “On the other hand, come back later. If Iseul is causing issues, have a witness and I’ll make sure that it’s enough to have her out, okay?”

“Okay,” you breathed out before looking at the time on the clock. “Crap, I’m late. It’s your fault.”

“I’m pretty much innocent here,” Jimin raised his hand and you softly glared at him, turning around to leave in a hurry. You hurried towards the elevator, immediately pressing on the button to your work floor, scolding yourself for taking too long.

Making it to the floor, you hurried towards Eunji.

“I am not to blame for my lateness,” you rushed out. She looked at you. “Blame Jimin. It’s his fault.”

She chuckled and nodded.

“I’ll call him and scold him.”

“What do you want, Nabi?”

Jungkook kept his composure as he stared at the woman in front of him smiling at him. He wanted to grab his gun from behind, shoot her so he won’t see her face ever again, but he had to keep you safe. He had to keep you away from Nabi’s eyesight and words because she will try to belittle you.

“Hey,” she tilted her head to the side as she looked you up and down and Jungkook stood in her way, making her stare at him with amusement, “I’m Nabi.”

“Do not talk to her,” Jungkook snapped and Nabi rolled her eyes, sitting down in front of you two. She glanced at Jungkook.

“Are you going to sit down or not?”

You watched as Jungkook’s hand reached behind him and saw the gun under the light of his office he was going to reach. You grabbed his free hand that was formed into a fist, making him stare back at you. His eyes softened at remembering he and the others promised not to display violence in front of you. He knew he had to keep everything in him in order for you to be safe. You had to be safe.

Nabi watched the interaction. She couldn’t help but feel annoyed at how he was protecting you, his hand finding its way to your thigh. She hurt them, wounded them, so why were they getting closer to you? Did she not leave much of an impact on them?

“I’m surprised you got access to get in,” Jungkook said, his tone calm as he gripped your thigh. You softly cleared your throat as you watched Nabi and the way she eyed you. “What are you doing here?”

“I just wanted to visit,” the woman answered, hiding her feelings behind her lies. She turned to look at you again. “What’s your name?”

“Do not speak to her,” Jungkook sternly said and you glanced between them, knowing it was best to stay quiet unless the boys told you it was fine. You didn’t know what type of person Nabi was, they knew her better. “I’m not kidding, Nabi.”

“I’m not going to do anything, Jungkook,” she rolled her eyes. “Relax.” She looked at you again and Jungkook scoffed. “What’s your name?”

You turned to look at Jungkook and he nodded. “My name’s Y/n.”

“Are you a worker here?” She asked and Jungkook glared at her, a deadpan expression on his face to showcase that he wasn’t kidding about how he was feeling about her talking to you. She smiled in a mocking way. “It’s very cute how they protect you. Are you sleeping with them?”

You noted the way she kept smiling, dragging out words that were clearly lies. She was such a beautiful girl and if she wasn’t such a bad person, you wished you had her as a friend. In the meantime, you could only show her that her words weren’t affecting you. You couldn’t show her that you were being affected by her words and will be affected if she speaks more.

“I’m not,” you smiled a little at her, placing a hand on top of Jungkook’s own so he could grip it instead of the skin of your thigh. But, he had his own thoughts as he continued gripping the flesh, hard enough for him to feel and soft enough for you to not be hurt. “I’m simply someone that got to know them.”

“Well, honey,” she got closer as if she were going to tell you a secret, “be careful. If you work for them and they find you attractive, they’ll sleep with you and try to fire you later when they’re done using you.”

Jungkook’s fingers shook as Nabi continued to speak, clearly trying her hardest to affect you and affect him.

“Jimin got closer to me first,” she went on. “He took me on friendly dates that then turned into dates, he called me pet names, protected me, and when he finally asked me out, they asked me out, too. It’s crazy, huh? To withhold such power knowing that your boyfriends, who are CEOs of the biggest company, can make anyone disappear in a flash if you ask.”

“Nabi, that’s enough,” Jungkook said, his lips then tightly pressing against one another to not let out any more words.

“I genuinely liked Jimin,” Nabi held eye-contact with you, glancing down at her freshly painted nails. “He was a good guy, a good boyfriend, but… they all started to ignore me, getting bored of me, and they will with you, too. They have one another and they have for years, they will realize soon into the relationship they don’t want you, they have enough. They’ll ignore you until you will leave.”

“Did that happen to you?” You asked and she snorted, shaking her head.

“They started ignoring me,” she answered. “I didn’t care. But, don’t let them fool you, Y/n. They’ve been in a relationship for years. They’re not gonna know how to handle a person they just met.” She eyed the way Jungkook grabbed you. “A word of advice, though, don’t let them touch you like that if you’re just their friend. That’s how they start.”

Jungkook’s hold loosened and you mentally sighed. You just fixed things with Jimin and now your overthinking was coming into play, and you knew that it will make you distance yourself.

“Get out,” Jungkook grumbled out, knowing that her words affected you. He stood up and headed towards his desk. “Get out before I call security.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Nabi waved him off and she looked at you one more time. “I’ll see you soon, Y/n. It will be nice knowing you in the future.”

“You’ll never see her again, Nabi,” Jungkook didn’t spare her a glance as he spoke, but he did arch an eyebrow once she turned her head to eye him. She rolled her eyes.

“Be careful with them,” Nabi spoke loudly as she walked away, “they have never dated anyone that has your body shape.”

The door closed behind her as she walked out and the only thing heard was yours and Jungkook’s breathing. He looked at you but your eyesight was on your fingers, fidgeting with them.

“Y/n,” he breathed out but you shook your head and smiled a little at him, hoping not to worry him too much.

“I’ll get going,” you said, standing up. He walked towards you. “I have dinner with Ari and her mom and I can’t miss that dinner. I’ve missed enough.”

“Don’t listen to her,” he mumbled, grabbing your hand. You smiled sadly at him.

“It’s hard not to, Jungkook,” you said under your breath, knowing he understood you by the look on his face. You dropped his hand and walked away, hearing him sigh.

The person who talked to you was Nabi. Nabi their ex-girlfriend. The one who hurt them. So, why were her words getting to you? Because you knew that no one would like you because of your weight? Because you knew that men in South Korea preferred those who fit the beauty standards? It’s hard when someone tells you that you can’t have what you want after your friends have told you the opposite.

“Flower, you okay?”

Too into your thoughts, you had waited until the elevator’s doors opened, waiting for your turn, that you hadn’t noticed Jimin in front of you. He stared at you with a look of concern, worried.

“Don’t worry about me,” you mumbled, keeping a smile on your face. His brows were furrowed, fully knowing your words were lies. “I have to cancel our plans. I just… I hope you understand.”

He couldn’t say much but, he watched as you kept your gaze on the floor, pressing the button to the floor you worked on, and then the doors closing right in front of his face. He turned to look at Jungkook’s assistant who looked anywhere but him.

“Who was here?” He sternly asked and the woman looked at the papers in front of her.

“A woman named Nabi.”

That’s all he needed to hear to know that something went wrong. He hurried towards Jungkook’s office, opening it, and heading inside. He closed the door behind him and saw that Jungkook was sitting by his desk, face burried in his palms.

“What happened?” Jimin questioned and Jungkook sighed loudly. “Your assistant just told me Nabi was here.”

“She was,” Jungkook said, leaning back on his chair, staring at the ceiling. “She told her all these horrible things. I couldn’t say anything. I couldn’t defend us.”

Jimin couldn’t say anything, either. But, he walked towards Jungkook and hugged him, knowing that was all he needed.

They stayed in the position they were in for 20 minutes or so, having headed towards the couch, before the door open, the others pouring in. Jin came in first, followed by Namjoon, followed by Taehyung, and followed by Yoongi and Hoseok. Jin was seething, especially by the way the tips of his ears glistened with red and the way his eyes looked everywhere for the certain figure of the woman who hurt them.

“Where’s Y/n?” Yoongi asked, remembering from Taehyung’s words that you had been taken away by Jungkook.

“She left,” Jimin said, eyeing the clock and knowing that you already left the building. “Jungkook said Nabi told her some things.”

“I told you we should’ve killed her as soon as we caught her in the act!” Jin exclaimed, running a hand over his hair before taking off his blazer. “She’s not going to let any of us, any of you, be happy with Y/n. This is a good example on why we should’ve killed her.”

“I agree with Jin,” Yoongi piped in, nodding his head along the man’s words. Hoseok hummed in agreement, too.

“I don’t have any feelings for her and she deserves it.”

“Yeah and it’s a shitty one,” Namjoon said, giving them glares. “We cannot kill her just because she did us wrong. That’s not the type of people we are.”

“She’s done worse, Namjoon,” Jin argued and he sighed. “You know what? Fine. But, this time, I’m going to talk to Y/n. You assholes need to think about this and how Nabi is going to ruin anything you all want with her.”

He walked away and everyone stared after him, silence consuming them once they realized what his words. Namjoon sighed.

“Nabi didn’t just hurt us,” he started, glancing at each one of their faces. “She stole from other people. Single mother’s, homeless people, whichever. We’ve been focusing way too much on how she’s wronged us, we didn’t realize that her actions have impacted others very harshly.”

“I’ll call who we know that if they see her to bring her to us,” Yoongi spoke, grabbing his phone before leaving the room. The others then turned to look at Namjoon again as he was going to start orders.

“In the meantime,” he said, staring at Jungkook, “what did she tell y/n?”

“She started off by saying that since she’s someone who works for us and if we find her attractive,” everyone listened to Jungkook’s words very closely, “we’ll sleep with her and try to fire her later when we’re “done using her”. She just went on a rant about how she needs to be careful letting us touch her if we’re just going to keep her a friend and even said she’ll see her in the future.”

“I want to kill her,” those words escaped from Jimin’s lips, a serious expression on his face as his chest heaved up and down to calm himself.

“This is where y/n changed,” Jungkook went on. He took a deep breath. “Nabi told her that she needs to be careful because we’ve never never dated anyone that has her body shape.”

The silence was deafening. If anyone listened too closely, they would hear a pin dropping. If anything, they could hear the emotions bubbling in each one of them, especially Jimin.

Jimin was seriously going to kill Nabi. He was going to kill her if no one stopped him right then and there and held him back. He was going to kill her. He really was.

Taehyung immediately went to grab him from behind, noticing his change of features and attitude. “You need to hold yourself, Jimin.”

“She can’t be far,” Jimin scoffed, referring to Nabi. “I need my gun.”

While the boys calmed Jimin down, Jin was on his way to your house. It took a bit of convincing from Yoongi (he made him tell him “please” and then he would get the address) but Jin successfully got it. It wasn’t that far from your house.

When he came to see the house with the right numbers, he eyed the amount of plants littered on the front. There were even some cats eating some food obviously left out for them. He walked right up the stairs, fixing the sleeves of his shirt before knocking on the wooden door.

“What are you doing here?” He turned his head to the side and saw you there, holding some plants in your hand. Your professional clothes were long gone and you were wearing some shorts and a shirt that Jungkook had left behind. His guards immediately their guns at you and you glanced at them, groaning under your breath. “I’m the owner of this house.”

Jin watched you, nodding his head at the ones taking care of his back. But, he remembered you had talked to him. “I just wanted to come by and see you.” You frowned out of confusion and nodded your head slowly.

“Well, now you saw me and you can leave,” you walked off and he stared at you with a mouth agape. He quickly followed after you. “Who even gave you my address? I specified that I didn’t want you to know.”

“Don’t worry about that,” he waved you off but he grabbed your wrist, stopping you from moving forward. “We need to talk.” You have him a deadpan look and he continued. “Jungkook mentioned that Nabi talked to you.”

“Ah, yes,” you breathed out and you continued to do your thing. You got on your knees and looked up at him. “If you expect me to answer to you, you can help me.”

He thought about it and he went with it once he knew he couldn’t catch your attention. So he too got on his knees, his pants and hands getting dirty. He helped you plant some things you needed, glancing at you once in a while once he saw you were obviously thinking about something.

“Nabi… is not a great person,” Jin started and when you looked at him, he dodged your eyes once he felt your stare. “It was true what I told you at the restaurant by the way. How it ended, I do feel sorry about that.” Now it was your turn to ignore his gaze. “You shouldn’t feel hurt by her words or whatever she told you. That’s her goal, that’s what she intends to do.”

“What hurt the most is that…” You debated whether you should be honest with him. “I’m not the standard. I’m not. I don’t normally feel insecure, but it’s just bullying after bullying as if my body shape isn’t normal to have.” He watched as you stopped what you were doing, taking a seat. “Nabi is beautiful, she is. She’s insanely beautiful and I understand why the guys fell for her, I would even fall for her.”

He chuckled lowly and nodded his head slowly. “Good to know.”

“It’s just hard,” you admitted, letting out a sigh. “Sometimes it’s hard to live here when even my own mother criticizes my own body or I can’t go somewhere by myself or a guy tries to grab my ass. I’m either sexualized or hated on. It’s hard.”

“And Nabi didn’t help?”

“I fell for Jimin,” you admitted, chuckling sarcastically as you found the situation ironic. “For everyone. Well, except you… You’ve done nothing but hurt my feelings.”

He looked at the way your cheeks heated up and he placed a hand on your arm. “You’ve done nothing but been nice to me and I apologize for hurting you when you only wanted to get to know me.” You watched as he leaned against his hands. “It’s hard taking care of 6 boys whose hearts have been broken by a girl who had just come into our relationship. It’s scary to know how easily they can get hurt by other people brought into our relationship, and it’s up to me to take care of us because I can handle heartbreak.”

“You were protecting them from me?” You asked and he hummed.

“I didn’t know your intentions, and I know it’s not a right excuse,” he snorted and continued, “but they become attached very easily. Their hearts are kind and it’s funny since, you know… what we do for work.” You chuckled at his words. “But, I needed to be there to keep them in check, to let them know that they’ve been hurt and they shouldn’t make the same mistake as before work Nabi.”

“We could’ve talked,” you whispered to him and he nodded.

“I know,” he mumbled. “But it’s hard for me to express my own emotions since I’m always so focused on the others emotions. I don’t really care for mine.”

You eyed his sensitivity and the way he couldn’t make eye contact with you. He was fidgeting with his fingers, nervous and anxious.

“It’s going to be a long road of me forgiving you,” you admitted and he nodded, “but I’m willing to start a new friendship with you.”

His head snapped towards you and a small smile tainted his lips. He took out a dirty hand and you did, too, shaking his.

“Now,” he started, looking around, “why are you planting when the sun is setting?”

You snickered. “When I get stressed or I’m just angry, I just plant. Plants are very much alive but, at least, they don’t have mouths to piss me off even more or to make me more anxious.”

“Are you the type of person to compliment them?”

“I-” You immediately sat up. “They grow more! Do not judge. If I want to call them pretty, they shall be called pretty. I will give them all the praise if they need that in order to grow.”

He chuckled at your defense. “Good to know. I’ll make sure to buy you more plants then?” You raised an eyebrow his way. “I have a lot of money, I can give you any type of plants. Just tell me which ones you want and I’ll buy them for you?”

“Are you sure?” You asked and he nodded.

“As long as we plant them together, it seems calming,” he answered and you smiled at this new him. You were just happy now he was opening up to him. “But, I also wanted to add… You’re honestly beautiful, Y/n. I’m serious. Nabi is pretty on the outside, but she’s nothing but trash in the inside. You are beautiful on the outside and inside and that’s what makes you stand out. I speak for the boys, but they’ll choose you over her any day and any time.”

You smiled a bit bigger at his words. “Thanks, Jin. But, if my feelings ever make you feel uncomfortable, I will stop hanging out with them. Just tell me the word.”

He laughed at your expression, so serious. “Y/n, I’m not worried. If anything, it would be a privilege to fall for you.”

You noted the way his gaze didn’t stray away this time you looked at him. “I promise I won’t hurt them and I won’t hurt you.” He simply looked at you and you couldn’t look away, either. You couldn’t. “Thank you for being here.”

“I will take it as long as you go to dinner with Jimin tomorrow. He’s mad at what Nabi told you.”

You smiled at his words and nodded. “I’ll call him later tonight while I make you dinner.”

“I’ll help you.”

Do I really have to wear this one?”

You eyed the new bandaid on your arm, a camouflaged pattern that alerted you Jimin simply chose it to tease you. He eyed you with a smirk and chuckled before taking another box out of the drawer of his desk.

“No,” he answered. He showed you the Hello Kitty bandaids. “I got you these. These suit you much better.”

“I mean, I don’t mind the camouflaged ones,” you shrugged, feeling bad at the way you reacted at seeing it. Jimin hummed and leaned against his desk.

“Mmm, I don’t like them,” he said. “I only want the best for you.” He smiled at you before grabbing the box of the camouflaged bandaids. “I’ll just give these to Iseul.”

You arched an eyebrow at him and he snickered. “You’re so mean.”

“Hey, she’s just as mean,” he admitted. “Look, you think I don’t know but I do. I just can’t do much since we don’t have evidence of her hurting you specifically.”

“What if she hurt another person…?” Your eyes wandered as you thought about Ari and the way Iseul grabbed her arm.

“I can take it to Namjoon,” Jimin thought about it. “We can work something along there as soon as we see what she has done. I’m just not excited to deal with her mother.”

“Ah,” you nodded at his words, “yeah, I heard she’s… a lot to handle. I don’t want to assume, though, based on rumors since I don’t know her.”

“You are so adorable,” Jimin pinched your face and you immediately tried to get away from his hold. He chuckled at your flustered state. “It’s okay to assume on rumors as long as you don’t let it affect the way you treat that person, you know? But, I can confirm she is a lot to handle.”

“How so?” You frowned, tilting your head to the side as you looked at the man.

“Iseul was mostly raised by her mother,” Jimin explained. “The two have a lot in common and Iseul never had anyone to correct her wrongs so she thinks that her mother’s ways and methods are the way to go.”

“Oh,” you let out. Of course, Iseul would have a terrible mother, too. Ari really scored having an amazing mother. “I feel bad for Iseul.”

“As much as I want to tell you that you should,” Jimin started before shaking his head, “don’t. She got told so many times by her therapist, by us, by her friends, her step-father, that her mother isn’t someone to trust.”

“Yeah, but she’s used to the only parental figure that’s been apart of her life since she was born,” you tried to reason. “Iseul would disagree. She doesn’t want to hear that someone she’s looked up to is not who they say they are. I would completely ignore everyone, too.”

“She bullies you and humiliated you yet you try to understand her life,” Jimin breathed out, staring at you from under his eyelashes. You waved him off. “As someone who personally knows her and her family, she’s done much worse than what she does to you here. Don’t excuse her actions, okay?”

You exhaled through your nose and nodded slowly. “Okay…” He hummed. “But, wait, you guys let her into this company even though you knew she has done so much worse than… bully people?”

“She’s a manipulator,” Jimin started, standing in front of you. “You see, we owed her father and giving her a job here was enough. But, she is just… a lot. She messes with your mind a bit.”

“That is totally not scary…” you internally shivered and he placed a hand on your forearm, his thumb rubbing itself over the bandaid.

“We won’t let her hurt you or anyone,” he promised, his eyes staring deep into you. “That’s why we need evidence of her hurting you or anyone so, we have an excuse to kick her out.”

“I’ll try to see what I can do,” you frowned, sighing. He smiled a bit at your expression and you jumped when the door opened. Jimin didn’t react but simply took a step back.

You two turned to look at who came and three men were standing there, staring back just as intensely. You gulped.

“Who is this?” One of them spoke and Jimin’s hands went into his pockets. He let out a sigh and he turned to look at you.

“You can go now,” he softly spoke to you, his eyes glancing at your figure back to the three men. You nodded and excused yourself, walking out of the office. The three men moved away and one kept glaring at you, closing the door behind you. “What are you three doing here?”

“Well, we sent you a message.”

“Who was that?” Jimin looked at the eyes of his partner and rolled his eyes at the tone he used.

“It was no one, Jin,” he answered, clearly not wanting to give away too much information about you. He knew Jin would immediately tried to fire you if Jimin, or if any one of them, tried to start something with you romantically.

“Is that the girl Taehyung was talking about?” Yoongi raised an eyebrow, draping his jacket over the couch. Jimin eyed the apparent wound on this arm, the blood coming out of the cut that was so small but deep.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Jimin cleared his throat, sitting back down on his chair.

“Mmm, sure,” Yoongi sarcastically let out, watching as Hoseok grabbed the medical aid box Jimin had brought out for you. “She’s exactly how Taehyung described her.”

“Taehyung forgets if he wore the same socks as the day before,” Jimin talked back and Yoongi raised an eyebrow at the way he spoke. “Look, she’s just a friend. I can’t say anything to any of you because someone,” he glanced at Jin, “will fire them.”

“I’m saving us all from being hurt,” Jin replied, giving Jimin a deadpanned expression. “You end up choosing wrong partners for us.”

“I am not choosing anyone for us,” Jimin argued back, soft enough that their voices won’t reach Binna outside. “I chose a friend. If she ends up as someone I romantically like, you all have to at least talk to her and get to know her. Even you.”

“I will never like her,” Jin glared at him, shaking his head before leaving.

Jimin sighed and looked at the others who were grabbing onto the Barbie bandaids that belonged to you. Yoongi and Hoseok stared at him.

“I’m pretty sure you like her already if you bought her these,” Hobi grabbed the bandaids between his fingers. “You don’t even get us bandaids and we live with you and we’ve kissed you 24/7.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking,” Jimin tried waving off again but the two stood up and went towards him. He eyed them both. “What?”

“Nothing, nothing,” Hoseok smirked and he stepped back, hands up in mock surrender. “I think I should go flirt with her, or maybe, you know, I should set her up with one of the guys that work for us.”

“Leave her alone,” Jimin breathed out, his eyes burning holes into their bodies. They could only chuckle at his obvious jealousy.

They could never feel jealous at Jimin obviously liking another person that wasn’t neither of the 6. After all, all 7 of them had a deeper connection than anyone so they wouldn’t mind.

“I’d like to meet her,” Yoongi mumbled, his gaze dropping to his arm as he placed a bandaid on the wounded skin. “Hey, now she and I have matching bandaids.”

“These are ugly,” Hoseok scrunched his nose out of the disgust as soon as he eyed the camouflaged ones you had disliked, too. “What made you think these would be nice to buy?”

“It was supposed to be as a joke,” Jimin glanced at them and then back at the iPad he had switched to using. “Shut up, don’t look at me like that.”

“Can we meet her?” Hoseok sat on the chair in front of Jimin, pouting in a way that he knew he would give in. Jimin sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger.

“Fine,” he said. “She comes later in the afternoon. Come around later by then, she’ll come by.”

“Wow, you two have some type of schedule?” Yoongi asked, his lips tilting up to a smirk.

“She gets harassed by the workers in my division,” Jimin explained, placing his iPad on the desk. He clasped his hands together. “Iseul is the cause of it.”

“Iseul Kim?” Yoongi questioned and Jimin nodded. “I forgot she works here. She’s been bothering the workers in my division. I have been watching her every time I come down here but no one is coming forward. I can’t make a proper statement to have her removed if no one speaks of the bullying.”

“She’s rich, what do you expect?” Hoseok asked, staring at them both. “She probably uses us as an excuse for her actions so, that probably scares the workers.”

“What if we kill her?” Jimin suggested and the older men gave him looks that made him raise his hands mid-air. “Hey, I’m just asking. No one would suspect us.”

“Her father would know,” Yoongi pointed out and Jimin groaned, rubbing his face with his ring-clad fingers. “Listen, when she comes over, talk to her more. I’ll try to talk to Jin. You know how much this affects him.”

“I know,” Jimin breathed out. “I’ll try to apologize and talk to him when I get back home.”

“You better.”

Combined Beings (iv)

It wasn’t long before the day had ended and you were already heading towards the floor Jimin was at.

Ari and Eunji were to be waiting for you in the main lobby, the three of you going out to eat to celebrate you and the friendship you have created with the boss no one had even gotten the chance to talk to.

“I’ll miss you, Binna,” you told the woman, having been told the news that she was to have her maternity leave, meaning you won’t be able to chat with her every time you came up. “Who am I going to talk to about what happens in there?”

She chuckled. “I’ll miss you just as much, y/n, and don’t worry, I’m sure the person who will be in my place won’t be… bad. Hopefully not.”

“Yeah, hopefully,” you sighed, shaking your head before you hugged her as best as you could since her bump stood between you two. “Have a safe birth. I wish you nothing but happiness and good health to you and the baby.”

“Thank you, y/n! And please don’t lose your mind with Mr. Park or any of them. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of them appear.”

“I’ll try not to.”

Waving one last time, you walked into Jimin’s office, closing the door behind you.

Automatically, he walked towards you when you came inside, his fingers running themselves over the band-aid and the bruises.

“Did you speak to Binna?” He asked you, glancing up at you before nodding his head, slowly dropping your arms. You nodded your head, giving him an answer.

“Yeah, I told her how much I’d miss her and she told me not to lose my mind being with you and meeting the others,” you chuckled a bit, ignoring his playful glare.

“I think we’re pretty fun,” you jumped at hearing the new voice and looked over your shoulder. You came upon the figures of the two men you had seen in the morning sitting on the couch, staring at you with such amusement.

You chuckled nervously, glaring at the way Jimin was now snorting at you, clearly making fun of you.

“Um, yeah,” you scratched your arm nervously, “I believe that it’s just, you know, I don’t know any of you other than Jimin.”

“Jimin?” One of them spoke, questioning the name since Jimin was your boss.

“Mr. Park, I’m sorry,” you immediately corrected. “I’m sorry, I don’t know your names.”

“Just call them Yoongi and Hoseok,” Jimin pointed out who was who, but you cleared your throat a little and nudged him. He looked down at you and leaned a little, knowing too much about your nervous and shy habits. “Yes?”

“I prefer calling them by their last names,” you mumbled into his ear.

“Yoongi, Mr. Min,” you nodded at his words, “and Hoseok, Mr. Jung. Got it?” You nodded yet again. He smiled before straightening his posture. “This is y/n, she’s a worker in my division.”

“Oh, you’re not a supervisor?” Hoseok questioned you. You shook your head. “I figured that’s why Jimin let you in so easily into his office.”

“No, I just came here one day because my supervisor had to leave early so I did her a favor for drop off her work,” you cleared it up, pursing your lips. “Um, but,

I’ll take my leave if that’s what you want. I don’t mind.”

You didn’t mind because you felt awkward under their stares. Especially from Mr. Min who was glaring at you, though there was a sense of a smile on his lips. It was very confusing.

“No, stay,” he spoke before gesturing towards the couch in front of them. You tentatively moved towards the couch, Jimin following behind. You made sure though, to keep your eye on the time to make sure you didn’t keep your friends waiting downstairs. “So, what do you work on?”

“I mostly work with both numbers and writing,” you replied, playing with your fingers. “I check the statistics and make sure no numbers are out of place. If I don’t feel like doing numbers, I just simply write down the observations on certain products that are of no use and whose numbers are decreasing.”

“I could never work with numbers,” Yoongi shook his head, listening to every word that escaped your mouth. “That’s why I work on the division with sending letters, books, CD covers, anything with writing instead of math or science.”

“He’s just lacking in that sense, you know?” Jimin’s shoulder hit yours as he nudged you, teasing the older man. Yoongi flipped him off. “Hey, hey, I didn’t say anything wrong.”

“I hope we’re not keeping you for too long,” Hoseok glanced at you. “You seem like you have somewhere to be since you keep glancing at the time.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be rude,” you bowed your head to them, “I just have my friends waiting for me in the lobby. I don’t want to leave them hanging for too long.”

“Eunji and Ari, right?” Jimin asked and you nodded in response. He grabbed his blazer. “Let’s go. I’ll take you to the main lobby so you won’t get scolded or harassed.”

“I never thought I’d hear you say those words,” Hoseok shook his head. He looked at you. “I’m sorry for what you’ve been experiencing. Please try to get evidence based on what you or other workers have been experiencing. It is necessary for us, the public, and those affected.”

“Of course,” you said. Jimin led you towards the door, opening it and you turned to look at the two, eyeing their beautiful features. “It was nice to meet you two.”

“It was nice to meet you, y/n,” Hoseok smiled a bit at you before you walked away, already noting that Yoongi wouldn’t look your way since he was staring at his wound.

With one last wave, you and Jimin headed towards the elevator, noting that Binna had already left.

“They were nice,” you told Jimin in order to break the silence. “I was told that Yoongi would be very intimidating but, he seemed very nice.”

Jimin let out a small chuckle, his hands behind his back as you two watched the number on the elevator decrease.

“If I tell him that, he’ll get more intimidating,” he breathed out. “Yoongi is very… cold in his sense to not let anyone in other than us. He’s nice but, he has his moments. He’s a nice guy, though. He makes amazing breakfast in bed.”

“Oh, are you two dating?” You looked up at him curiously. He hid his smile. “You don’t have to tell me, by the way. You’re my boss and it’s not my business.”

“Flower,” you froze at the nickname, “I thought it was obvious I’m dating all six of them. We don’t hide it from the public or the media.”

“I don’t really look you all up that’s why,” you defended yourself. You could hear him laughing silently, his shoulders moving up and down. “Leave me alone.”

He laughed even more at your whine, finding the situation funny and the way you innocently asked him if he was dating Yoongi. It wouldn’t be funny to others, but the way you didn’t know he was dating your other 6 bosses, well, he couldn’t help but laugh.

He was pretty sure everyone in the company knew about it.

“This is why you’re my favorite employee,” Jimin laughed out before wiping at his eyes, getting rid of the tears that were threatening to escape. “Oh, God. You made my day.”

“I don’t want to talk about it,” you hid your face. Of course they were dating. It was obvious and the way they held hands whenever one would come in. You just didn’t think much of it.

Much to your liking, the doors to the elevator opened and you two came out of it, heading towards the figures waiting for you.

“Here she is,” Jimin spoke up, his cheeks flushed from laughing so hard. He turned to look at you. “Be safe. Don’t forget tomorrow you have to come in again. I’ll buy you more band-aids.”

“Jimin, I’m fine,” you waved him, ignoring the way Ari and Eunji glanced between the two of you. “Stop wasting money on me. We have enough band-aids.”

“There is never enough,” he smiled and waved at the other two women. He laughed one more time at you and turned around towards the elevator. Before the doors closed, he waved at you. “Bye, flower.”

The doors closed shut and you turned to look at your friends who were staring at you with their mouths and eyed wide opened.

“Did he just call you flower?” Eunji asked, pointing towards the elevator where Jimin was at.

“He just called you flower,” Ari breathed out softly, processing the news in her head. You shook your head and grabbed their shoulders, leading them out of the building. They were still in shock.

“He just called her flower.”

“He just called her flower!”

Combined Beings (xvii)

“You need to come out of the bathroom, my love.”

Jimin’s voice was heard from the other side of the door of the bathroom, your figure hidden away from their eyes ever since you had gotten dressed in a black dress.

You glanced at yourself on the mirror, a dainty silver necklace with green pendants adorning your neck and a matching set of earrings already on your ears. You had received them as a gift from Yoongi, the man stating they were all going to be matching with you, as a way for people to know you’re with them and for your family to know, too. You also had your Diamond bracelet on your wrist, the one with the tracker, and the boys took theirs as well.

“I’m okay,” you breathed in, admiring how the dress hugged your figure. You had to admire yourself. You couldn’t give the women that had put you down—on a constant—take advantage of you by belittling you. So, you admired yourself. “I’ll open the door soon! I just need a little me-time before I show you guys. Is that okay?”

“That’s fine, beautiful,” Namjoon said out loud. “Take your time okay, baby? We don’t have to rush.”

The boys glanced at one another, but they couldn’t help but feel excited to see you. Even though Namjoon was busy making sure you guys had enough security and enough of his men with him to keep a close on all of you, he was still buzzing with excitement at being able to see you in that dress after Eunji and Ari had teased them about it. The two girls simply told them, “She looks so beautiful and so fucking hot and we got to see her and not you.”

He and the boys were all ready, fixing their jewelry, getting their guns, and placing them on the back of their waistband. They had to be ready for danger and they had to be prepared just in case you disappeared. They went through every scenario with you and they made sure you were okay with it all. They just hoped Iseul and her mother were smart enough to not do anything to you.

“Okay, I’m coming out,” you softly announce, opening the door as slowly as you could. You gulped say your hands slightly shook, clasping them behind your back as you couldn’t dare look up. But, you heard silence and looked at the 7 underneath your lashes. “How do I look?”

“Eunji and Ari were right,” Namjoon lowly answered, his eyes looking you up and down. “You look beautiful, baby.”

Namjoon stepped up first, kissing you for the first time. He has been wanting to give you space at first, letting you take action, but you looked so beautiful he just had to.

His lips immediately fit with yours perfectly, hands finding themselves intertwined with your hair, his rings softly meeting the side of your face for a brief moment.

“As hot as that is,” Jungkook spoke as you and Namjoon continued kissing very deeply, “I want to kiss her.”

“No,” Namjoon croaked out, continuing to kiss you and you enjoyed it all. Well, you did until he pulled away and smiled at you, backing away while he gestured to Jungkook to get to you now.

Jungkook grinned and his hand found its way to your cheek, as usual, while his other placed itself on your hip, holding you in place. The other 6 couldn’t help but feel turned on at noticing the youngest two of the group basically make-out in front of them, especially with the way Jungkook brought you closer to his body, hand slithering it’s way from your hip, to your lower back, and then to your ass. He grinned into your molded lips, finding your reaction (a gasp that layer turned to you swatting his arm) funny.

“Alright, Jungkook,” Yoongi stepped up, grabbing you by the waist to take you away from him. Jungkook’s lips went to chase yours, but when he saw that Yoongi was giving him a look, he groaned and stepped away, though, Jimin was the first to step in and kiss him to quiet him down.

It was safe to say, all 7 of them were turned on by you, by the kissing, and by you. The way you looked and the way you held yourself was such an attraction to all of them because although you slightly shook from nerves, you didn’t let that stop you from knowing you did look beautiful.

“I love watching you kiss,” Jimin chuckled, watching the way your hands were placed on Yoongi’s face, his hands gripping your waist and bringing you even closer if possible, “but we need to go to the ceremony.”

“Yeah, you’re right,” Yoongi mumbled on your lips but he didn’t show any evidence of backing away.

Jimin playfully rolled his eye and tilted his side towards Taehyung who grabbed Yoongi away while Jimin grabbed you.

“Leave our flower alone,” Jimin stated, arms wrapping themselves around your waist from behind. “You’ll have your chance to makeout with her in the car when we’re heading to the ceremony.”

“Fine by me.”

They all walked away, but Jimin stayed behind with you as you touched up your hair and lipgloss, shaking your head.

“I like how you guys kiss me like I’m going somewhere for years,” you chuckled and he smiled at you from the mirror you were staring at yourself on.

“We just love kissing those lips,” Jimin shrugged, kissing your shoulder from his position behind you. He kept his smile on his face. “You truly look beautiful, flower. You always do but, you look even beautiful today knowing that everyone will know you as ours.”

“Isn’t that dangerous, though?”

“Baby, we will do anything to protect you.”

His words warmed your body and you could only think about what you did in your past life to be in this position. 7 men were in love with you and they looked at you as if you hung up the moon and stars all on your own. You truly deserved this love and you loved loving them.

When you got in the car, your guards immediately went to the front seats, leaving the 7 boys to figure out how to sit. They didn’t want to get another car, so they opted that two people need to sit on someone’s lap.

Yoongi grabbed you in a flash, making your body lay across his lap. Jimin had to sit on Jin’s lap, the man enjoying it way too much as he got to annoy Jin.

“Turn up the radio a bit, Jae,” Hobi instructed, knowing that you would be too embarrassed if the sounds of yours and Yoongi’s lips smacking against one another was heard.

Jae did so, his phone in hand as he texted his wife to keep him occupied until you all reached your destination.

It wasn’t long before you all arrived to the venue, noticing that people kept coming in and out of it, drinks in hand. You got out with the help of Jimin whose hands reached for the gloss you had told him to take care of.

“Fix your gloss, baby,” he muttered, leaning in to peck your lips.

You smiled at him and nodded, turning around to look at yourself on the mirror, touching up the gloss… again. You let out a sigh as you finished, turning around to face the venue again.

“Are you ready?” You looked at the man beside you and you smiled a little at Jin, slowly nodding. He grabbed your hand, squeezing it, noticing your discomfort starting to show as you all headed towards the venue.

You 8 walked inside, guards guarding you you while they inspected your surroundings, making sure no threats were to be found. They dispersed, though, standing near you 8 while you looked for familiar faces. Some family members you remembered, turned to look at you as 7 handsome men were by your side, one of them holding your hand.

Your eyes met your sister’s, whose eyes widened at seeing you there. She honestly wasn’t sure if you would even come over, knowing that your mom makes you uncomfortable and some aunts, her sisters, also make you uncomfortable.

“You made it!” Your sister exclaimed, hugging you. You could smell the alcohol from her and you chuckled. When you lived with her for a bit, drunk her was always amusing and she was extremely touchy. “I’m happy you made it. Mom was getting on my damn nerves and the party started like 2 hours ago. How can she do that already?”

“That’s her gift,” you chuckled and you saw her eyes landing on the men by your side. “Um, these are… my boyfriends.”

“All 7?” She asked, her eyes widening at the revelation. Her mouth stayed open but, she stepped forward to hug Taehyung first. “Welcome to the family!”

“Oh, uh,” Taehyung looked taken back at her words before awkwardly patting her back, “thank you.”

“I already know what Mom is going to say,” your sister continued hugging them all while she stared at you. “I hope you’re okay with what she will say. I’ll step in and Dad will step in.”

“He’s here?” You frowned as Jimin kept his position behind you, hands on your hips while Jin still held your hand in his grip. Your sister nodded, hugging the last guy—Yoongi—before moving away.

“Yeah, he likes my husband which, you need to meet by the way,” she looked around as she stepped away. She hummed. “Let me look for him. I’ll be right back.”

“Okay, I’ll look for Dad,” you said and she nodded, walking away. You turned to look at the guys. “My mom is the one who we need to worry about. My dad is much more… welcoming.”

“So, we don’t like your mom, we like your dad?” Hobi questioned and you shook your head up and down to let him know that yes, your mom isn’t liked and your dad is.

“Y/n!”

Your heart sped up as your mom, so much for luck, headed your way, Iseul’s mom right beside her. Her eyes slightly widened, though, when she came to find the 7 boys by your side.

“Hi, mom,” you gave her a small smile, letting her hug you. Similar to what Taehyung had done, you awkwardly patted your mom’s back. “It’s nice to see you again.”

She backed away, ignoring the men while she glanced at your body up and down, eyes slightly stopping to stare at the bracelet on your wrist and then at the necklace.

“Are these fake?” Your mom gasped, touching the necklace and you shook your head. “You don’t need to lie, honey.”

“They aren’t,” Namjoon spoke, causing your mom to glance at him and noticing the same necklace on his neck. “Do you know your jewelry, ma’am?”

“And who are you?”

Namjoon didn’t respond to your mom. If anything, he looked past her to stare at Iseul’s mom, a sarcastic smile spreading on his lips as he curtly waved.

“Hi, Mrs. Kim,” he said, your mom’s mouth opening a bit as he ignored her, “say hi to your husband for me and remind him of our meeting coming soon.”

“I will, Namjoon…”

“Now, I’m Namjoon,” he continued, now his gaze settling on your mother who was staring at him with a shock expression, knowing what type of business Mrs. Kim’s husband was in. “I’m one of your daughter’s boyfriends.”

“One of them?”

“They’re all my boyfriends mom,” you breathed out, gesturing towards the men. Then did she notice that the necklace and bracelet you were wearing, they all wore it, too. “This is, Jimin, Jin, Taehyung, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jungkook, and Namjoon.”

“Are you fucking crazy?” Your mom hissed at you, glancing over her shoulders to make sure no one heard her. “Are you sleeping around with different men?”

“Uh,” you dragged out the word, “I’m in a relationship with different men.”

“Y/n this is no place for jokes,” your mom continued to scowl at you, her eyes running themselves Obed your face. You sighed and you felt Jimin taking you back with him when he saw that your mom was about to grab your arm. “She is my daughter.”

“Do not touch her,” Jin gave her a stoic expression.

“Mom, this is my sister’s wedding,” you frowned, watching as she rolled her eyes, a scoff escaping her lips. “Do not make this about you when it’s not. Don’t think I didn’t notice how the colors of the wedding are your favorite colors and half of the people here are your friends and not hers.”

“You’re embarrassing me in front of everyone,” your mom continued and you felt the boys behind you about to hold onto you but, they figured you’ll ask for help when you need it. They will step in, though, if your mom lays her hands on you. “First you—”

“Honey!” Your dad appeared in front of you as he softy pushed your mom aside, hugging you tightly against him. “It’s been so long. Why don’t you visit?”

“Dad, I’ve just been busy with work,” you sighed, hugging him back as tightly before you’re whispering in his ear. “Can you take us to a table, please? Mom is getting on my nerves.”

“Yeah, she’s been getting on mine, too,” your dad whispered back and you chuckled at his words. “You need to introduce me to these guys because they look scary. Now let’s go.”

Your dad immediately led you away from your mom who was glaring at him. The two never got along and your mom still held a grudge for the fact that he left her when she started getting at him for being lazy—he had enough jobs—and gaining more weight. It was sad for you that the woman you looked up to and gave birth to you, criticized you and your father for their weight. Even she criticized herself, but it wasn’t as bad as for you both.

When you sat down, the boys didn’t even hesitate to grab chairs and change them so they could be by your side and behind you. Your dad shook their hands, curtly bowing as they did, too.

“They’re my boyfriends,” you smiled as Jungkook placed a hand on your thigh, the same smile on his own lips. Yoongi, beside you, wrapped an arm behind the chair, his thumb rubbing your shoulder. “They own the company I work at.”

“Ah,” your dad nodded before he, too, smiled at the boys. “I’m happy my daughter’s in good hands.”

“We’ll take care of her.”

“There you guys are,” your sister appeared, a smile spread on her lips as she tugged on the arm of a man. “This is my husband, Eunwoo oh! And this,” she grabbed another man’s arm as the smile on yours and the other’s vanished, “is Daeseong, his brother.”

Jungkook’s grip on your thigh tightened as he pursed his lips, his eyes staring him down. “Daeseong! Nice to see an employee of ours here.”

“Employee?” Eunwoo questioned, introducing himself to you. “I didn’t know you worked. You’re doing something for the first time in your life, huh?” Daeseong ignored his brother as he shook the hands of the 7 men. “Is my little brother doing well?”

“He’s doing well,” Namjoon shortly said, his eyes burning themselves towards the man whose smile didn’t dare stray away from his lips. But Namjoon could see the gulp, displaying his nervousness. He turned to Jin, leaning in to whisper. “Do you see Iseul?”

“ No,” Jin shook his head. “I’ve been trying to look for her but I don’t see her anywhere in this room. We stilll need to be careful.”

It wasn’t long before they had bonded with your dad, talking to him about his work and talking about their work, not the whole mafia business one. It was nice to see them bond, but it sucked even more when you could feel your mother’s eyes on you from across the room and Daeseong’s own. You panicked, though, once you saw Iseul finally appearing, standing near him.

“Of course,” you heard Jin from behind you murmur to Namjoon. “Those two are together which is how Iseul’s mother and Iseul hang out with Y/n’s family.”

“Keep an eye on her.”

“Is something wrong?” You asked Yoongi who looked at you, his eyes running themselves over your face. He sighed and shook his head. “What’s wrong?”

“All I know is that you need to stay closer to us, okay, angel?” You nodded and he placed his hand on the back of your head, giving it a kiss before his lips traveled down towards your ear. “Good girl.”

Your body heated up and you playfully rolled your eyes at his antics which had him laughing a little.

“Your mother isn’t the bed, is she?” He continued to ask and you shook your head. “We’re all happy to have you. I hope you realize that. Whatever she made you feel, whatever she did to you, we’ll be here to help you. I hope you’ll be able to see yourself how we see you and that’s you being such a beautiful girl inside and out.”

“I’m just scared that the trauma I have gotten from her actions will cause me to not believe your guys’ words,” you admitted as the others continued talking amongst themselves. He stared at you as you spoke. “Especially from her and insulting my weight to her and my dad’s relationship.”

“They were always fighting, every weekend, screaming and throwing stuff to one another?” You nodded at Yoongi’s words and he sighed, nodding along with you, too. “My parents did that, too, but, I was relieved more than hurt when they finally divorced. Thankfully, they both found partners that love them both. Though they can’t face one another, they’re happy now.”

“But you can’t help but remember those days?” He nodded again in agreement. “Those were always the bad days.”

“It sucks, baby,” Yoongi breathed out, grabbing your hand and placing a kiss on the back of it, “but we can’t let their failed relationship affect and shape us. We have good partners now who will always be by our side, in the good and bad, and will always be here to love us. Okay? You got us now.”

You smiled at his words and leaned your head on his shoulder, feeling him wrap an arm around your own.

“So lovey-dovey,” Jimin poked his head by Yoongi’s side, a grin on his lips. “I love it!”

You two ignored his words, but you couldn’t help but chuckle at his enthusiasm, finding it amusing how he had such a grin set on his lips.

“Hey,” your sister kneeled in front of you, stumbling a little, “can you help me in the dressing room to take off this dress? I don’t want to step on it and then have my boobs be shown.”

“I-” You were taken aback at her blunt words and a little scoff escaped your lips. “Yeah, let’s go. We’ll take some water to sober you up and then clean some of your makeup.”

“This is why I love you so much.”

You smiled at her words and stood up, helping her. But before you could continue while ignoring the boys’ eyes on your body, they all simultaneously stopped you.

“Take Jae’s second-in-command” Jin instructed while Hobi called said man while waving another man to come, too. “That one, too. They have their guns on them. If you’re not by here in about 10-ish minutes, we’ll go knock on the door. We already have the room, got it?”

You nodded and Namjoon stepped forward. “Remember what we have talked about, okay? Just stay calm. We’ll find you.”

“Okay,” you shakily breathed out. “I’ll stay calm. Find me if anything happens, okay?”

“I love you.”

You softly smiled, feeling your hand being tugged. “I love you.”

“Go.”

Your sister dragged you off towards the dressing room for her and you fed her the water that Jae’s second-in-command had given you. It wasn’t a lot as to what you were doing but, your sister then headed towards the bathroom, leaving you to fend for yourself while you looked around.

You heard a thud, so thinking it was your drunk sister, you knocked on the door.

“You okay?” You asked and then you heard the married girl puking her guts out. You crinkled your nose, hating the sound before backing away. “I’ll be here.”

Though, you heard a couple of grunts that clearly didn’t come from your sister. Breathing in and out, you already knew that the boys were right. You would be getting kidnapped and it would be so nerve-wracking and scary, but as long as you remembered what they taught you.

You didn’t have to look in the mirror to know that the person who had opened the door wasn’t one of the men assigned to you.

“Come on.”

You sighed. “You don’t have to do this, Daeseong.”

“I have to or Iseul will have her father kill me,” Daeseong muttered, grabbing you. “Why did you have to date all 7 of them? That wasn’t apart of the plan, y/n. You fucked this up for me and for the others working for Iseul. We’re all going to get killed regardless.”

“Which is why you need to let me go,” you tried glancing at him over your shoulder, but a bag was placed over your head as you felt breeze, alerting you that you were outside. “You have 7 men who will hurt. If you let me go—”

“Shut up.”

He pushed you up towards a car, making you freak out by the sudden reality you are now facing. You tried to hide the fact you were starting to get scared and you were even trying to hide the fact that your chest was heaving up and down.

As they drove away, your fingers pressed the button on your Diamond bracelet, alerting the boys of your situation. Though, another set of hands grabbed it, taking it away.

“I knew this would happen,” he huffed. “I told Iseul that your bracelet would be having some type of alert. I’ll hold onto it, though.”

But you held in your small chuckle as you knew that the bracelet had a tracker. He didn’t need to know that fact.

It wasn’t long before all 7 boys’ bracelets seemingly beeped simultaneously. They all looked at one another, grabbing their phones while tracking your bracelet.

“They got her.”

They all stood up, walking towards the dressing room with their guns in hand. Their guards were already following behind, ignoring the looks of those in the party aware of what they were holding.

Jimin noticed the guards knocked out, blood seeping from the wounds on their heads. Your sister was looking around the room, suddenly sober.

“Where’s Y/n?” Jimin asked and your sister looked at them and their guns.

“I don’t know,” she rushed out, shaking her head. “I-I came out of the bathroom after throwing up and I come out and she’s not here. Where is she? Where’s my sister?”

“Don’t worry. We’re already planning on bringing her back. On the meantime, get rid of guests except your mom and Iseul’s mother if she’s here.”

Your sister seemed to have sobered up by now. “Please find her.”

“We will. Now hurry and bring in your husband, too.”

What the hell did you do?”

Jungkook and Taehyung appeared into the kitchen where Jimin, Namjoon, and Jin were talking in, conversing about the issue that had just happened not so long ago.

Jimin knew that the two would eventually found out what had happened since you texted them regularly, too. He could only imagine how shaken up you are, freaking out about what had happened and the way they killed people.

But the people they killed weren’t innocent. Not when they had kidnapped children for the benefit of their own boss who had wanted money out of the children’s parents. That’s why they had to do what they needed to do when they found out who had made reservations.

“You put her in danger!” Jungkook exclaimed before glaring at Jimin. “You can’t say you have genuine feelings for her when you do this.”

“I had to do this,” Jimin sternly spoke, slamming the counter. “It had to be done. I planned everything for her in order to make sure she was safe, I didn’t plan for her to see me kill someone.”

“It’s not about her seeing you,” Taehyung said, shaking his head. “It’s about her being caught in between of whatever business you two had when she simply wanted a genuine apology from Jin.”

“I did mean my apology,” Jin breathed out, staring at his partners. He couldn’t help but go back to Jungkook’s words, glancing at Jimin. “You like her?”

Jimin sighed and closed his eyes, rubbing the skin of his forehead with the fingers that contained the rings you always played with. “Why are you two even awake? You’re usually asleep by this time.”

“We’re going to see her,” Jungkook answered, picking up a jacket he had left on the couch. “She doesn’t want to be alone, especially because someone followed her home.”

“Someone followed her home?” Namjoon asked, his brows furrowing together and Taehyung hummed. “I warned you both if she was seen with any of you, she will be targeted. I warned you, did I not?”

“Look, at least we managed to get some of them,” Jin defended himself and Jimin. “We have been on their asses for so long and we needed to do this in order to get what we lost. We cannot let a girl step between us and our business.”

“That’s the problem,” Jimin breathed out, placing his hands on the counter that allowed him to set his weight on them, “she’s not just a girl to any of us, Jin. She is so much more. Namjoon is right and you know it, too. She could’ve been hurt, or worst, dead. You saw how kind she is… I saw it when you easily conversed with her.”

Jin didn’t say anything. Namjoon glanced between everyone before he let out a sigh. He turned to look at Jungkook and Taehyung.

“Be careful,” he raised his brows with a stern voice. “I’m serious. Take your weapons and have guards guarding her house. I don’t want you three to be in danger.”

“We will.”

Jimin could only feel such a heavy weight in the pit of his stomach, turning around to head towards the bathroom as quietly as he could since Hoseok and Yoongi were already cuddling and sleeping.

“Is it true?” He looked up and saw Jin’s figure behind him on the mirror. “You like her?”

Jimin knew he couldn’t get away with it so he nodded slowly. “I do… It’s nothing compared to what I felt for Nabi. It’s much more stronger and the connection I have with Y/n isn’t forced at all. I feel as safe with her as I feel with you all.”

“Listen,” Jin mumbled, stepping closer, “just be careful, okay? Do not pressure her into telling you anything. She will most likely not tell you her feelings since she knows you’re with us and she might not want to make any of us uncomfortable. Just be there for her just like you’re already doing right now.”

“You liked her, too,” Jimin smiled at him softly, rubbing the moisturizer on his face, eyeing Jin. “You have to admit, she just radiates such energy.”

“I liked her,” Jin agreed, nodding his head. “She’s a good girl. You see, I agreed with the plan because I didn’t like her and I didn’t care about her, but I see what you see in her. She’s very kind and she’s a great listener, too. I do regret what happened, but it’s better we did what we did or else more children were to be hurt and more people would be dead.”

Jimin couldn’t help but let out a sigh. Jin was right. But he still felt guilty about what you had felt and the feelings you were going through. He can’t shake away the way you looked at him after he found you. He never wished for you to see that part of him so early on when you two had gotten so comfortable with physical touch. Now, he already knew you were going to avoid him or, you won’t talk to him anymore.

He grabbed his phone.

Minnie ❤️ : I’m sorry for what you had to see today. I don’t want to apologize over text since I want you to hear it from my own lips and I want to explain it all so, let’s talk whenever you want ❤️

You stared at the message and you felt such pain in the pit of your stomach. You couldn’t help but already feel bad for telling them to leave you alone but, it was scary what you had witnessed. And it sucked that Jin didn’t mean any of the words he had told you.

You recounted what you had gone through on your way back home and you shuddered, immediately locking everything in your house at the idea of that person coming back.

When you were walking home, then did you notice that Jin’s restaurant was very far from your home. It was turning dark and your heart hammered against your chest once you heard pattering footsteps behind you. You didn’t think much of it but it started making you anxious when you would cross a street and the person behind you would quickly follow. You didn’t need any of this crap since you just saw a person you were close to kill someone right in front of you. You didn’t want to deal with a random person stalking you.

That’s why you called the second person you were close to.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Jungkook,” you said very loudly, glancing at the person behind you. “Hey, so you have my location, right?”

“Yeah, I believe so,” Jungkook hummed and he furrowed his eyebrows once he could tell that you were purposely talking out loud. “What’s going on?”

“There’s a person following me,” you mumbled, loud enough for him to hear. You cleared your throat before speaking loudly again, “But, yeah, just meet me at this restaurant. They know me very well so just meet me there.”

“I’ll be there in a bit. Stay on call with me until you’re in a safe place, okay?” You hummed and silence was heard. “Wait, weren’t you just with Jin and Jimin?”

“I was,” you continued to talk while walking, making sure you were aware of your surroundings. “I just… I just witnessed Jimin and Jin kill people. I don’t care if you’re in it or anything, if you’re in a gang whatever, I just feel very, very scared.”

You heard the silence and heard him letting out a mutter of curses. “Those assholes… I’ll be right there with Taehyung. Please be safe, I’ll still stay on call.”

You could hear him moving on the other line, rustling heard here and there. You could see a restaurant coming up and you recognized it as the one who was close to your house, hurrying your steps in order to reach it and get away from the man who quickly followed behind.

Thankfully, you had seen one of your old friend’s from school. It seemed almost like a miracle when she recognized you and introduced you to her boyfriend. After catching up, you had asked them if they could give you a ride, which they so kindly agreed to. Jungkook wasn’t on call since he heard you with people you clearly knew, but he was still watching your location very closely, making sure that your location was now in the safety of your home.

He had told Taehyung to come with him, both of them heading your way when they encountered the men who put you in a bad situation.

After that encounter, they headed your way. It didn’t take long and they both told their bodyguards to guard the house while they went to be with you, their guns on the side of their waists, waiting to be taken out if they needed to be.

“Angel,” Taehyung knocked on the door, alerting you.

You quickly went to open the door and they looked at you, eyeing your expression and if you were in any type of harm. As Jungkook opened his mouth to talk, you cut him off, your arms going around his neck as he was the one closest to you, giving him a big hug.

He could feel you shaking in his arms and he knew you wouldn’t let go, so he raised you in his arms, your legs going around his waist with his hands resting underneath your thighs.

Taehyung nodded at the look he was given by the youngest, closing the front door, and opening the door to your room since it had a pendant on the front that alerted them it was yours.

“Hey, you’re okay,” Jungkook rubbed the skin of your thighs, the shorts that you usually wore to sleep riding up a bit. “You’re safe. You have us.”

“It was so scary,” you mumbled into his neck, feeling him place you down on the middle of your bed. Taehyung followed after, taking off his shoes and sweater as he went to sit by your side, pushing away hair that fell on your face. “I just wanted to enjoy dinner with Jin since he’s your guys’ boyfriend and I wanted to make sure he was comfortable around me.”

“I know, baby,” Taehyung muttered, running a hand over your hair softly. You ignored the way his new nickname for you made you feel. “Listen, we want to explain everything but we need all of us to explain it to you, okay? I know you don’t want to see Jimin or Jin but you’re going to have to talk to them in order to understand what’s been going on.”

“I want to give you a warning,” Jungkook spoke as he was also taking off his sweater, his tattoo sleeve catching your attention as you didn’t think his entire arm would be filled with art, “Jimin will try to talk to you. Yes, he’s going to tell you he’s sorry and he’ll give you time but Jimin is very… attached. He will come to you personally and apologize.”

“Should I be worried?” You frowned and Jungkook chuckled, shaking his head, laying down next to you.

“No,” he said. “Also, um, Namjoon was there so, expect him to apologize to you, too.”

“I just want to ask something,” you breathed out and they both looked at you since you were sandwiched between them. “Are you guys in a gang…?”

Taehyung snorted and he shrugged. “I will say this but I need your phone.” You gave it to him and he shut it off, you three watching it shut down. “We’re in a mafia. I know it’s not an easy thing to say or to process, but it’s been something we’ve been part of for years now and that’s why you saw Jimin and Jin kill someone.”

You stayed quiet and they leaned a bit forward in synch to make sure you were okay. You looked off in shock, mouth agape while your breath moved up and down.

“Oh, my God,” you whisper, glancing between the two. “Oh, my God!” You ran a hand over your face. “Are you guys going to be killed?”

Jungkook grabbed your hand. “No, angel. I’m pretty sure we’re not going to die. Listen, we’re telling you because the man that followed you might’ve seen you with one of us and took the chance to get you. From now on, you’re coming with either one of us, okay? We’re not going to let anyone harm you, especially if it’s because of us.”

“I could’ve died?” You exclaimed and Taehyung grabbed your other hand, kissing the back of it, something he would usually do to the others if they were ever stressed. “I’m going to die.”

“Don’t think like that,” Taehyung hummed, softly glaring at you. “You’re not doing to die. But please, take some guards right now to check on you and your house. It’ll help us feel better or we’ll sleep here and take turns.”

“I’m still processing the news you just dropped on me,” you muttered, looking at him from under your lashes and he softly smiled at you. “You look like you don’t harm a fly.”

He chuckled. “I’ve done worse. But, I don’t want you to see us in that light, okay? Jimin and Jin did a big, big mistake by allowing you to be in that situation, vulnerable. I know all you wanted was an apology from Jin.”

“Well, yeah,” you nodded, looking straight ahead as they situated themselves in a position where they could fully pay attention to you. “It made me uncomfortable being told that I made everything up just to get money from you all. I had been dealing with Iseul’s harassment since I started this job and at the end, it got out of hand because she saw me with Jimin.”

“Iseul was and is a bitch,” Jungkook huffed and you looked at him, his eyes meeting yours. “Sorry, it’s just… we have known her for years. She used to bully half of us but she took it out on me and Jimin the most. When we started growing our business more and more, she wanted to be included in our relationship, which is why her stepdad compromised with us.”

“We didn’t want Iseul to work in our company,” Taehyung continued. “But, her dad’s own business was lacking and no one knows this but, he started going bankrupt. He’s a nice guy, a nice mentor, so we gave his stepdaughter a chance to work with us while he was given some of our shipment to sell.”

You sighed and got closer to Taehyung, your face resting on his chest. He smiled at your affectionate side, glancing at Jungkook who had a faint of a smile on his lips.

“Go to sleep,” Jungkook whispered in your ear. You nodded and he wrapped an arm around your waist, their warmth lulling you to sleep. “We’ll talk more tomorrow if you want. You dealt with a lot today, angel.”

“Goodnight, baby.”

It wasn’t long before you went to sleep, soft snores escaping your lips. Jungkook watched as Taehyung moved, trying to grab his phone.

“You’re going to wake her up, Tae,” Jungkook said, continuing to watch his movements with amusement. Taehyung simply didn’t respond, letting out a small “aha” once he got the object he was looking for.

He stuck it out in front of him, taking a picture of his chin and you sleeping on his chest. He grinned once he saw how cute you looked, chuckling a bit deviously as he sent it to Jimin.

My love ❤️: your fuckups made me a lucky man. I get to cuddle her haha 🫵🏼🤣

Jungkook laughed a little at his words, his eyes trailing down your face. His slender fingers moved the strands away from your face, smiling a little at the way you scrunched your nose when your hair tickled it.

“She really is beautiful,” Jungkook mumbled as if he and Taehyung were sharing secrets amongst themselves, bodies molding with yours as if they were missing pieces of a puzzle. “I don’t even want to taint her with the evilness that comes with this job.”

“As kind as her soul is,” Taehyung started, “I know there’s a crazy spirit inside of her. After telling her what we are apart of, she didn’t look at us like we were monsters. If anything, she’s worried about us dying instead of us killing others.”

Jungkook nodded and let out a breath, continuing to watch you. His hand ran itself on the skin of your arm, noticing the goosebumps rising in its wake. He just watched.

Yes, you two have texted, but it was never enough in his opinion. There were sent here and there on an occasion, but it wasn’t a lot. He could tell you preferred talking because as soon as he would be in Jimin’s office and you were there, you would chat and it was enough for him.

He knew your troubles, personally. The mother who shouldn’t have the title of one and the sister who lived in the States. Your father, he knew, wasn’t one to be in the picture, but you had told him that despite your father having another family, he reached out once in a while to check up on you.

He also knew your favorite color. You wore it as a nail polish that he noticed you always chipped. You wore the color usually on Friday’s and you usually wore your hair down on that day, too.

He noticed you but Jungkook was quiet. He eyed details and let his mind run but not his mouth. He enjoyed everything around him in silence and wore a face that showed no emotion in order to not let people break him away from his thoughts. You didn’t know that he noticed such things, but that’s why he always stared at you.

He loved staring at you.

And that was his last thought, the thought of wanting to know every single thing about you while his fingers itched to touch every single part of you.

You woke up the next day to such warmth. Your body was heating up and the blanket over your body wasn’t helping.

You opened your eyes and suppressed the gasp threatening to escape your lips once you saw Jungkook’s face directly in front of yours. A hand of his was on top of your hip while Taehyung who was behind you had his arm wrapped entirely around your waist, palm resting neatly against your stomach.

You relished in the comfort of their bodies close to you and closed your eyes, but before you knew it, fingers touched your face. You opened your eyes and Jungkook’s own met yours, a small smile forming on his face.

“Good morning, angel.”

“Good morning,” you mumbled, a smile also forming on your lips.

“Did you sleep well?” He asked, moving the strand that fell on your face behind your ear. You nodded.

“I slept like a baby,” you responded. “You guys are so warm so I felt like I had a heater on and it was so nice. Thank you for staying with me.”

“It’s nothing, pretty girl,” he said and he moved from his place, standing up. Then did you notice that he wasn’t wearing a shirt, displaying the muscle and scars all over his chest and stomach. His arms flexed as he put on his shirt back on and you looked away, your body aching to stretch so trying your hardest not to wake Taehyung, you caught Jungkook’s attention.

Making grabby hands, he chuckled lowly once he understood what you were trying to do. He grabbed your hands and helped you up slowly, getting your body away from Taehyung’s grasp.

“He’s so strong,” you breathed out, looking down at where your stomach was being held, noticing the marks of the bracelets that surrounded the sleeping man’s wrist. Jungkook agreed and when you turned to put on your slippers, you eyed an object that made you gasp. “Is that a gun?”

Jungkook looked at your line of sight and nodded. “We have to be protected at all times so we both brought guns just in case you were in danger or anything. I’ll put it away if it makes you uncomfortable.”

You nodded and he grabbed his gun, placing it one of the drawers from your nightstand, making sure it wasn’t loaded. He gave you a look and you nodded yet again, turning around to leave your room. He followed quickly behind.

“I can make breakfast,” you suggested before eyeing the figures outside your home. “Are your bodyguards hungry?” Jungkook didn’t respond and you turned to give him a look. “I’ll go ask and you’re going to buy food.”

“Angel,” he groaned and you crossed your arms, giving him a serious expression. Though, he couldn’t take you serious when you just looked so adorable, your face swollen a bit from having woken up and the way you also looked pretty hot in shorts and a t-shirt. He sighed as he watched you leave.

He watched you open the door, sticking your head out. “Are you guys hungry?” They all didn’t say anything, obviously not knowing if they should answer to you.

Jungkook snorted and turned around. “Fine, fine. I’ll go buy breakfast.”

He put on his shoes and grabbed his gun, too, making sure to leave it with one of his guards to hold while he was in your home. He walked out of the house and turned to look at his men.

“Boss?” One of them called out and he looked at him.

“Prep the car,” he simply instructed and the man nodded without question, doing so. Jungkook turned to look at the rest. “Send me your favorite breakfast orders. I got told by such an amazing angel that I need to buy all of you food.”

They all chuckled at his words and the leader of the bodyguards there, smiled. “I’ll send you a message, sir.”

“Look after them and if she wants something, listen to her,” Jungkook pointed back at the door. “She better not get a single scratch on her body under your watch. If I even see a paper cut, your food will be eaten in front of you by another because you will be dead. Got it?”

They all nodded in synch and he hummed, getting inside his car.

You were left in silence and you took the time to sit on your couch, thinking of the events that had happened not so long ago. You slept with two out of seven of your bosses. But not slept in a sexual way, more like they cuddled you until you all went to sleep.

You couldn’t help but feel your body flush, your face feeling warm at the fact that you fell asleep on Taehyung. You remembered resting your head on his chest and knocking out, and you cursed the clinginess that came when you were tired, and the clinginess that so desperately needed to come out. You were way too touch deprived that you liked the way Taehyung and Jungkook grabbed you and took care of you. You liked holding Jimin’s hand. But you also felt bad when you remembered that they were all in a committed relationship, they didn’t need to do any of those things for you. You were pretty sure they were annoyed because no way that they would willingly do it.

“Already thinking so much very early in the day?” You jumped a little at hearing Taehyung’s voice by your ear and you turned your head to look at his figure. He smiled tiredly at you and laid down next to you on the couch, resting his head on your lap. “You two left me all alone in the very cold bed.”

“I’m sorry,” you said, playing with his hair. His eyes closed and you started braiding some strands. “Oh, Jungkook went to buy food.”

“I-” His eyes snapped open, his brows furrowing. “At this time?” You nodded and he grinned. “We’re gonna keep you. He doesn’t like going anywhere especially if he just woke up.”

“Really?” You asked him. He nodded.

“I’m surprised he even woke up early,” he continued, now mumbling since his cheek was squished against the skin of your leg and his eyes were closed because of how comfortable he felt. “He usually sleeps in if it’s a Saturday.”

You continued to watch him as he rambled on, especially about how if no one wakes him, he will not wake up. He later on continued to talk about his family, letting you know that his father was just like him in that sense. He smiled unknowingly when he spoke about his family and you smiled with him. But you immediately stood up once he started clearing his throat.

“You want some juice?”

“No, baby, I’m okay,” he muttered loud enough for you to hear. “I’ll be fine with water.”

“Okay.”

Grabbing what you needed, you tried your hardest to reach for a cup way in the back since you had some in the dirty dishes and you really didn’t want to wash dishes right now. But you really needed to remodel your home again because you were pretty sure you shrunk.

“You’re struggling a bit there,” Taehyung chuckled and you huffed, placing your hands on the counter. Getting yourself up, you immediately grabbed the cups you needed and grabbed more to send some drinks to the men outside. “You’re going to hurt yourself.”

“I’ve done this multiple times,” you waved off his worry, but he was right. Because you dropped a cup directly on the spot where you were going to place your foot on. “Ow!”

“Baby!” Taehyung exclaimed, heading towards you. You grabbed onto your foot, not without placing yourself back on the counter so you won’t hurt yourself anymore. “The day is just starting and you’re already hurt.”

“It could’ve been a lot worse,” you winced and looked away from your wound, feeling a drop of blood trailing down the bottom of your foot. He put on his shoes real quick, walking towards you. “I have a broom right next to the fridge.”

He nodded and grabbed it but your guys’ attention trailed towards the door when it was opened, a bodyguard looking around for any type of threat. He eyed your figure and hid his fear.

“We need a medical kit,” he yelled over his shoulder and he watched as Taehyung grabbed the kit away from his hands as soon as he got the object needed.

“Sir, let me—”

“No,” Taehyung waved him off, grabbing some tweezers that he and the others had used, replacing tweezer after tweezer because of the amount of times they had been hurt with glass.

You winced as soon as the coolness touched your wound. “Am I going to need stitches?” Taehyung shook his head and you let out a sigh of relief. “I should’ve listened.”

“It’s okay, baby,” Taehyung said, his eyesight stuck on your cut in order to take out the small piece of glass stuck in there. “You’re doing great, just be a bit more patient, okay?”

“Yeah, okay.”

He smiled up at you, getting back to what he was doing. But, your guys’ silence was cut off not so long after when you heard a car door slam and the pattering of footsteps heading inside your home.

“What happened?” You both eyed Jungkook’s figure as he stood near you three. His glare traveled to his bodyguard. “I told you very clearly that if anything were to happen to her under your watch, one of you will be killed.”

“Jungkook, I’m fine,” you waved him, smiling when Taehyung hummed in satisfaction, taking out the piece that was hurting you the most. “I was going to serve Taehyung something and the cup slipped. Your guard helped him get the kit or else I would’ve been bleeding out.”

Jungkook got closer to you, hand by your cheek. “Does it hurt really bad?” You thought about it.

“It hurts a little bit.”

“Mmm, come on,” Jungkook placed his hands on your thighs and lifted you with ease, making you wrap your legs around his waist. You gulped at eyeing his tattooed arm and his fingers digging into the flesh of your thigh. “Taehyung will wrap it up, but in the meantime do not walk in it.”

“Deal.”

“We need to watch you at all times,” Jungkook shook his head, placing you on the couch. “You just hurt yourself.” He sighed and watched you. “Do not walk on it. You’ll have us until tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow?” You questioned and they both nodded.

“In the meantime, I need to send Jimin a picture of Jungkook carrying you,” Taehyung giggled, his fingers tapping away on his phone.

“Tae.”

“I’m innocent.”
