Whatever God or life force created the likes of humanity explicitly designed ticklishness. Whether it's strictly just a funny little defense mechanism or if we were created in the image of a ticklish God (I prefer to believe in a higher power). Maybe part of our design w a s to amuse a creator who thought it would be hilarious to make us all ticklish. Like here's humanity, pretty much the most advanced species on earth, but lets make 99.9% of them ticklish and laugh and flail about when their weakness is exploited. It's completely wild if you really think about it and arguably adorable.
