klaus hargreeves being a vietnam veteran is such an insane part of canon. like,, all the main characters have assorted trauma and ptsd from being child soldiers, living through multiple apocalypses, having fucked-up superpowers, having a robot mom and an alien dad, weird time travel fuckery, etc…… and then klaus is just out here having straight up ’nam flashbacks. it’s crazy.

The difference between Law getting bloodied up until now and his loss against Teach is that here, Law is completely silenced.
Law's cheeky pride is usually full on display when he's down and on the brink of death. Because everything would still be under his control - his plans in motion and his important people away and safe. But this time, Law had no comeback to Teach's taunts. His comfort place and comfort people were taken out in his presence.
It's his first physical and psychological defeat.
