i went to a museum with some cool statues and i think we should get into the business of or start a trend where folks depict themselves/people they know in the EGO of that thing, Limbus Company style

like you have the weird statue or painting or tapestry or whatever in the background

and then you have your subject in the foreground, with armor and a weapon inspired by it

slap a cool name on it (‘[Museum name] EGO: [thematic name]’) and you’re done

Allllright, we're starting strong.

I'm already kind of predisposed to not like this as much because I am a firm believer in aroace Gela. I really enjoy when stories don't conclude in romance in the 'endgame'- especially between a guy and a girl. I'm sure you know that it's pretty tried and tired

(which is why the Fandom Ruined It + It's Too Popular boxes + Comphet nightmare are marked off- lots of people in this fanbase are very quick to try to shove their pretty nuanced relationship into the box of traditional romance and I think that erases the story's multiple attempts to really solidify and INSIST on their friendship).

(+ I really don't think it's good for the either of them to be plunged into anything romantic. They really have to figure out their shit In General)

It feels important as a game that focuses on community and growth that the strongest, main pairing isn't constrained to romance, but instead are good friends who grow and develop together! Romance to me feels like a sort of "commitment" that friendship doesn't have, and I think that's important for the both of them. They should both be able to grow and change as people by meeting and talking to others (concept of Da'at and wholeness, the Sefirot aiding their growth, etc). I feel like romance strips the community aspect away, and really disregards all the things around them that actually got them to understand each other in the first place.

It's for that reason I just... Really cannot understand it. Already, Roland's story has some Nuances my good friend Angie has written about that you can find here in regards to the way gender plays into his story (cough, lends to comphet box (And media literacy) once again) - but even if you make Roland a lesbian (TRUE!), I just don't think.. it's interesting, and it just doesn't benefit the characters individually or the story as a whole. You have fun doing whatever though!

Conclusion? Better as friends for sure.
