There's a new hacking bot tactics. Please be careful not to get hacked if you get a message:

"Hi, <blog name>! Did you ask me to send you this video?" And below is some low resolution video of a... lady.

Please don't click on it, please don't answer it, please be careful and tell your friends to beware you can get hacked this way and lose your blog.

The full message looks like this:

Hey it’s ace week and you’re local ace has something to say! I’ve been out as ace for 3 years now and it’s still a big part of my identity that I’m proud of so here’s a lil something for those who need it!

Congratulations!!!! That’s amazing. I can’t wait to hear more about it as you write the second draft

RPS Update: 1st Draft is Complete!

I did it! It took a little over a month, but Rival Potion Shops Draft 1, or “oops I accidentally did Nano a little earlier this year,” is done. It’s coming in at just under 66k, which is great- I’m an underwriter, so this gives me plenty of breathing room for draft 2. 

Excerpt from chapter 1, Sherry talking to Ambrose as they watch Eli set up shop:

“He’s the nephew of old Mr. Severia. Inherited the shop from him,” Sherry said proudly, now that it was her turn to parade about her observations. “I think he’s about your and Dawn’s age, too.” She squeezed Ambrose’s arm. “Wouldn’t it be nice to make a new friend?”

Ambrose grimaced. “No.”

Next Steps:

I’ll be waiting on re-reading for two weeks. In the meantime, expect some artwork!

I don’t think I’ll do alpha readers. I’ve got a list of notes going already, and I think it will be more beneficial for me to get through a draft 2, then do proper beta readers.
