Why Was Annabeth So Uncomfortable With What Percy Did To Akhlys? What's So Different About Using Poison
Why was Annabeth so uncomfortable with what Percy did to Akhlys? What's so different about using poison instead of a sword?
Well to be honest it was probably less so the poison and more so what he was doing with said poison; because it wasn't fighting, nor was it a quick kill with a slash of the sword.
It was torture.
Which is a terrifying act to see your partner commit, even if you have a history of fighting together on the battlefield. It's not something she's used to seeing from him and neither is poison-bending, so in that moment of terror I can see why she would latch onto the poison in fear.

YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME
Do you think when Percy watched Leo explode himself to defeat Gaia all he could think about was Beckendorf and how he let another Hephaestus camper sacrifice themselves in front of him?

my recipe for drawing hands!
(small note that this is a shortcut that is more abt style and ease than anatomical accuracy. it helps to take time to really properly study hands, makes it easier to bend the rules a bit like this and have it still look good!!)
(learn rules b4 u break them or whatevah)

this is my favorite Jason moment of all time. We don’t often see a lot of his character in the books other than subtle undertones and this gives us a direct look inside his mind. Imagine you’re a demigod in New Rome, and everyone’s been hyping up this Jason guy. Jason Grace, the son of Jupiter and praetor of New Rome, the guy who makes and enforces the law, changed the way of living for all roman demigods. A leader and role model for all And then when you finally meet him he’s like “I chafe under the rules 😎”
no but seriously. percy has always been so emotionally intelligent and empathetic and understanding but people often think he's gullible and stupid because he's insecure. like yeah he didn't believe annabeth liked him it's cuz he didn't like himself and couldn't understand why annabeth would. but he has an incredible grasp on everyone's emotions and why they feel the way they do and is so understanding. the understanding only vanishes when he's in denial which is typically out of insecurity or loyalty.
