Casually eats an entire rose

I should've been doing this from the start

5am, afraid and without sleep.

Maybe I'll just evaporate into the clouds,

Only for them to rain me out somewhere different,

And likely less desirable.

Laying on a 50 dollar pillow, hoping for the best

Like You

I'm no good at drawing, since I dont draw like you.

I draw with a computer mouse, liner and unrealistically.

You draw with a pen, dancing on the paper and recreating the things you see.

I'm no good at singing, since I don't sing like you.

I sing quietly, with no flow, a broken hum in the background.

You sing proudly, and can go up and down and back again, you're supposedly the best around.

I'm no good at poetry, since I dont write like you.

I bleed words onto the page, raw and unedited, too tired for my age.

You dazzle with words, sketching pictures with metaphors and simile, a painting on a page.

I'm not a good person like you, I'm full of ache and disappointment.

I compare and contrast in my head, never satisfied with what I do.

I know you do the same, just hide it better, something such an open book like me cant hope to.
