Bracelets & Rings

And from Patsy's book:

Bracelets & Rings

So if this is true, it would mean Noel possibly bought his own green and silver ring after Liam. Or that Liam bought it for him at that shop (?)

the fact that noel said the "when he turns to me and I turn to him (...) everything just clicks and it transcends music" part NEXT to Liam while Liam listened silently for once in his life is giving me PTSD.

I’m sick to my stomach.

That "My mother's old friend as well." always sounded like it could be something scary but I'm kinda relieved by the second part, as it could possibly be someone who excommunicated his mother because of the divorce.

Probably all of this was a real trauma for Liam because he referred to religion and Jesus throughout his life so it clearly wasn't the clean cut end he thought it was.

His views on spirituality are compelling, I wish more people had interviewed him like this through the years.

More Liam and Catholicism (from 1997):

"Liam: I suffered a lot when I was a kid, it made me stronger. My father especially hurt me a lot. My mother's old friend as well. They showed me only the dirtiest face of life: insults, blows. Men and religion have broken me. But I understood very fast that I couldn't believe in God anymore but only in myself. And it's true that I became a man in spite of myself. I grew up too fast. I'm 24, but I've seen too many things. I'm still that angry kid and unfortunately I'm not about to calm down. I'll never forget a big fight between my parents; he didn't stop hitting her. She decided it was enough, she wanted to divorce. She used to go every week to the church but immediately after that she wasn't allowed to have the Communion anymore. She wasn't allowed anymore to eat Christ's body just cos she wanted to protect herself from a violent husband. I've never forgiven that hypocrisy from the Catholic Church. Religion turned its back to my mum so I turned my back to religion."

Heartbreaking. He's said something similar in an interview with Neil Strauss.
