I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Bendy books being de-canonized was a RECENT development. I think people have either forgotten this or chosen to ignore it altogether. The author confirmed Dreams Come to Life was canon at least twice, and going forward no other books were challenged on their canonicity by Mike and Meatly (at least not that I could find,) leading people to believe that they were canon, which was a reasonable assumption to make based on the content of each new installment.
