Aita for protecting my coworker from being fired?

I (28 f) have a coworker (25 m) who is my partner in the police force. Last month, my coworker shot a man. The man was told to be armed with a gun however, when I searched the body, there was no weapon of any sort.

My coworker was distraught at the man’s death, losing sleep and skipping work and meals. I called him and invited him for a drink. We talked and he ended up spilling that he may be fired for his transgression. This felt unjust to me as he was told to shoot without any knowledge of the situation.

Strangely enough, not long after the talk (a week or so) one of my other colleagues (20-something m) gave me a weird ass contract saying if I devoted myself to Asunaro (the name of the police force) I could have any wish granted.

I signed the contract and wished to have my partner not be fired. Keiji confronted me, asking me why he’s not fired, I explained that it was only self defense. He blew up at me, claiming he’s a murderer and that I shouldn’t have made a back room deal.

My partner turned in his two week notice that day.
