this whole train of thought was inspired by this picture that parabellumldn had on their story

and since they make Sleep Tokens jewelry i thought “hey what if Vessel had a scythe”

again leaning into Sleep being more of a big bad deity, but god of sleep and dreams and what is death if not an eternal sleep? so Sleep has Vessel go out and kill people pretty much, sometimes Sleep will take over and do it Themselves, but most the time it’s Vessel

after II, III, and IV become vessels they start doing this in a more ritualistic way with Vessel taking the lead. either II, III, or IV will lure someone back to where the rituals take place and that’s where either Vessel or Sleep in Vessle’s body will be waiting with a scythe and the other two vessels by their sides

this becomes a story that locals would tell as a warning, through this, Sleep has gained Their own mythology and many people fear It.
