megumi did nothing but stare as you traced the lines and scars of his palm absentmindedly, paying no attention to the trashy slasher film the two of you were watching.

he observed you gliding your fingers up and down his palm, a ticklish and gentle sensation which made his chest feel tight and warm. he thinks he’d die for moments like these, where you look so content just in his presence, he’d die a million times over just to see you so comfortable.

megumi doesn’t know how long he’s been watching you, but at some point you return his gaze and grin that stupid way only you can manage, a smile that makes face turn rosy and stomach do flips.

“what’re you lookin’ at?” you sidled closer to him on the couch and rested your head on his chest and megumi swore that you were something like an angel in that moment.

he only smiled, though, relaxing into you. “nothing. this movie kinda sucks, though.”

𝐆𝐎𝐉𝐎 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐔... thinks kids are little brats and ankle biters that spend the majority of their time purposefully trying to get on his last nerve with those cheeky smiles and grabby hands. that being said, gojo naturally loves kids. will he ever admit it? probably not. so when the two of you spend the day babysitting your baby nephew who's only recently beginning to walk, he admires the way you look with a chunky baby attached to your hip as you prepare lunch for the three of you in the kitchen. gojo has been a major help the entire afternoon with changing diapers and being at your every need, hint hint, he wants you to see how good of a father he would be. gojo stands at the kitchen counter with you, giving the baby a soft little poke in the cheek. your nephew is chubby, cheeks full of soft baby fat and eyes filled with wonder at the sight of gojo's brilliant, diamond eyes.

"i think he likes you," you hum, bouncing your nephew a few times as a chunky baby claw comes up and tugs at your hair without a care in the world. gojo chuckles, poking the baby's cheek again in response.

after the day ends with a successful babysitting job, the two of you collapse onto the sofa together as your nephew is finally taken off of your hands and gone home with his parents. gojo seems rather exhausted, laying his head on your chest with an exasperated sigh. despite a baby being exceptionally hard work, he can't help but find himself enjoying the little moments the three of you had together... in the back of his mind, he wonders what it would be like if you had your own child.

"babe, i want one." 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐔... has told you all about his former job volunteering at a kindergarten during the summer a few years back (elaborated here), and you're more than aware your boyfriend loves being around children and is incredibly good with them. at first, he's definitely a bit scary, but the scary man has a heart of gold and soul of light itself. the two of you are in a grocery store when he feels a light tub on his oversized pants, looking down to see a little boy with teary eyes looking back up at both of you.

"hey, little guy," geto says, tone softening immediately as he assesses the situation and crouches down to the little boy's eye level, "where are your parents?"

the little boy mumbles, sniffling into his sleeves as geto smiles fondly at him. you're more than surprised when you see your boyfriend gently take the little boy's hand in his, eyes ever so soft.

"it's okay, you can stick with us for now, okay? we'll find your parents," geto smiles, and after wandering the store for a bit and asking a staff member for help, the boy is reunited with his mother at the cash register. the little boy giggles, waving goodbye to you and geto as he grabs his mom's hand and walks out of the store. he can't help but imagine what you would look like, holding the hand of his own child as the you go grocery shopping. could you imagine it? he definitely can.

"he was cute, wasn't he?" geto smiles, taking the basket from you as the both of you continue your shopping. 𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐈 𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐎... waits in line with you at his favorite ice cream stand. the weather was particularly warm today and he decided to take you out for a little treat considering the heat. he was more surprised when you came down the stairs in that pretty sundress he likes, nanami is more than sure he's in heaven right now as the two of you order ice cream cones. beside you, there's a little girl not more than four years old who's grubby hands hold a leaky ice cream cone and chomp away at the sweet dessert with bright eyes. the little girl's dad smiles at you and nanami fondly after noticing his daughter glance up at you curiously. nanami can't help but feel the blood rush to his face at the sight of you so chipper around the child; you were always great with kids.

"say hi, lele," the dad says, and the lele waves at you and nanami with sticky little ice cream hands. a soft laugh escapes you as you wave back. the little girl's hair was done up in pigtails that bounced with every move. when they leave, you turn back to nanami with lovesick eyes.

he can't deny it's still on his mind even a few minutes later as the two of you enjoy your ice cream cones together on a park bench.

he suddenly asks, "how do you feel about children?"

"oh, kids? i love kids," you smile, taking another lick at your ice cream. nanami tilts his head. that wasn't the answer he expected.

"no, i meant having kids."

ur papa!gojo fic was amazing 🫶🏽 and it gave me an idea i wanted to share: back when your baby was only a couple months he jokingly put her up against the wall to measure her, and she was only like 2’1. but then when she was 3 and a half he remembered to do it again, and this time she was 3’2 and he immediately started to tear up when he saw the big gap in space and how fast she grew!! 😭 became so clingy the rest of the night!!

back when the nursery was still under construction, i’m a thousand percent sure: satoru went all out with decorations ‘nd knick knacks to make the space feel extra homey <3 at least, it's what he says to excuse the splurging!

and the first time his baby stood up against the growth chart, he was holding her hands to keep her upright and steady, all while you marked a chalky line atop her head. it was only a silly joke between you two, your baby’s legs were like jelly— strong enough to hold only a feather!

then, next time, his baby’s the one pulling him into her room— legs strong enough to hold her own! grip strong enough to make him say ow when she pulls on his pinky finger, stomping her way around the house!

“what is it! what is it, cupcake?” his back’s arched over as he walks, “what’dya wanna show me?”

“look papa!” and his baby points at a new line marked against the chart he put up himself— a cute giraffe decal on the wall. he was so proud of his work back then, “i’m big!”

you’re there too, sitting on the rug in her room, twiddling a stick of chalk between your fingers. you tilt your head towards the chart, “new record for our baby.”

“ooooh my gosh!!” it’s loud and dramatic as he sweeps her up and off her feet, tucking her head into his neck, feeling all the little giggles come out of her against his shoulder. “my baby’s so big! i can’t believe it!”

there’s so much spinning and twirling and celebrating going on— that if you didn’t know your husband, you wouldn’t have guessed he was doing his best to not shed tears in her presence.

“my baby’s so big…” a little out of breath, he turns to look at you with trembling lips, “i can’t believe it.”

Sleep clung from your body, heavy and almost impossible to shake off. You barely opened your eyes when the sound of the front door opening reached your ears. A small smile appeared on your lips, knowing your lover would soon join you under the covers and hold you in his strong arms. But as the time passed and sleep dragged your eyelids back down he never came.

The next time you opened your eyes his absence felt like a chill running down your spine. Still a bit drowsy, you pushed yourself up from the bed and made your way to the living room, where the TV screen’s faint glow was the only thing making noise.

“Yuuji?” your low voice startled him, his chestnut irises quickly searched for you in the dark.

“Sorry, did I wake you up?” you shook your head, walking around the sofa to join him “is something wrong?”

“You’re not in bed, I came looking for you.”

Yuuji smiled sweetly, his hand caressed your cheek as soon as you sat down next to him.

“I’m sorry baby, I wanted to have a moment to breathe before going to bed.”

“Are you okay? The mission wasn’t too rough on you, was it? Do I need to talk to Megumi?” your eyebrows almost touched in concern, hand catching a strand of his pink hair and placing it back to where it should be. Your eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness, so you checked his face and his messed up clothes to make sure he was fine, but nothing seemed out of place.

Yuuji giggled, catching your hand in his and keeping it right next to his cheek.

“I’m fine, everything’s fine” he placed a tender kiss on your wrist, that sweet and warm smile of his brightening up his handsome face “don’t you wanna go back to bed?

“Not if it’s not with you…”

Your boyfriend chuckled once again.

“You’re so cute when you get all clingy” he pulled into his arms, finally getting a smile out from you.

“You’ve spoiled me, what did you expect?” you wrapped your arms around his neck, he started placing kisses under your jaw, making you giggle “Yuuji!”

“I’ll keep on spoiling you as much as I can” next thing you knew, Yuuji had picked you up in his arms bridal style “alright, back to bed it is, gorgeous girls need to get their beauty sleep!”

Laughing, your fingertips brushed his jaw and redirected him towards you.

“Gorgeous boys give their girlfriends a good night kiss.”

“You’re totally right” with a smile, he leaned in and his lips placed a soft and sweet kiss on top of yours.

yuuji feels like he was destined to be a dad. he loves being a dad. he loves taking care of your two kids. he loves it so much that he happily gave up his job to become a househusband, not wanting to miss a moment of such a precious time. he loves getting to spend every day with them and taking care of the house for you and dedicating himself to the family that he loves so much.

on the day your youngest starts pre-school, you take the day off from work, knowing how hard it is for yuuji to see your kids grow. it’s not easy for you, but you’re able to focus on how proud you are and lose yourself in your daughter’s excitement and joy at finally being able to be a “big girl” and go to school just like her older brother.

yuuji however just can’t stop crying, no matter how hard he tries, even as he tries to assure your children that everything is fine and he’s just really happy.

and as you both watch your children run through the gates of the pre-school, it’s a good thing you’re there bc yuuji immediately wilts like a flower that hasn’t seen the sun in days when your children are out of sight. you wrap an arm around his middle and he instinctively tosses his over your shoulder to hold you close and tuck you into his side.

he rests the side of his head on top of yours with a heavy sigh, seeming to have no real desire to leave the pre-school even though your business there as parents is now done. if you let him, he would probably stand there until it was time to pick your kids up and take them home.

you give his firm stomach a pat and begin to guide him off down the sleepy, neighborhood street, off towards your empty house and away from your two little balls of pure sunshine.

“c’mon daddy, let’s go home,” you affectionately tease him. “I hid some ice cream in the freezer for you.”

“thanks mama,” he says, and you can hear the sadness in his voice even as he teases you in return. “you’re always looking out for me.”

“of course I am. someone has to and you’re too busy looking out for all of us,” you tell him as you give his waist a squeeze. he then thoughtfully hums and you know something is on his mind. “what?”

“nothing, just…what if we have another baby?”
