I just thought of something: how they gonna yoink Goldie Lock's powers? His passive is like the strongest defense possible- nothing even cuts him, even John's 7.0 wind slashes. Injectections would bounce off him unless it was his choice. His aunt would have to spike his food... ohshitohfuck

That’d be scary, but I like to believe Volcan is against the plan of Arlo getting his ability taken. Though if that does happen, I think Arlo wouldn’t get fully drugged and knocked out, like his insides are just as defensive as his outsides.

Instead of Volcan drugging him though, I thought of another solution. Remi’s basically the number one target for Ember, but Arlo would be too dangerous if he went against them in revenge. So Ember would make a proposition. They’ll spare Remi’s life if Arlo gives up his ability. Remi pleads with him not too, while Arlo is conflicted. He can’t let what happened to Rei happen to Remi. So he willingly gives up his ability for her sake.

I’m also imagining Volcan watching over the whole proceeding, pleading with her nephew to keep his ability. And once he gives it up, despite the terminate orders, Volcan can’t bring herself to go back on her deal so she leaves Remi and Arlo, now crippled.

7 Seeds Week, Day 1!

Theme of the day: Seasons

Starring: Haru and Natsu

Day 1: Seasons

“Were you ever bullied for your name?”

“Huh?” Natsu looks at Haru in surprise, having not expected the guy to start talking out of the blue as they catalogued some plants “Umm… no?”

“You dodged that bullet, then” Haru says, not looking up from his work “When I was a kid, I got to hear about it every spring. Kids saw me, they’d yell spring is coming. That wasn’t all so bad, just got annoying after a while, but the problem was the bigger jerks. Near the start of summer, pun not intended, mind you, they went on about how it’s the end of spring. I got beat up a few times, too.”

“…” Natsu had a feeling she was supposed to say something to that, but she had no idea what would be appropriate. If she said the wrong thing, Haru would get mad, wouldn’t he? It was best to just stay quiet, right?

“So, in a sense” Haru said, looking up at Natsu “It’s summer that always kills spring.”

“…!” what was Haru trying to say? Was he blaming her of getting bullied!? No, that would be illogical. He must just be angry at her about something she did and was now making a jab at her for it, right? But what had it been? Natsu couldn’t think of anything she’d done that could’ve upset the guy-

“It was a joke” Haru said, having turned to look at Natsu as she stayed quiet and seeing her panicked face “I didn’t mean anything by it.”

“Oh…” Natsu felt a blush raising to her cheeks. A joke, of course. She spent so much time with Semimaru that she should be able to pinpoint a joke when she heard one! “But he never tells them with a serious face.”

“Sorry, guess that was tasteless” Haru says, scratching his head.

“Ah no, not at all!” Natsu hurries, waiving her arms around “I mean…”

Looking at her, Haru states: “I suppose we both still have some things to learn.”

“Ah… yes!” Natsu manages to answer. In a way, she was happy to not to be the only one who had some trouble talking to people.

She just hoped this’d be the last morbid joke she’d have to hear because of it.
