Oh my god FINALLY someone shares my opinion on this. It's even worse when the relationship is toxic or the person you're tied to is an abusive asshole. Just thinking about this shit is scary, man

Thinking about how utterly nightmarish soulmate AUs are. There is a physical mark carved into your person as a constant reminder that on your own, you are not whole. In our world, the human body is a complete and individual thing, but in soulmate AUs, you are forcibly tied to someone and a timer counting down to when you will meet is embedded in your skin and you cannot get it out. You can try desperately to stay alone or love someone who is not your soulmate, but the clock will not stop ticking and fate will not change. The most momentous occasion in your life is meeting someone else, an occasion burned into your skin. This is a horror story.

Yeah well this isn’t about drawing a pretty picture okay! This is about proper rendering and I trailed off during the sketching phase.

Drew my DnD character's patron. This is his humanoid version, a sort of "clone" he uses to talk with people face to face when he doesn't want to frighten them.

I am writing up a proper sheet for him and am considering drawing his other forms. If you'd like to see that, let me know! I might make the sheets available to others if they want to use the guy in their campaigns or something
