Exactly!! I’ve had to justify being a nonbinary lesbian so many times and while I have the knowledge to properly explain on it due to a hyperfixation on queer stuff I shouldn’t have to defend myself like a lawyer in court constantly! A lot of time it’s just super draining thing to have to justify my identity.

Stop quizzing us on queer history and asking us questions we aren’t qualified to answer about the world and about politics and about our identities

I find it a bit funny that rn my two favorite shows are this kids cartoon about a silly fictional reality show and this incredibly dark and serious show about a team who catches serial killers by piecing together their troubled pasts while they themselves also all have serious trauma.
Just so we’re all clear, it is okay to miss people you no longer want in your life.

Your characterization will never be 100% accurate or considered as such by everyone. Characters are up for interpretation. Everyone perceives them differently. If you try to please everyone with your characterization, you’re going to end up dissatisfied and miserable. Plus people often hold contradictory interpretations of the same character. At the end of the day, it’s more fun to write your own unique interpretation that’s accurate *to you* rather than stress over being 100% accurate to a general audience. It’s an impossible standard. Put your own spin and flavor on your faves:)
