Hello, sorry if you’re busy, but I was wondering if you could perhaps make a tutorial on how you draw hair? Your art is really pretty! Thank you.

I don’t think I’m a good example for tutorials, but what i do first is study the hair shape!Let’s go for example with kara’s hair. I first look and figure out what’s her shape. In this case, kara’s shape is, straight from the top of the head, and in the middle it starts being wavy.

When I start drawing hair, i start with the hairline, do the line where her hair splits, and i go from there.

Kara’s hairline is straight, and gets wavier, so when i meet the middle of her head, i just start doing wide waves (not many)

Here I hope it explains better how her hair works like.

Now to give a straighter example (the hair, not lena, lena is a lesbian), let’s go with lena maybe. In this case, the hair goes all the way down, no waves

As before, i start from the hairline, which in this case (and most straight hair cases) is almost stick to the forehead, cause hair is like that, you know, if it’s straight it won’t go in waves, it will just fall flatly

I follow the line from the hairline down,

also, even tho straight hair is flat, add some lines (not many) to give it some life and not make it look like it’s a piece of fabric covering your head

And now, we go with a short hair example, cause they don’t usually work like long hair. So alex has this type of hair similar to kara, but short. It starts going down straight from the scalp, and it does this little and kind of messy waves,

I start with the hairline, as usual…

we go from the scalp down until we get to the middle of her head and start with the little waves,

and there we go! I actually don’t know what else to explain, and i’m feeling kinda dumb trying this cause it’s all so simple and silly.. 

Maybe, for hair lineart I try to make the lines fluidly, making them more alive, like.. let your hand loose and make quick strokes until you get the right shape! instead of making them so stiff and hard you know? (wow stiff and hard, i’m… going to stop here) Hope this is what you wanted?? Sorry for giving these supergirl women as examples but they were the first hairstyles that came to my mind

I have so many old drawings that make me cringe. I need to redraw them ALL :3

So the first image was from 2015 and I was looking at it horribly cringing when I realized:

“I can redraw this.”

So, I redrew it and holy wow I was BAD compared to now. I’m still not the best now anyway, but.. idk I’m really quite surprised with how far I’ve come since I started drawing in 2015.

Evolution of my OC! Started in 2014, it’s come quite a long way! I’ll maybe post an original comic or something to show you guys how insanely bad my drawings were hahha lmao

Honestly, I got lazy with it but I guess it turned out ok!  I’m jumping back on the shipping bandwagon and I gotta admit, these two are pretty cute together!
