Hey folks, if you feel like reading a short story here is a comic I made a while ago. I've learned a lot from making this lil zine, I hope you enjoy. Stay in and stay safe everyone!

“Raw” is a series of watercolor paintings that explore how internal conflict manifests themselves in many different ways, one of them being in the form of compulsive skin picking. As someone who has personally struggled with dermatillomania from a young age, I wanted my work to show the warning signs of a bad habit transforming into something much more harmful. Although picking is not a particularly uncommon behavior, it was hard for me to recognize that I had developed an extremely unhealthy coping mechanism. My hope is that these intimate paintings can act as a cautionary piece that encourages anyone who may relate to break the vicious cycle and get the help they deserve.
