She did a comic about cuckolding that became meme fuel, and it seems they were trying to basically say you're a cuck for liking Hetalia. Because they're so mature /s

DeValier

Hey so George DeValier deleted their ffn.net account and like… I feel like I should say something about this??

Because although it is NOT the end of the world and there are people who’ve saved the stories, etc, it feels like a big deal to me.  

I don’t want to say DeValier was my idol, more like… my motivator. I saw how insanely popular they were, and how everyone had read them, and how they had fanart and a tumblr tag and how they didn’t finish some of their stories and for so many years I’ve said to myself: 

I’m going to beat that. 

And not in a hateful or unhealthy way but like… that was always the goal for me. It gave me something to shoot for, and honestly without DeValier’s immense success I might not have taken fanfiction writing as seriously as I did, or seen that kind of popularity as a possibility for me. And not to say that what I write is anywhere close to being that popular, or that popularity defines how I perceive the value of my fics, but like… 

Until last year, fanart of my writing was something I only ever dreamed of. People making posts about my writing felt impossible. 

…but I saw that it existed for big names in the fandom, particularly DeValier, and that motivated me to put my head down and keep working, with that goal in mind. “Maybe someday someone will draw something that I write.” Or the even bigger motivator: “They didn’t finish some their big name fics, so I will. I have to, I HAVE to.”

So I guess this is a… thank you?? Not only to DeValier but other big names in the fandom who inspired me to work harder and push myself in ways I would have never done if I was writing original works where my “competition” was like… Actual Published Authors. I think in that environment, I would have been overwhelmed and given up, and I couldn’t have written 3 drafts of a novel by age 22, and I would have lost the invaluable writing experience that comes with that. 

So, from one exhausted fanfiction author to the Greats, thank you so much for all the hard work you’ve put in, you’re such an inspiration to the rest of us, and you will be missed 💙

Can I just say that I admire how you are trying to make peace with the antis? And I know how in a previous post you said you are used to handling negative types of responses and comments, but plz remember to take care of yourself during this for so much negativity is bad

Which is basically Hetafancy talk for make peace not war. Which I’m taking the message to heart. After awhile though, people being constantly rude does make it difficult not to get salty or bitch back but I try aksksksksk
