y’all do you support this new law?

Indiana just passed a law which made every single school (K-12) no longer be able have their phones, smart watches or any kind of personal device that can contact parents OR ANYONE in school. this is bad for me because my mom subs at my old elementary school and I don’t know how to contact her anymore besides emailing her and I’ll end up getting in trouble either way for just emailing her. And her schedule changes every day so I don’t know if I’m gonna be car rider or bus rider which means that I might not know how to get home. And then the school is probably gonna end up blaming me because I don’t know. My school said it was to stop bullying but bullying happens one way or another. If you take away something that could cause bullying they’re just going to find out a loophole to it, it can’t be stopped fully, just slowed down slightly. My teachers haven’t said anything about my Apple Watch being worn all the time and they have seen wear it, and that’s my only kind of communication with my mom. No one that I know supports this idea because in case of an emergency, we might need to call home but then we can’t because we aren’t allowed to get any devices. I wasn’t even allowed to text my mom what time we went to lunch because she always wants to know to tell me what I’m going to do to get home. (Bus or car). And before with the rules, if the teacher saw your phone out whenever it wasn’t supposed to be, you would just get a warning and you’d have to go put it in your locker. Now, if they find your phone four times you get your phone freaking banned from the premises and each time it’s found your parents get a call home and your parents have to pick up the damn phone like at some kind of nuclear bomb.

with this law, I’m neutral about it, I think that it’s a good idea to stop bullying but the way they have enforced. It is absolutely horrible.
