can’t believe i’m doing this again for the dragon prince so soon after release. but this is necessary. for, unfortunately, the fandom is Already spreading whitewashed art of our favourite dark characters and making light and brite ™ edits.

the dragon prince is a show that celebrates diversity in every facet and aspect of its story. we are given a rich and colourful cast in both skin tone, personality, and complexity. the creators themselves have spoken at length about how they value diversity.

come ON people. live up to the diversity we are all cheering on in this show. respect the creators. respect the characters. nip your racism, subconscious or not, in the bud. you want to be different to other fandoms? you want this show to be the diverse representation we’ve always wanted and needed? act like it actually matters to you. every time you go on about diversity but reblog whitewashed art you are just revealing how performative you are. every time you create it? even worse.
