This was the first Trollhunters song I had ever written, dedicated to the Trollhunters team and more specifically to Anton Yelchin. I had depicted Jim Lake Jr. on his own, walking uphill under some starry sky, so I decide to write a serenade for his difficult journey.
To be honest, after having finished it, I didn’t know if I was actually dedicating this song to Jim Lake Jr. or to Anon Yelchin himself.
Now believe it or not, this song has become so important to me as an artist in ways you cannot imagine. It was this song that made me realize that maybe, just maybe, what I was doing was better than I expected. It’s because of this song that I decided to never give up on my music.
And, without sounding to presumptuous, I think Anton would agree that if we have something we’re passionate about, never give it up, no matter what.
