my favorite part of ascended astarion is just the fact that you get your classic evil possessive creature of the night boyfriend...except he's not. He's up with the dawn, basking in the sunshine on his giant evil throne he made them drag out to the garden, and then when the sun goes down he's putting on his most dramatic of jammies.

Rarely have I seen a fandom that is gatekeeping every single tiny detail, like the Astarion fandom does. It's really quite tiresome.

Yeah, there are headcanons others have that I am personally not into, but I'm not gonna scream and throw tantrums about it.

Just enjoy your stories and whatever tickles your brain and let others do the same.

Other people's stories and headcanons do not threaten yours and none of us has a doctorate in Astarionism, nor do we own the character.

I will never forgive Larian for a lot of things, especially the severe downplay of Wyll's transformation. He gets burned through all the layers of the Nine Hells - the fires of Avernus, the lightning of Dis, the diseases of Minauros, the lava of Phlegmthos, the bottomless ocean of Stygia, the avalanches of Malbolge, the black ichor of Maladomini, the bitter coldness of Cania, the firewinds of Nessus.

He goes through an intense transformation and we can't even ask him if he is okay. Just a stupid, "How does it feel like to be a devil?"

Even the fandom doesn't have the decency to respect Wyll enough to not make fun of him because he doesn't want to party.

All I want is to hug Wyll after what he goes through and he is still one of the only companions you CAN'T hug.

Wyll, you will always deserve better.
