I see bartylus as exes, ok I'll admit it. I'm not an endgame bartylus type. But. I think their relationship is so special. I think even after they broke up, they are such good friends. They trust each other more than anyone. They can communicate with a single look.

They helped each other figure shit out. Regulus knew he was gay early on, and he nudged (occasionally shoved) barty in the right direction to figure it out for himself.

They definitely fucked and made out and experimented bc it was a safe space

They'd kiss and cuddle and then talk about Evan and james, still finding comfort in each other all the same

When barty is about to go off the rails, regulus touches his shoulder and brings him back to earth

When regulus is spiraling into his own head, barty holds him together

And when they finally get with james and Evan, they get to see each others partner learn to do those things

Regulus gets to see Evan calm barty down

Barty gets to see james hold regulus tight

They get to watch each other heal
