eren nodded, folding his arms over his chest, "yeah, yeah, you make a good point. there's a zero chance of cookie dough being bad." plus, it's the most nostalgic choice and he was sort of in the mood for something comforting, "what're you gonna get?" he asked aurora, a slight grin on his face, "you goin' cookie dough too? or another classic?"

"you know... that is quite the tough decision for you to make." aurora nodded her head in agreement with that statement. "i don't know if i could decide between the two either. but if i had to, then i'd say cookie dough. i mean really, how could you ever go wrong with that as an option?" she was slightly bias to that. mainly because it was one of her absolute favorites. how could she not choose it?

reece looks up with a jump, a bit startled to be called out like this. and it's not his fault and it's not her fault, it's simply the ice cream's fault, "sorry, i was just wondering about how they make waffle bowls," he gestures down at the waffle bowl holding their cherry cordial scoop, "do you think there's a how it's made about them?" but then they snap out of it, looking at esme, "anyway, that's for me to find out later. i'm listening now. promise." he salutes his friend, sitting up straight in his seat to prove that he's really listening.

" i'm not sure where they'd even be operating from — like — okay, really long shot, but what if they're not even from here ? someone who moved, or — " she stops. rolls it back and sets their eyes on him with a deep frown. sometimes they forget not everyone is as enthused about her search as she is. esme tips her shades down to peer at them over her glasses, cotton candy ice cream in front of her long forgotten. " i can't even see you well and i know you're not listening to me. do you hate me ? is that it ? that has to be it. " a huff as she sits back in the shitty metal chair, but her tone is light, the characteristic bite nowhere to be found.

"is there an age limit on marshmallows?" eren tilts his head to the side, a slight look of intrigue on his face as senne speaks, "am i no longer allowed to enjoy a s'more?" he asks him with a soft chuckle, "are adults doomed to a sad non-marshmallow existence?!" now he's leaning toward the cookie dough, obviously not because of senne's comment or anything.

senne is hovered over the selection of ice creams, taking note of which flavour seems to be reaching its end and which flavour has hardly been touched. they’ve been here every day this week, at the same time. luckily for him, today he gets to run into their favourite beefcake. “that’s a perverted question,” he says flatly, not looking up from the glass. “aren’t you too old for marshmallows?”

"are you not connected to the wifi? because i am connected to the wifi and things are working great." they think, at least. he threw his phone across the room about an hour ago, wanting to really lock in on the love is blind UK and he didn't want a distraction. they lift themself from their sprawl across the couch to get his phone from the floor, "but i will order the pizza. that is, if i can pick the toppings." they wiggle their eyebrows. plus, it's not like he can't afford it. even with writer's block, he's got savings and a relatively wealthy family to thank.

" i have like . . . no service . i feel like i'm in the twilight zone or something . " he let's out a soft sigh of annoyance as he drops his phone . cain shoves the device back into his pocket before turning back to his roommate . " what about you ? you got enough to order the pizza ? " cain won't tell the other he's almost to the point of being hangry . that's what happens when you work a shift on an empty stomach . and there was no way he'd could eat any more popcorn for the week .

she doesn't find his quip funny. not now. and she waits for the response, a whole new wave of rage passing over her when she lies, but it doesn't show that passionately yet. at first, she simply says, "sick? hm," miranda paces a bit closer to dash, ignoring the pizza offer altogether, "mr. phillips didn't say anything about you being sick when i spoke to him earlier." she crosses her arms over her chest, "actually, he told me a much different story. can you guess what that is?" if not, she's more than happy to fill in the blank.

he blinks to avoid looking at her for too long. when she uses that tone, he feels so small, like he’s a child again. despite his nerves, however, he can’t help the quip that flies out of his mouth almost instantly, “look at us, on the same page and all.” the use of the full name means he’s in trouble, though he thinks that’s the only time she ever really refers to him by any name. “i’m sick. like, really sick. real deadly stuff. they said i should take the day off before i infect the office. you should probably stay away before you catch it.” a beat. then, he holds out the cardboard box. “pizza?”
