Ya boy went to a pride event (the bow tie matches my pants, btw) also, ya boy began identifying as ya boy over quarantine.
I have not yet gotten a proper haircut, I just hacked off three feet of hair and my sister took clippers to me to try and fix it a bit but it has since grown quickly because that’s what it does, so… I did not remove my hat while walking around.

A passion project started by 8 friends, fans, and fan content-creators based in & around Vancouver, BC with the intent of celebrating the epic, death-defying bond between Castiel & Dean Winchester from Supernatural.
To Hell + Back: A Destiel Anthology is a 8.5” x 11”, roughly 328 page, 3lb brick of keepsake Destiel goodness. It contains full page art, fic, comics, poetry, and podfic from 80+ amazing creators from our fandom as well as a foreword by the sexiest man alive: @bisexualdemondean! Cover art for the physical and digital copies has been done by these amazing artists respectively: @winchester-reload and @convallariini!

We get a lot of wet here, and we’ve never had our bird feed mold, though I think some things do sprout if they stay too long in a very wet tray.
We’re too far inland to see gulls much, though when it’s very stormy they come further in-- in California we’d get gulls when it was stormy on the coast and then they’d go back out, here not so much. It’s mostly songbirds/sparrows/finches that we get coming for our seed feeders, but we’re trying to court the crows. We put a general seed mix out that’s got millet and sunflower seeds, but then we also give them treats! For the crows specifically we’ve put out the old cat food that doesn’t comply with either boy’s current dietary needs, but of course you can’t dump more than a few pieces at a time or neighbor cats will think we’ll feed them... and then sometimes a corn chip or some popcorn or some other bird-friendly scraps, and then we put out nuts. Sometimes a few almonds and we also have a big bag of mixed nuts in shell and because most of us have a low-key walnut allergy, the birds will get the walnuts while the humans eat the pecans/hazelnuts.
I know there are doves and pigeons that I see on drives but they sadly don’t come to our yard here-- old house, we had a dove family that nested with us every year. I’ve seen a GORGEOUS pinky-brown pigeon out by the bridge we cross to get to the doctor’s office but they don’t hang around suburban bird feeders I guess. And the crows don’t really throw their weight around too much with the songbirds. The squirrels’ territory seems to end a couple blocks out from us because they never show up at the feeders. Outside of the seed feeders and the occasional treat, we’ve got a hummingbird feeder, but not a suet feeder at present. We used to have one of those up in the mountains and it attracted corvids!
does anyone here feed birds in their gardens/yards?
i’m ordering some bird feeders to hang from my windows but i’d love to hear any personal advice or experience other people have had with it!
i’ve looked at a few trays, but i was really worried about bird faeces landing in the tray and stuff, especially because it’s on my windowsill and i don’t know what my working hours would be, so i didn’t want to worry about birds getting ill and stuff - i’ve ordered one of these very light feeders that hangs from a hook and hanging one to begin with, and then if that one goes well i’m gonna hang another on the other window
i was thinking it would be best to start now as we come into august, and then kinda keep it up because i know birds need to take some time to find new food sources, but then they keep at it!
i don’t personally have a big yard space or anything - we have really good, wide windowsills, and outside one of my windows is downstairs’ roof which a lot of birds come and settle on, but i haven’t the lawn or trees or anything

Mark and Ellen Craig... are the BEST. Honestly, agreed on all the main cast faves. I love... almost every character on this show, actually.
I do love Boomer but I wish he was allowed to be more than just a magnet for all the worst things that could possibly happen to a guy...
And Victor is actually my favorite, like... I mean I absolutely get why you don’t like him, but I feel like... in terms of how he talks to/about women, it’s not so much that he’s markedly worse than everyone else, it’s that like... Wayne (in all other aspects, a Sweet and Pure boy) can ask Annie about her sex life or make repeated passes and it gets laughed off 99% of the time, whereas Victor gets called out every time. Once he has some self-awareness, he improves a lot. But also a lot of what he says doesn’t come across so much as his genuine self, as it does like... his constantly trying to be this guy he thinks people will like and getting rightly smacked down for it when that guy is super unlikable. He’s got no idea how to people. I think his relationship with Mark is a lot of fun-- would listen to Mark berate Victor Ehrlich all day every day.

Westphall, Auschlander, Ellen, Mark, Axelrod, Helen, Wayne, Chandler, the woman who pretty much made her co-workers get sick of each other and start the meeting that made them move out which was a pretty clever move lol, so far. Boomer, I’m on the fence. The blonde sexist pig is someone I don’t like. Every season though, the statue hands get destroyed and it’s hilarious. Almost a requirement each season! LOL!
I forget where it was but I saw jeans for sale and like they were labeled as “girlfriend cut” instead of ‘boyfriend’ and like the irony to me is that the term “boyfriend style jeans” was originally done as this weird way to heterosexualize the dangerous idea of women wearing slightly loose pants so you knew you weren’t a dyke but like apparently the use of the term “boyfriend” was like too much of a gender confusion crisis for the buyer so they had to change it *again* as opposed to just calling it “loose fitting” to begin w and now it has fully no-homo’d itself into a corner and it just sounds like yr stealing yr jeans from some butch girl yr dating
FEMA, a government entity, does not accept donations, but they are working closely with non-profits that are relying on donations. Hart urges people who want to donate to make sure that whichever charity you choose has been approved by National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
Here’s a list of some organizations working closely with survivors:
California Fire Foundation. Through its SAVE program, the California Fire Foundation is distributing $250 cash gift cards for those who have lost their homes. “Anyone who has suffered a loss of more than 25 percent of their home can get a gift card for $250 per household,” says Carroll Willis, communications director at the California Fire Foundation and the California Professional Firefighters.
United Way (Greater Los Angeles) and United Way of Northern California. Olmstead says that it is working both with immediate financial aid for survivors and on long-term recovery efforts.
California Community Foundation, assisting with long-term recovery efforts and people who have been displaced and/or unemployed because of the fires. This organization also supports mental health services.
North Valley Community Foundation, which is offering grocery and other gift cards available at the Chico Posse Foundation.
Ventura County Community Foundation allows survivors to sign up and apply for funds.
AirBNB has an Open Homes program through which you can donate a temporary living space. This is a very practical way to help if you have a spare room nearby or other property near the impacted areas.
You know that whole trope where like, the protagonists get teleported up into the aliens’ spaceship or base or whatever and the alien appears to them only it doesn’t appear as it really looks like but rather, since it doesn’t want to scare the protagonists, it takes the form of something we find familiar and pleasing and is like, “I look like your dad or whatever–is this form okay?” Like I think about that trope a lot and I think like, what if the alien couldn’t pick out a form via telepathy and only had earth media to try and decide what form would scare its human guests least and be accepted almost immediately and honestly the more I think about it the more options for what form that might be are just really fun to me.
