✧ the fifth house ✧

the fifth house is a theater and a playground for creative potential. this is where our enjoyment of the arts is born; when we leave the fourth house of home, our first destination is to seek out what we love. what i believe we also find in the fifth house is what we find beautiful, interesting, and what we hope to create in creative pursuits.

mars/aries: loves pieces, movies, and literature with action. drawn to a certain raw quality in art that is very authentic with the emotions it will illicit. doesn’t necessarily care for ‘cleaned up’ art, in fact, they prefer messier, less composed subject matter. they like a ‘punch in the gut’ evocation of feeling.

venus/libra/taurus: paintings with soft strokes and particular aesthetic. there is particular love for theater, music, and dance; also subtle humour and sensual themes. they enjoy a happy ending, and have appreciation of realism art and hints at impressionism. the experience of art for these folks should feel as beautiful as it looks.

mercury/gemini/virgo: prefers a comedic approach to art, with intelligent arguments and calculated dialogue. gemini enjoys more lighthearted works with clever humour or visual pun. the virgo end of the spectrum prefers themed appearances in art; specific colour schemes, even composition, and more ‘organized’ pieces. both enjoy geometric patterns, and heavy description and figurative language in writing.

♀︎ Venus in Capricorn, Cancer and Scorpio natives will often take the longest amount of time to move on from a serious relationship.

♊︎ Gemini Moon’s may always have something sarcastic to say. Like they could be in a serious situation and may laugh for no reason. I’ve noticed a lot of them have weird ways of coping.
