interesting lil connection i made: bismuth reveals that the sea spire (and other structures like it) are designed for thinking. peridot calls stevens bathroom an "archaic think chamber", so it seems like fountains/running water are associated with thinking/meditation in the gem world, and this is probably why pearls room looks like it does with the big stacks of water.
