I was inspired by that quote from SAW after realizing it fit Ares so perfectly; his time in the Shadowfell really *did* make him grateful to be alive... After so many brushes with death, his relationship with his own mortality changed forever. But without it? He wouldn't have gone through all the growth that he did. 🤧
