Things That Make Life Worth Living
things that make life worth living
purple pens
cats
hugs that linger
too tight hugs
platonic cuddling
soft blankets
lying on freshly vacuumed carpet
a new haircut
ice cream from my favorite shop
homecooked meals
licking cake batter off the spoon
finishing a good book
waking up rested
afternoon naps
people who understand me
finally changing out a new piercing
driving with the windows down
my grandparents house at christmas time
soup

People who support capitalism think that socialism is about hating wealth, when in reality it’s about hating poverty. I want to get rid of poverty, but if that gets rid of great wealth at the same time, I’m willing to make that sacrifice. If that makes me a radical, I’m fine with that.
Oscar Wilde saying death must be so beautiful, “to forget time, to forgive life,” might be so macabre but to me it makes me want to live. That validation of yes, life is something that must be forgiven, but there’s time for that. For now, just live, live and give it all you got. The time for rest will come eventually, and you have infinity for that.
Fourth of July by Sufjan Stevens going “we’re all gonna die” over and over is so soothing to me. It doesn’t feel ironic, it doesn’t feel darkly comforting, it just feels plain comforting. We’re all gonna die. It probably sounds morbid but it’s such a calming and beautiful song.
listen I know not showing the monster is often times the best choice to create suspense in the audience and also foster imagination and wonder, but have you considered… some monster design is just sick af and it’s awesome to see it come to life
nightmare scenario idea: music becomes like tv/film is now, and instead of having every song virtually available at your pleasure, there are now multiple sites and apps that all have different corners of the music market, sorted by stuff like their record company, and they all have different payment plans
