ARE WE FORGETTING THAT MOST IF NOT ALL OF THE WATER IN NEW VEGAS IS CLEAN??? ARE WE FORGETTING THAT THERE ARE NCR SHARECROPPER FARMS??? ARE WE FORGETTING THE FARMING YOU SEE IN YOUR OWN LITTLE TRIBE IN FALLOUT 2??? ARE WE FORGETTING THE MODERN TEACHING, MEDICINE, AND AGRICULTURE PRACTICES IN EVERY SINGLE GAME???

Are you going to ignore the fact that world of fallout is an irradiated wasteland with no farming land or clean water right? Are you also forgetting the fact that this is world where civilization has been bombed back to the bronze age? I know you want wasteland trides to be wholesome farmers and not roaming slavers who kill people on a daily basis but the world of fallout is, as the developers described, a shattered wasteland. No amount of romanticism about village communes is going to change this fact.

Are you going to ignore the fact that these are all bad faith questions and you’re being needlessly combative and that first game literally features prominent agriculture, trade, police, government and a fucking library? They weren’t bombed back to the bronze age, you jazz age pervert. They were set back sure, but by the second game they have an expanding, central government and huge advancements in medicine, plus they’re making trade with a highly technologically advance society. Even Fallout New Vegas sympathizes raiders to a way better degree than any other game. The Khans literally take up medicine and drug dealing because they can’t feasibly raid anymore. There is no way that the plundering and the raiding would still be viable after 200 years which is stated Fallout New Vegas! Si what the fuck else would these raiders do? Die? Did you play the games, dude? It doesn’t always have to be a grim dark fantasy and as much as I would love to, I’m not writing Fallout anytime soon so your precious slaughter/doom fest won’t be tainted with my… love and compassion and cultural community “bullshit” that’s clearly got you flying into my inbox in a rage. I don’t care for your thoughts, never asked, never will. Watch this, have a juice, and maybe calm down.

While I agree Arcade isn’t easily intimidated the fact that he was born in Navarro has nothing to do with that because he would’ve been very young when Navarro was sacked and therefore he never would have actually been trained by anyone.

To ship Arcade and Vulpes is to dumb Arcade down to nothing but a gay doctor. In ANY circumstance he and Vulpes would despise each other, and if they don’t then that’s not Arcade and/or that’s not Vulpes.

It’s always irked me that people shipped them together, it’s not cute (especially not in the context of any Legion ending). To me it’s just an attempt at being different, outright dismissal of Caesars Legion and their beliefs, or a refusal to recognize Arcade as the character he is.

I never actually sat down and talked to Benny before. My first run through the game he bamboozled me good and every run after that I'd just kill him. This time around I'm making an effort to engage with the lore and characters closer so I made sure to hear him out completely.

I'm actually really surprised at how, well, sane he makes it all sound. I always just assumed he was a power hungry despot and there's definitely some of that in there. But his main motivation for overthrowing House is that he genuinely believes he'd make a better leader. Not because he thinks he's smarter or anything but because he actually knows how to lead. House leads Vegas the same way he ran his corporation. Invest capital, broker favorable deals, appoint competent subordinates, and then sit back and collect the profits. Problem is that his "employees" were tribals less than a decade ago and weren't raised in a corporate hierarchy. To them, this hands off approach looks at best like carelessness and at worst like an intentional insult. I'm finally starting to understand why the Omertas call him "Not-At-Home."

And the irony of the situation is that thanks to all of his scheming, Benny himself is disappearing for days or even weeks at a time and it's weakening his peoples' confidence in him. To the point that any brain damaged yahoo with a Speech of 45 can convince them to sell him out. Benny and House are more alike than either wants to admit.

But what really gets me is that the little shit bamboozled me again. He actually had me going with all that talk about working with him to take down House. I've been playing this game and engaging with the fandom for at least a decade. I should have known for an absolute fact that there was absolutely no way to side with him but the smooth talking son of a bitch actually had me doubting myself right up until the moment the guards came in. Absolutely fucking incredible. Babygirl of all time. I might actually let him live.
