I see a lot of posts protesting how Arcade is turned into a twink and that's the noblest cause... But similarly also I have been (privately) protesting people making Vulpes a twink ?! I know this is caping for the honor of a genocidal murderer but come on. Everyone brings up the fact that he's probably 5'7 but short men (that isn't even short omg) shouldn't be twinkified eiher just for being short........Also please he's Legion you know they have fascistic training regimes and are hardcore eugenicists they wouldn't let a twink into their ranks unless they were scrapping the barrel for more cannon fodder.

Okay. So if he’s not on the front lines, why would he be muscular? If he stays at the Fort monitoring and combing through his Frumentarii and their missions when would he be walking and hefting spears and such? When would he build muscle mass?

I’m not saying he wouldn’t have strong legs, but every single person who does any walking in the Mojave would also have that strength. Also, Roman soldiers are extremely different from Caesar’s Legion.

The Legion, in addition to using guns and much smaller machetes (Vulpes would have no reason to use larger throwing spears that would weigh more and require better hip, leg, and back muscles) do not use the large traveling “packs” (I’m forgetting the terminology, but it wasn’t actual packs) that Roman soldiers did. Roman soldiers would carry—in addition to their weapons—furniture, cooking utensils, cloth to construct tents, et cetera. The Legion would most likely carry with them rations and the cloth to construct tents, but have no need for utensils to cook or furniture because, let’s be honest, nobody in the wasteland has time. Also Roman soldier rations included bread, vegetables, and meat, which is not in good supply in the wasteland (see the three Brahmin at the Fort. Not enough to feed an army of 86 tribes.) so ancient Romans were much better fed than the Legion, leading to better muscle mass and weight gain. Most wastelanders that are not rich suffer from, again, chronic malnutrition. This inhibits muscle development.

So, to sum it up, legionaries in Caesar’s Legion carry less weapons that weigh less, do not have the diet of a Roman soldier, and would have difficulty gaining muscle due to chronic malnutrition. Ergo, Vulpes would be on the skinnier side, although he would have better leg muscles from walking. I’d say that he’d have more fit lower back, torso, and shoulder muscles from swinging a machete however he uses a ripper. Which requires significantly less effort to kill with.
